It is quite embarrassing for OKC imo to be honest that so little is done for the homeless community. We got to cook food, serve it, and assist with keeping the dining area organized and clean. There was a lot of interaction and everyone got food and drinks. It was a quick effort and gave some good insight into what happens at this facility. They offer more for the homeless than just a place to get food, and I totally recommend you to get involved.

Yesterday I went because it had been a little while and I wanted to see what was in store. After some browsing I decided to look at the purses behind the desk. I had never had the issue of looking at the bags briefly and asking someone if it was okay if I carried my finds around. This time when I decided I wanted to look and one of the employees (she had red hair but I didn't catch her name) RUDELY stopped me and said "you can't go back there" I have never had an issue like this prior. I understand like changing policy or saying "hey sorry you can't go back there but if you need help or wanna see something let me know" but she didn't do any of those things. She rolled her eyes and just said "policy". I really didn't want to pull a Karen on this girl but she was being so disrespectful! I'm not sure if there's a new management or what is going on but all I do know is I'm very unimpressed with the staff now that was once so kind.
