This was my third stop of Goodwill Hunting! Pun intended! This is the lousiest goodwill - smelt terrible inside, the products are filthy - furniture especially! The lanes are cluttered and narrow. Happened to be in Mountain View and needed to avoid traffic back home so I decided to come in. Roamed a bit and found a few clothing items and wanted to try items on. Looked and looked and couldn't find a mirror. I asked a worker, Gina, where I could find a mirror. Guess what? THEY DON'T HAVE ONE SINGLE MIRROR IN THE STORE...WTH??!!! WEIRD. Went to go look for a donated mirror to help but nope they didn't have one. I ended up propping my phone on a shelf to see myself. BTW, Gina was really friendly and tried helping me. The gentleman at the counter (I did find a cute sweater) was just as friendly. Won't be going out of my way to come back to this location. I went today, and it was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon. I haven't shopped in thrift stores for awhile but was in the area and decided to check this one out. It's pretty organized, and they had a lot of clothes. When thrifting, I usually go for jackets and pants. I ended up finding some really nice Columbia jackets, Athleta pants, and a Patagonia. You really need to just look closely and be patient, and you'll find some great hidden gems! Good experience except the Asian dude at the front did not have great customer service. It felt like I was being helped by a robot. There are usually really nice people at the front, and he didn't even bother to fold the clothes and just shoved them all in the bag. read more

Used to be one of my favorite locations. Today I went in to find they recently took out all of the dressing rooms. There was no sign on the front door letting people know, so I wasted an hour getting a pile of clothes to try on only to realize that I can't see if any of it will fit!! I won't buy anything here without being able to try it on even if they have a new 7 day exhange policy. I'm supposed to get some things, go home try them on, and then return and do it again until I find something that fits? I go here regularly and try to buy most of my clothes second hand because the quality is better and it's good for the environment. I still have the option to shop at other places where I can get things new, but many people don't. Please reverse this decision as it will negatively affect a lot of people who need access to reasonably priced clothes. How is a mom supposed to deal with this while working full time? Or an elder person with issues getting to the store frequently? I've donated a lot over the years. This isn't in the spirit of giving and making things affordable and accessible. Please change course. I saw tons of people picking up clothes and then putting them back because they couldn't check if it fit. read more

Hello i recently came in yesterday for the doorbuster sale around 1030 am for the manager to greet me saying i am not aloud to shop. This is due to the fact i took a video recording him after he was caught multiple times selling goodwill overstock from target as well as shoes and ither items that were from donations. Good place to browse for goodies and clothes. But sizes are kind of all over the place, smalls mixed with XL and everywhere in between. Some printed tags were also mislabeled from the clothing tag. One of the changing rooms was out of order so it meant only 2 were available. It left a long line of people waiting. Nonetheless, got some clothes that look brand new for a great price. Also found a cute Hello Kitty cup but it comes in a set of 2 and I couldn't find the other one. I was almost tempted to buy it. Will come back again. read more

Honestly a thrift store is very much like a treasure hunt and you must have a strategy or you get lost in the sauce. I went twice during the week of Halloween. Everyone was on a mission to find what they needed to create a costume. I went Halloween morning and I was able to find a really cool leather jacket, a maxi plaid skirt, and an oversized jacket that I plan to take to a Christmas cabin trip. What you find is really up to the thrift gods. My advice would be to go there with a set of headphones and an epic playlist to fuel the search. I always come caffeinated with a matcha in hand. Most goodwills don't have restrooms or fitting rooms but this location has both. I haven't ventured to the home section, records, or books but I'll do that next time and report back. Today will be my last visit to this location. This place is a mess, and not a hot one. The racks are completely lacking rhyme or reason, I'm guessing due to the fitting rooms being taken away. Not only are the sizes out of place, there are random types of clothes everywhere. Plus the racks are still overfilled to the point you can't look at anything properly. Don't buy any electronics here. They're priced as if they've been tested and are in good working order, but once you get home and realize it doesn't work you're out of luck. Only after paying do you see that is says "All sales are final" in small print on the receipt. If you're going to sell broken useless junk it should be priced as such or labeled as "untested", "non-working". Or just offer exchanges for things like that... read more

if you use goodwill auctions do not, do not buy any thing from this store. twice i bid & won auctions from this store and never recived my items. there is no way to reach anyone to talk to them or get a tracking number . they just take your $$$$ and i guess reauction them at a later date. read more

