The absolute worst location you could go to. I have been a faithful Goodwill customer for YEARS, but I was an avid clothing purchaser, and never once have I had such an awful experience. Purchased a couch (06/25) and they did NOT inform me of any time limit to pick it up, not even when I talked to the Store Manager. I needed family's help (who live an hour away from me) and they couldn't come a few days later like I planned, so I came back a week later from the purchase date (today 7/02) with my family to find that they resold my couch without attempting to contact me at all. The store manager, David, told me he "tried calling" but that I don't have voicemail. I have my phone on me RELIGIOUSLY, I wake up to the vibration of a phone call alone. I looked back at my call log and I have NO missed calls since June 25th, apart from my grandma who called me today and *left a voicemail* so clearly the issue was not on my end and I don't appreciate the falsities, lack of communication or knowledge of store policy. Literally go to any other location and you'll have better service and employees that actually know company policy. Been shopping here since they open but in the last year this store has went crazy on their prices, tee shirts last year was a couple of dollars found one today had a cross on it from a local church took to register and was 5.17 dollars told her to put back way too high for a tee shirt. read more

it's a bit over priced but sometimes you can find a treasure. the high prices hurt the experience

I like Goodwill and other thrift stores, but the Goodwill Outlet has people who take a cart and fill it with their things, then stand or sit around and wait for bins to they can buy more. I understand that many people buy there for resale, but it is hard for people who want to buy things, but have to hover like vultures around the cash register to get a cart when there are between 10 and 20 sitting with stuff in them. Maybe more carts is the answer? read more

Attention : I absolutely love the Goodwill outlet in Newton but I'm sick and tired of them letting the same old people hangout there all day, hoard buggies push people out of the way and it's always the same woman. She pushes you out of her way and has a bunch of people to shop with her and they literally grab stuff out of your hands she has 8 to ten buggies and then doesn't even buy half of what she tosses In buggies. Something needs to be said or done she gets away with this all the time. If you can't shop and not be greedy then don't shop. No one needs ten buggies full of clothes. It's just rude and greedy. This store recently opened up next to the "Goodwill Outlet," and I had the opportunity to pay a visit for the first time just the other day. I must say, I was pretty shocked to see how clean and organized this store is. We were able to snag up a lot of awesome clothes and baby toys for super cheap. They had a fairly large selection of items, especially for how new the store is. All of the clothes are organized by size instead of color, like some Goodwill's I've seen. I've unfortunately only seen sizes Small through XL in women's, (no plus sizes.) Most items are reasonably priced, with an exception to a few "brand new items" and "brand name" items. read more

Wayyyyyy overpriced items!!!!! Goodwill has became so greedy especially during COVID. To make you feel better, look up how much the CEO makes a year and remember everything in Goodwill has been donated. That said, let me tell you some of the items I found. - Skilsaw with rust all over it......$50.00....hahah...what??? - Bear Bow (children sized). That had a broken string....$80.00.......Insane. - Hoover Robot vacuum, no charging dock which you have to have......$45.00....hahaha. - DVD player with no remote, which you have to have to navigate the screen...$12.00.....stupid. There was so much more ridiculous pricing I don't have time to list. I recommend not going here until they stop taking advantage of people during COVID. I will not be going back here. read more

Overpriced and nothing but clothes and they dump everything in the bin. Watch so you don't get cut on broken glass and knife if they do have hard goods or electronics. People running it don't care. Need to get better people to run it. It used to be a good place to shop and they only have two or 3 that I guess they make them work hard while the other walk around read more

It was my first time and I wanted to check it out. Definitely a good price per lbs. However, the clothes that were on the bins had so much dust and pet hair, it didn't have much good items. I definitely will not return to this store. read more

This place has always just been okay. Would recommend gloves if you get grossed out easily because i've found some interesting things in there. Sometimes the bins will come out some sopping wet clothing. Never really found anything worthwhile here, good for scraps if you're looking for that. read more

Ok, school is about to start. My kids wanted to come see if they could find some good deals at this Goodwill before we went to the mall. It's covid time, so there's no dressing rooms open. Ok, fine. They both found things they like, but when we got home some of it didn't fit. When I went to return them, two ladies stood there looking at my receipt and comparing the items I brought. And they said these items were not on the receipt. And one of these women rang these clothes up! I told her I remember them griping about how someone didn't tag them right, so she rang them up a different way. And one of the children's shorts were rang up as women's shorts, essentially meaning I paid double what I should have. They looked at me and she kept saying that she would never do that, that these clothes weren't on the receipt. That was the only time I've been there, those were the clothes, and it's not my fault if she didn't ring them properly. They then said they would give me store credit on the actual price of the items, which was half what I paid! Half what she charged me just days prior! I left without further arguing because at the end of the day we're talking about 10$ and my sanity is worth more than that. But attacking a customer is bullshit! Telling me you would never do something my children and I watched you do is crazy! And then telling me I can only get back half of what I spent is insane! The lady responsible didn't wanna get in trouble with the manager who was standing next to her this time. I won't be bringing my donations here anymore, nor shopping there ever again.
