More than makes up for the higher prices - not exorbitant prices mind you, think along the lines of name brand jeans for $16-$20 - with the selection alone. I love Goodwill, I go all the time, but that's because I have the time to go multiple times a week to sort through each and every single row of clothes for the 2-3 gems. Joys of unemployment! Almost every time I go here, I find something I love, only once I didn't (and even at that - found something for my sister). The clerk who's usually there (name has slipped my mind sadly) has also worked in resale of clothing for a while and is very knowledgeable about fashion trends! They won't BS you, either, I said every time I come in I'm looking for turtlenecks on the more masculine size and they straight up told me it's very unlikely I'll find a lot of those because guys don't really wear turtlenecks. I still look because I can pull off women's turtlenecks, but I loved the honesty. Tells me I can ask if something might look ugly on me and I will get an honest answer, which means I can shop alone! My friend and I had been sending watches here for years. The service and quality of work had always…read morebeen very good. Recently, the number of watches that had to be returned for what appeared to be quality control issues had gone up. Frustrating to say the least. Most recently, I had a vintage Heuer chronograph serviced by Adam. After the several month turn around time, I wore the watch for several weeks with no issues observed (besides lume that was damaged during the service which I was notified about). I put the Heuer back in my watch box where it sat for months. When I took it out to use is again, the watch would run for a while and stop. Also, the chronograph hands weren't resetting correctly. I sent it back in (under the one year warranty) and Adam indicated he made some adjustments. I got it back after several weeks and it was doing the exact same thing. As I was trying to decide whether to send it back again (as we had already had numerous watches returned and were frustrated with the quality of work) the service warranty lapsed. With the watch a month out of warranty, Kokomo refused to look at watch again. Let's not forget it was having the same issue (and obviously was not fixed) as the last time it was sent in. Needless to say, I would not recommend them. If the watch means anything to you, I recommend finding another watchmaker.