This Goodwill is a reliable and convenient place to donate household items, thanks to its extended hours and courteous staff. Robert and Vincent are especially outstanding and help make this a valuable neighborhood resource. It has become my regular neighborhood donation drop-off facility. read more

The staff who works the donation bins in the parking lot are awesome at this location. Shoutout to a gentleman called Robert, who was extremely helpful and kind while accepting my large-ish load of items. I think most people would agree that with used and unclean items from a thrift store that receives it's merchandise free, they would expect to pay no more than 30% of retail. And really that is pushing it for most thrift retailers. This is the pot that you marked OVER retail. It is neither rare nor special. I for one, used to spend thousands of dollars a year in Goodwill stores. I have not bought one item in the last 9 months from any Goodwill. The prices are ridiculous and the quality very very low. There is no point in shopping here anymore when retail is cheaper than used. The merchandise put on the store shelves items that are damaged in some way. So go ahead, keep it up eventually you will lose your entire client base. Like you lost me with your greed. read more

I don't ever leave reviews but I was so excited to go thrift shopping and today I had some greats finds but when I went to the fitting room I asked if they can open one for me bcus it was locked and there was no one in there and the Asian older lady flat out just said no, which I understood for whatever reason bcus I try to be an understanding person and I took 6 items . The fitting room was full of clothes which I didn't not bring in and hangers everywhere And after I was done trying on my items The lady is right outside my door helping someone else out and yelled at me to clean up after myself - while I was holding the items I brought inside It's just rude . Happy New Year! I came right before the end of the year to drop off some donations. As I approached the entrance on El Camino, I noticed there was a small line of cars lining up on the side of the parking lot. Turns out Goodwill set up a bunch of drop off cardboard boxes outside in a line. Cars looped around edge of the lot to drop off donations. It was mostly efficient except for bottleneck waiting in line and for some cars trying to leave. You may also be stuck behind folks with a higher volume of donations and getting them out of bags. Some things to note: * You cannot donate bagged items and have to remove them from the bags to drop off in the appropriate box. They tried to label boxes like clothes, household items, shoes, seasonal items etc. * There are no more paper receipts. Text 313131 with the word "donation" to get your receipt. * Wish they'd put hand sanitizer stations by the boxes. Overall the drop off logistics weren't too hard, you just had to wait a bit. People were able to socially distance. I appreciate that they're still open to accept donations. read more

THANK YOU TO THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE. I live very close to this Goodwill and I frequently donate items here. Last Friday, I had a small bag of clothes to donate, so I quickly drove through and then went about my day. Later that evening, as I went to pack for my cousin's wedding shower, I made the horrifying discovery that I had accidentally donated my bridesmaid's dress for her upcoming wedding. I raced back to the Goodwill as I frantically sifted through the few clothes in the donation bins, I quickly realized my dress was nowhere to be found. Fred, one of the men accepting donations outside, saw me panicking, asked for a description of the dress and took me into the back to search through two huge bins he had just taken inside. Soon enough, the whole warehouse knew the story and people just kept coming to help. Vincent grabbed two bins of clothes off of the already loaded truck, James helped me sort through them, and then Vu led me through the store to see if the dress had already made it to the racks. We spent over an hour sifting through bin after bin of clothing. Of course they all had other work to do, but they let me keep looking and Vu just kept hunting with the most positive attitude. Sure enough, at the bottom of the SEVENTH and final bin of clothing, Vu found my bridesmaid dress. It was the start to a holiday weekend, these guys were slammed with work, and they took a whole hour of the end of their day to help a panicking woman find her bridesmaid dress. I have been cleaning out my house and have made several trips to this Goodwill. Each trip I have been greeted and helped tremendously by a gentleman named Robert Edward. I've frequented this goodwill for years but since moving companies, I haven't been back here until a few days ago and let me tell you - there was an employee I encountered that was beyond rude and incredibly unprofessional. She kept standing by me and snapped, snapped, SNAPPED her gum in my ear. Every time I put something on the "go-back" rack, she'd give me the stink eye. Then she was standing in the middle of the walkway so I nicely asked if I can go past her and she just stared me down and moved AN INCH over. I had to move the other cart instead to go around her. I understand people get tired but not once did I give her attitude. She simply did not want to be there nor for anyone to try on clothes, look at the merchandise or do anything that would cause her to have to do her job. I have no issues with people chewing gum but for the sake of sanity, STOP SNAPPING IT IN YOUR CUSTOMERS EARS! read more

