I'm really frustrated with how clothing is being priced and tagged here. Whoever is tagging the clothes is often not putting the price tag directly into the seam. When I remove the tag at home, it creates a hole that slowly gets bigger over time, completely ruining the garment. This has happened multiple times. It's not every single item, but it's most of them. It almost feels like there may be one person tagging correctly, but it doesn't really matter because so many other items are tagged in random places that damage the fabric. This is especially disappointing when buying clothes that are otherwise in good condition. For a thrift store, clothing damage caused during pricing should not be an issue. I hope this gets addressed, because it's making me hesitant to shop here anymore. read more

First time coming here while I was checking out stores in the Oswego area. Me and my wife love going to various thrift stores. This place did lack alot of men's clothing selection as well as home good finds. Staff was trying to rush everyone out of the building even when it was 30 minutes to close which is a tough thing to do when the store was packed. Various items were overpriced and only members got sort of decent discounts. Not a well organized store from my visit. Smaller than most stores selection wise. read more

!!!BUYER BEWARE!!! This store is very dishonest and is severly mismanaged! I purchased an electronic item, thinking I got a sweet deal on something I really needed, it wasnt until I got home and opened it, that I realized it was missing a key componant in order to function, which meant it was useless. I went to return it, and the Manager, April C., told me they do not allow any returns at all, no matter what. I was so furious. I returned the nonfunctioning item, only to be told that I lost $7. I desided to have a look around and couldn't believe what I saw. Dirty, filthy dishes, open batteries, (some leaking acid) and countless wireless devices that are incomplete, visibly broken, and baby toys covered in old food, and some smelled like sour milk. I was so disturbed by this that I filed a complaint against them with the BBB. So to some it up. They have been putting out defective, and unclean items, with a zero return policy. That makes it a very dishonest business in my opinion. If you choose to shop here, be very mindful of what you are buying, because once you give them your money, you aren't getting it back. read more

As a previous management employee of the company I was shocked when I went to drop off donations and no one came out! I am absolutely aware that the employees could be running furniture, helping load a customer or on a forklift but there should be management in the back or someone else trained to grab the donations. I ended up unloading my own items, never got a receipt and when I called to talk to a manager he seemed to rather not be bothered with my comments. I will not visit this location to drop off donations, I would rather support the yorkville location! Thank you for supporting the Goodwill Mission! read more

I'm going to make a statement here regarding all the media about how Goodwill doesn't help anyone... The story never mentions that THEY HELP EVERYONE THAT SHOPS THERE!!!! Frankly, I don't care what they do with the $2.68 I just paid for my designer jeans, they help ME and my FAMILY! Ok, no more politics.... This place is always clean, does not smell bad like S.A. and has a nice selection. The staff are always polite and they have good product turn over, so I can almost always find something good! All and all I do not ever feel the need to pay full price and I thank anyone who donates and makes my life easier! :-) read more

I actually frequent this spot. I always find something, today I found two tall end tables for $5 bucks each. Very nice for that price and only a minor scratch on one. Cherry wood matches the set I have. My last visit, I found a funky retro belt for $2 to match some shoes I just ordered. Anyway, the prices are great, it's close to some big name stores if you wanna stop in and check them out. Very well organized and clean. read more

I have been in here a few times and it is usually orderly and neat. There haven't been too busy of crowds. I have found some clothes, and vases on previous occasions but I was on a book kick most recently. Their selection of multilingual children's books was impressive. Things were in neat order and the prices are good. I walked away with a stack of books for personal and class use. I'll definitely check in again! read more

Great so now you've increased children's book prices from .89 to just short of $3.00. There goes buying books by schoolteachers for their classrooms. That's ridiculous and you need to drop your prices for schoolteachers who are paying out of their own pocket to help educate young students. Kids books that are donated should not be priced at those ridiculous prices. If elementary school teachers can provide IDs, Goodwill needs to drop their prices back down or go up to no more that $1 which would give you a few cents more than what you have been selling them for and still making money. Yes I'm upset because teachers can not afford to pay those prices when it has to come out of their own pockets. read more

When I first began thrifting, I started at Salvation Army. Looking for some more cleanliness, I headed to Goodwill. And while comparatively speaking, it is cleaner - Saver's is really where it's at. This specific Goodwill is clean with semi-helpful staff (depends on the day) in an offbeat location. Racks are jampacked, and you have to hunt someone down for a fitting room. All in all, it's your standard Goodwill - but it will never match the service at Saver's! read more

This is my go-to location for thrifting. The store is neat and orderly, the staff ranges in age and are pretty friendly. I like to go during the weekday because the weekends are just bananas with shoppers looking for the most bang for the buck! All in all, a great deal can be found here. The selection is good on most days, the parking is good and with the price of everything going up its nice to know Goodwill is around to help families out! read more

I am really torn about leaving this review because I k ow once I do the things I love about this place will no longer be but... There is no better goodwill. The toy, game, and book sections are unbeatable. In the last week I have purchased 60 childrens books in new or like new condition for less than $40. These books are popular titles and classics including: Alexander and the terrible, no good, very bad day, several Matilda, Amelia Badelia, the Little engine that could, and Clifford the big red dog titles all for $.59 a book. In Los Angeles, at the Goodwill stores, you can't even find these great titles and books in far inferior condition sell for $2.99 a book! I also purchase several like new toys and games for $1.99 a piece including a Fischer Price little people school bus in excellent working condition that is still on retail shelves for $24.98. I love this place. If I lived in the area I would start here first if I ever needed anything. read more
