This is my donation spot for all types of items! They are always friendly, come to my vehicle to get my donations and always offer a donation receipt. Donated items are sold in their Goodwill Shop and proceeds help fund employment and training services for individuals in need. So, you're helping others by donating your spring cleaning items! I've never personally shopped at the adjoining Goodwill store. However, I know designers that shop periodically for items that can be repurposed, college students looking for a deal and inexpensive items wIth plenty more wear and tear! Before Thanksgiving of 2022, I went to Goodwill for help in finding a job. I have a disability and I was hoping that they could help me find work in a different field. I went to the classes they offered several times and I did my best to do what was asked of me but nothing ever came of work. They have jobs of their own on offer and they partner with local companies looking to hire. I have applied for so many positions with only two interviews. I have extensive previous work experience in many fields. I was told that they wanted to give me a Google scholarship for a certification. The lady handling my case said that she just needed to get her boss' approval. Then it all went silent. Never heard back. I went back to the old way of looking for a job myself on Indeed (another waste of time) and forgot about that. One day I saw on Indeed that there were jobs hiring at Goodwill. I was frustrated and ripped off a complaint on their website. Mr McCloud wrote to me and apologized. He offered me a gas voucher to come attend their next job fair (I had gotten to the point that I could not afford to waste gas anymore because of no money) I went and applied for jobs with them and the job partners. Nothing, silence. While I was there, I was told that the lady handling my case had left the organization. (No one called me to say "this is so and so, I'm taking over your case. Do you need help in your job search ?) I asked about the Google IT cert possibilities and was given a name to contact . Director of outreach ministries. I sent her an email. I explained my situation. I got one call from her that I missed. I called her back four times, leaving messages on two calls. I never got a response. I would not be so mad and feel abandoned if it weren't for the fact that their mission is supposed to help people like me with barriers to employment. I never asked for this disability to happen and when I reached out for help. I got a fifteen dollar gas card. Nothing more. There is now a new store nearby. Retail store, donation center, and Job Connection is located at 115 West Grand Central Blvd. The store has a great selection, it's clean, the workers are nice, and shopping for a good cause, too! read more

The old store has been closed and larger newer store built just off Pooler Parkway. Store is clean, bathrooms are tended to, and clothing is well organized. Store has a few pieces of furniture, one row for toys, a long row along the back wall for electronics and an assortment of glassware, knick knacks, picture frames, shoes, purses, etc . Starting this year they have a nice Halloween section with mostly new costumes and accessories. They also host, once a month I believe, a low cost pet vaccination clinic. Staff members have always been very pleasant and helpful towards me. My only negative comments is that the prices of hard goods (everything except clothes) has increased in price. I've noticed this at all local Goodwills. Other than that , this is a very nice Goodwill. read more

This staff is amazing! I was passing through town and left my wallet there 5 mins before closing! Drove halfway to Macon before I realized it and no one was there by the time I got back. Called the next morning and they answered before closing and had my wallet safe and sound!! I had my passport, military id, and everything in there and THEY STILL HAD IT!!! Good hearted people. Average thrift store environment- clothes are arranged by color, not size. Housewares are in disarray. A woman's pair of shoes was $14.99 which is the same price I could get them for a TJ Maxx down the road. Parking lot was clean as were general store areas and the one employee and I saw seemed polite. Not a bad visit just average. read more

My most recent visit to this store almost made me sick because there was a strong odor of pee throughout the store. Also, their organization looks like it is getting worst. read more
