It's supposed to be closed for "repairs" but it's been at least a year. Recently while calling to inquire about their reopening I was told that a new, temporary location has opened in Mt Joy to make up for and accept the donations that would otherwise go to Etown. Since opening 3 weeks ago I've been here twice. I hope this store ends up becoming permanent as it's closer to my house and has a better layout and parking. While it is a smaller Goodwill store as far as square footage it does have all the normal departments just on a smaller scale. Housewares are still arranged by color, with clear glass being dominant. Clothes are sorted by size and item (size organization is much better here than other locations too!). Prices are in line with other Lancaster Co Goodwill locations. Shoes are piled on top of clothing racks due to space limitations and there isn't a place to sit and try them on. I did find a small end table for sale under the linens that I pulled out as a seat, so hopefully it'll stay there for a while. There is no dressing rooms. Aside from that small end table they don't carry furniture. Pictures and frames are tucked under the racks and housed in large plastic bins, as are children's shoes. Over all the store has much less selection than other locations but the sorting is pretty solid. I didn't spend a lot of time looking at clothes knowing I couldn't try them on but didn't see any with flaws. They have yarn in baskets at the one end cap, as well as cards. They do tend to throw things in baskets that either sit on a shelf, floor, or end cap so do look thru those. They still have Christmas decorations for sale, in fact an entire isle of them. I didn't see any signs saying they were discounted, and currently the only loyalty promotion is the military discount. The children's department is very small, as is linens. The majority of the store consists of men's and ladies fashion. They do cute décor displays on the end caps facing the window, but the ones by the wall are pretty much a mess. No hand sanitizer is offered, nor is cart wipes, but overall the store is cleaner than most, employees are masked and a Plexiglas shield is present. Every employee I've encountered has always been friendly and helpful. A win for me because it's so close, I do hope this location stays. A step back in time to the 80s-Now! You'd be hard pressed to not find something from your childhood here. Everything from early Nintendo NES, My Little Pony, Transformers, Barbie, Star Wars, WWE, Ninja Turtles, various anime and an over abundance of stuffed animals! There's a pacman mini arcade cabinet to play, a few claw machines and floor to ceiling toys. Everything we saw was in good to mint condition, and the owners/staff were more than happy to answer any questions we had. Prices seemed on point for the items condition/rarity so it didn't feel like anything was over valued. Owners are also heavily involved in second Friday downtown in Etown and you can tell they care a lot about the community. Follow their facebook page for the events they plan with local businesses. They frequently have discounts and free toy days on select days for kids. Only complaint again is their hours are kinda all over and change weekly/monthly so facebook is your best bet to see when they're open. Parking is available on the street via meters and in some metered lots around the area. (Typically a nickel for 1/2 hour, dime for an hour) Tons of local shops near by to so its a great afternoon adventure supporting local businesses. Solid 4.5-4.7 so I rounded up to a 5.

The store lives up to its name in that offerings are more on display vs resembling a garage or yard sale manner--more organized with space surrounding the houseware items. Clothes are neatly hung appear clean. I especially like viewing the donated China sets , gardening supplies and seasonal figurines. The prices range from reasonable to real bargains. Music adds to the relaxing browsing experience. Overall one of my favorite thrift stores!

Like you have to be aware of just how crazy you're being. Unless you've let the job bleed you dry of your baseline humanity to the point of utter apathy. Your pricing on certain items is absolutely insane! Like you're truly just out of your mind and should probably be heavily medicated. Out here acting like it's a premium antique store in the richest of neighborhoods instead of the THRIFT store that it's supposed to be. $150 for some glass coasters. $250 for an old stove. $500 for a Barbie house!?! These are all USED items that are GIVEN to you, a THRIFT store for FREE! And I understand there are operating costs of running the stores, but there's also a line that you're clearly way too comfortable crossing when it comes to the prices you put in front of every day thrift shoppers. During my visit I heard literally five customers make a remark about the insane prices you're slapping people in the face with. Read the damn room! Send this on up to your corporate masters if you truly don't have any control over your businesses pricing strategy because whether it's you or some higher managment forcing this twisted policy on the public, there's at least one ABSOLUTE PSYCHOPATH working for the Salvation Army and y'all need to know how it's making you look to the people you're supposedly in business to "help".

Had a small but impressive selection of authentic clothes from the 60's, 70's, snd 80's. Weakness: shoes, expensive and many were less than pristine condition.