My favorite Goodwill in the world! This place is always clean, well organized, well stocked, had excellent staff, and always produces great finds. Like any thrifting experience you have to dig, but the stuff that the rich folks of Palo Alto get rid of are the things of thrifting dreams! This store also has some great sales occasionally, usually on major holidays. I went to the Fourth of July sale and made out like a bandit! Many locations do not accept furniture but this one does when it has room. Showed up with a coffee table and crew receiving goods informed me didn't have room but could accept it for a small fee to send it elsewhere. I was happy to pay the small fee. This parking lot is a little wonky and can get congested pretty fast. Anyway this Goodwill is not bad. I managed to find some pieces here that I thought were reasonably priced. Some of the prices here were a bit high but for the most part I saw most items were under $10. I found a pair of Paige jeans for $7! They were in great condition. I also found a MADEWELL striped shirt for $5. Normally these go for $30 or so at the store. My interesting find of the moment was a pair of red heels from BOTTEGA VENETA - they had a little bit of scuffing but overall the condition was still pretty good. They priced this at $18. Normally these shoes cost like $600+ since they're a luxury brand. I'm pleased with their selection here and I would come back some time. read more

I recently went here not too long ago, but I've actually used to go here a lot about a decade ago. My ex used to live nearby and I've always been a thrifter. Any who, this location received a major face lift. I like what they did with the space, it's not as separated off as it used to be. The parking lot is still on the small side, minus 1 star. I know they could figure out a way to use the space in the back lot, but they don't. Lots of clothes to pick from. Sometimes new items from Target. Most local Goodwill's sell old Target merchandise. They are totally an organized, and I've never experienced a staff more unprofessional and downright rude with people who are simply trying to donate their items to a good cause. The staff at the Goodwill on Washington Street in Sunnyvale are lovely. I recommend going there if you have any donations to make. read more

This place is great to take your donated items to. I love the organization that they have for the donation service. As for shopping, the home and miscellaneous items are a bit of a mess, but I have found a lot of great items. We live close to this Goodwill, and Shop there a lot. This was a good experience except that an item my husband wanted lacking a price tag. We purchased several comparable items at the same time, but because it didn't have a price tag she wouldn't sell it to us. In the past, the cashier asked and comparable item and that's what you paid. I am using the voice recording option on my phone right now to write this review as I drive off--i.e. I'm so irritated that I'm breaking the law to write this review! I just came here to use the donation center. I am a Goodwill customer and I LOVE to thrift shop (read my reviews). It's the end of the year, so I wanted to make sure that I got all my old clothes and things out of my house so I could get my receipt for my tax deductible donation. I pulled up to the donation site, and I opened my door. Two able-bodied men just looked at me as I proceeded to open my car door and take out huge boxes filled with clothes and shoes. I had to ask, "Where do I put my donations?" Did they speak? Nope. Just pointed to various rolling boxes, bins, and containers. Most of the containers were marked NO SHOES, NO PLATES, NO BLAH BLAH BLAH. I had a variety of things, so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to separate my items or if the employees would separate them. I got my answer. They did nothing. If I only had a couple of things I don't think I would be so mad, but I had two massive boxes and dozens of items times 50! At any rate, don't expect ANY help with your items at the donation drive up! read more
