Levy Jewelers or Levy's as called by the locals in Savannah has been a mainstay since I was born and they have have established themselves long before I was born. It would be understandable that they were my first stop in shopping for the perfect gift. Well, last Saturday I decided to pay them a visit. When I walked into the store there were three salespeople standing by chatting to each other which was fine because I was the only one who had walked into the store and no other customers were there at that time. Two of the salespeople saw me, but did not acknowledge me; however, the third person, David immediately greeted me and disconnected himself from the group to warmly welcome me. As I gazed into a few cases, I could see David positioning himself to grab keys while he exchanged some light banter with me. All of this was something that I really appreciated. As he took out a few pieces from the case, I felt as if David had the patience and attention of someone who truly cared about me and my business despite whether or not he knew or believed that I could either afford or would buy anything in that store. This would probably seem like a strange concept for some people; however, I have experienced treatment like that in more times than I care to explain. Yet, David was gracious. I told him that I wanted to check a couple of places before I made my decision. David did not seem annoyed nor did he give me any indication that made me feel as if I had wasted his time. He gave me his card and thanked me for coming to visit. After comparing the quality and price of one other place, I called David to ask him if that piece of jewelry was still available. I asked him to pull them aside and yesterday I returned to make that purchase. Ironically, the other two sales people who were in the store during my first visit was there to witness me paying for the items they probably thought I never would. If ever you are in the market to buy jewelry, go see David at the mall location. read more

Biggest rip off in the Savannah community. They gave me a price over $300 for a battery on a fancy watch I got done at Anderson jewelers for $40 I'm amazed that people don't check them out before they use them. I wouldn't send my worst friend to them. read more

Levy Jewelers is a long time, tried and true Savannah jeweler. Through the years I've purchased lovely gifts here, had jewelry repairs made and my engagement ring was purchased at Levy's! Today, I stopped by to look at their John Hardy collection. I love made-by-hand John Hardy jewelry! The low inventory and not very helpful salesman had me in and out in a snap. I understand the low inventory. The salesman could have offered ordering the piece I was asking about/checking the downtown flagship location for the product/allowing me to look at want was available, but no customer service offered. read more

I went there with my finance to look for a wedding band, at first everything was going relatively fine and the saleswoman was asking my finance what she was looking for. She then asked her "well, what do you know about diamonds" and she replied "well not much, but I know I don't mind if it's lab grown or natural". The saleswoman then responded that under no circumstances should we want a lab grown diamond because they are not valuable and proceeded to become VERY passive aggressive on the matter. She told us "that if times get ouch and you have to pawn it, a lab grown diamond will be worthless" and how "you wouldn't want to put your natural engagement diamond next to a lab grown one". When told that my fiance wouldn't sell her engagement ring, saleswoman then responded with how it's never in the plan, and "that's what everyone says until it happens". She wouldn't drop the topic and proceeded to argue for what was about 2-3 minutes. She then talked down to us about how "well if you don't think natural diamonds are in your notice range, we have financing for available. It's like borrowing money from your friends" as she is showing us single point diamonds on a 18k band. After trying to explain financing to us like we are 5 years old, she then turned to me and told me "you know... what your put on her finger is a direct representation of yourself, you know". Wouldn't recommend a jewelry store that argues with their customers trying to spend thousands of dollars on their product and belittling you and trying to, what effectively seems like guilt tripping, into buying what they want you to buy. read more

I came here to get two watch batteries replaced, and Neocia was great! She was very friendly and only took 5-10 minutes.

The saleswoman we spoke to was incredibly disrespectful. My fiancé and I wanted to get a setting for a lab grown diamond. They then told us they cannot see lab grown diamonds. We were about to walk out and then the saleswoman asks us where we got the diamond. We tell her and then she criticizes us for getting a lab diamond. We told her that we chose to go that route because it's ethical and cheaper. She then proceeds to tell us that lab diamonds will not hold its value. We explained that that isn't necessary for us and she tells us that if we get into a financial bind and need to sell it it won't be valuable. We explained to her that we do not plan to ever sell the ring to which she replies "that's never in the plan". I was so disgusted and offended that she thinks we would buy an ENGAGEMENT ring with the intent of selling it later one day. It was a terrible sales tactic that failed epically and I will not be giving this store any of my business. read more

She took me right to the repairman, who immediately stopped what he was doing and fixed it for me. She said, "What's the charge?" He said, "No charge." She said, "As usual." My fiancé and I purchased a diamond from this store and it had to be set and mounted into a ring. Our sales person said it would be ready on Saturday or Monday and that she would call when it arrived back at the store so we could pick it up. We were so excited when we left the store. Of course, we were hoping to get a call on Saturday but it did not come. Monday by 2:30 PM I called her. She said the truck did not come yet. I called her at 5 PM and was told she went home and that the truck had come at noon. I asked to talk to the manager. He was with a customer but called me back promptly. His name is Brad and I could tell right away that he was customer focused. I explained what happened and he told me the truck does not arrive at the same time every day for security reasons but he would check on my ring and call me tomorrow. He called me the next morning to say he had my ring and that it was gorgeous. We talked at length and he made me feel valued as a customer. He also followed up with me a week later to make sure I was happy with the ring. I really think Brad has a fine future. Treat people the way you want to be treated and do what you say you are going to do. BTW, my ring is gorgeous and I am very happy. read more
