This INCOMPETENT MILLVILLE, NJ Goodwill has a terrible habit of using the wrong kind of tape on everything. It's slapped across glassware, wood, plastic, even fabric -- and it ruins the products. The clear PACKING tape leaves residue, rips finishes and makes it impossible to carefully remove without damaging what you bought. On top of that, they're charging full retail (sometimes OVER RETAIL) prices for USED items that are already compromised by this over-zealous taping. Instead of helping people find affordable secondhand goods, they're destroying donations and overpricing them. Completely defeats the purpose of thrifting. I made every attempt to CAREFULLY remove their incorrect tape. See attached photos of $16.00 now-worthless, damaged Goodwill products. This store has hidden treasures. You just have to spend the time looking. You'll be amazed at what you'll find. I found a brand new down comforter that sells for $400. I paid $12 I think. It's been a long time since so I can't remember the exact price. But something like that. Keep your secrets to yourself. They just lowered their prices too I saw it on the website just now. My wife likes to come here once and while and look around, the first feel you get is an old run down dept store, it doesn't feel or look very clean and is very dark and dreary . I've never found a gems here but I guess that's not the purpose, or at least never was suppose to be. It seems it's gone from its early days as a place for people that needed help to buy inexpensive items or clothes that people didn't want anymore, to a parking lot littered with newer cars , BMWs and Mercedes Benz. I feel it's purpose has be lost I guess but maybe that's just me. As far as pricing you can get some things dirt cheap but some things like furniture surprise me with the prices. Over priced . seems they put a lot of junk and chipped up things and stained clothes out . What you get for free and over charge is sad . there are people that are out there struggling and really need a way lower price then what you are charging them . I feed for the parents trying to find clothes for there children so school and seeing stained up and high prices . Even someone just starting out and needing household things and really 5 dollars for a coffee cup !!!! again over priced and not a place for people looking for help to spend there money .. This Goodwill is very hit or miss. The clothing racks can be super full or very empty depending on the size of the items your are looking at. Jeans/pants always seem to be jam packed. The dress area is always jam packed and usually disorganized; I always have a hard time trying to look. The shoe selection is meh as well. I like that they do discount colors for the week like the other NJ good wills. They pick 2 colors and everything with that color tag is 1/2 off that week (On Sunday's, that item would be a $1.) occasionally I find something here, but for the most part I strike out. read more

I used to love Goodwill, but over the years Goodwill has gotten kinda... full of itself. Like, when they get something that's so ugly that it's cool, they're saavy enough to know it and charge for it now. They've taken all the fun out of thrifting. And they're snobby enough to throw away THOUSANDS of pounds of damaged and stained clothing (I've watched them do it). Umm... hello??? But some of that stuff is salvageable with elbow grease or creative sewing. A lot of items they used to take they won't even accept anymore. I've given up donating to them because it bums me out thinking how much good stuff they trash. I also get pissed that they charge as much for their USED clothes that I could go buy NEW stuff on sale at the local discount stores. What's with that? Still a good place to shop, but don't look for a deal. read more

This goodwill has horrible customer service. You will not find a friendly smile in here, or even a "how are you, how can I help you". I did find a couple good deals, but was disappointed in the overall atmosphere of this store. Is it to much to ask to at least pretend to like people? If you don't like working with the public, then you should find a job somewhere that you are hidden away, where no one will see your sob face. read more

Okay, I know it's all used stuff in here. Back when it was around the corner, I donated some stuff to them. I've been in here a couple times trying to get some inspiration for Halloween costumes. I struck out each time. There are lots of clothes, but I guess I am too picky for them. Their other things are not priced for my wallet, so no deals for me. It's a thrift shop, not retail. COMPLETE DUMP!!! Overpriced, unorganized, clothing items not organized by size or color. Not so unusual to find mens items mixed with womens and vice-versa. Employees are ususally crappy but the good ones are unfortunately far and few between. When i had a $10 gift certificate and I paid 9 something, they wouldn't even give me back the change, those dishonest scoundrels!!!! good deals are almost non-existent so the store defeats its own purpose. Goodwill is such a joke and they do throw away perfectly good donations, so donors BEWARE!! BTW, just about ALL goodwills I've seen are the same way. read more

I have had better experiences at Goodwill than this last trip. I thought the prices were higher than I remembered. I take a trip to Delsea Drive to shopThrift Shops.There are over 5 shops I can make in one afternoon. I bought something at every one except Goodwill. They have a lot of merchandise, but between the cost, the disorganization, and the fact that is was the end of the day I was just not thrilled with the store. I will keep trying. read more

So first off, they should look at the items before they put them out. I picked up a clip and this grease or something was on the bottom and it smeared all over my hand and when I went to wash my hands in the bathroom, I couldn't even go an inch in because it smelled so bad. Then when I went to wash my hands, there was not any soap. I looked all around the room. I could not find any. I mean that's just common sense. But the clerks are very nice and helpful and the store is fairly clean. I hope this rating will help you. read more

Decided to check out this goodwill after passing it a gazillion times on the way to motorsports. It is HUGE & clean. The staff was very friendly &constantly organizing. The items are all just "ordinary". There is nothing special about this place. If you want ordinary clothing they have tons of that & I find the clothing slightly pricey. You can't charge the same price for a skirt that looks new & one very worn. After 1.5 hrs of shopping I walked out with 2 summer dresses, 2 vintage jean skirts and 6 glassware items. Great selection of jeans, but none of 10 in my cart fit. Would be great if they organized by size. No vintage here. Housewares was awful. separates 4.99, dresses 8.99. I'd definitely go back to browse if I needed to kill time while hubs is at the track. Nothing else to do in this town! read more

Not my favorite. Very large store , but no organization. I bought a jacket and the back of the sleeve seam was torn. Granted I shop thrift all the time and I know you have to check your merchandise, but I still was upset. Also the prices are high for thrift. No great deals here. read more
