This was one of the funnest thrift stores I had ever visited. My friend wanted to bring me here,…read moreexpressing how much she liked this place. I can now understand why. When we entered we were greeted by Marjorie. She asked if this was our first time in. I mentioned it was my first time. Marjorie went on what they were all about and how there specials worked. Specific days had specific color and shapes for certain deals. The day of our visit, anything with blue or green or with square or rectangles were 50% off! I bought some items and when I went to the counter to pay the clerk gave me the price I said aloud really? I expected it to be more because the apron I purchased for my granddaughter was pink. She said it is but the shape of the pocket is rectangle! So they try hard to find anything that will help you save even more on your purchases! This store is a pretty good size. It is well organized and sectioned off in themes. You can find furniture, wedding dresses, jewelry, books etc.. The staff is very friendly and makes sure to let you know they are there if needed. This place is a nonprofit organization that reaches out to widows, widowers and kids. They hold meal events for this specific groups. What a wonderful mission/cause to support. I bought a few things and managed to squeeze it into my luggage. Wish I could have room for a couple of furniture items. Anyway I really love this place and what their purpose stands for. If ever visiting my friend in this area again, I will be back!

During my last visit, I found the employees less than helpful. Typically what I expect when I visit a Salvation Army store is good hearted vibes, not "I want to rip you off and take all of your money" vibes. I'm referring to a picture I took to the counter which had 3 different prices on it... Of course, the woman behind the counter didn't give me a second to talk and say "Hey, this picture is a little scratched up... Could it possibly be sold for the lower price point?" She immediately gave me the highest price. I get it's not a store to be trying to lowball people, but it's a thrift store for crying out loud- you probably aren't going to sell that picture for that price anyways, and the only reason why I picked it up is because I was going to "renew" it myself. It wasn't worth the price in the condition it was in, so I told her never mind. Walking around the actual store, everything just seemed so old. Some of the antiques were pretty cool, but other things- were actually insanely old and should have just been thrown in the dumpster. Broken frames and furniture, clothing with pet hair etc. To top it all off, most of the prices are ridiculous. $30 for a USED lamp?! The only thing that helps the case is that they have a color of the week which designates certain items half off. Still, a used lamp for $15 isn't worth it when I can buy a brand new one at Ross or somewhere for $9.99. It's a hit or miss here I suppose, I will stop back by to see every now and then. I did find one thing worth the money and it was a small porcelain dish for 50 cents (half off/blue sticker.) That's it though.
