My friend and I had been sending watches here for years. The service and quality of work had always been very good. Recently, the number of watches that had to be returned for what appeared to be quality control issues had gone up. Frustrating to say the least. Most recently, I had a vintage Heuer chronograph serviced by Adam. After the several month turn around time, I wore the watch for several weeks with no issues observed (besides lume that was damaged during the service which I was notified about). I put the Heuer back in my watch box where it sat for months. When I took it out to use is again, the watch would run for a while and stop. Also, the chronograph hands weren't resetting correctly. I sent it back in (under the one year warranty) and Adam indicated he made some adjustments. I got it back after several weeks and it was doing the exact same thing. As I was trying to decide whether to send it back again (as we had already had numerous watches returned and were frustrated with the quality of work) the service warranty lapsed. With the watch a month out of warranty, Kokomo refused to look at watch again. Let's not forget it was having the same issue (and obviously was not fixed) as the last time it was sent in. Needless to say, I would not recommend them. If the watch means anything to you, I recommend finding another watchmaker. read more

I went in to have a new battery installed in my husband's watch. While there I saw a sign about eye glasses repair. My husband's glasses were broken at the ear piece and the doctor's office said they couldn't fix it. Palmers was able to fix them. While there I found some cute Doxie earrings and cat earrings made in Indiana. We've had great past experiences here as well. read more

Fantastic jewelry store. Jess took the bare information I was able to give her about my girlfriend's taste in rings and sold me a ring which she said yes too. The ring was custom ordered and beautiful, for an affordable price. All this occurred through emails and phone calls as well! Locally owned jewelry store that has amazing service, great pricing for repairs, and carries highend jewelry as well. Resently my wife and I had to have our rings resized and they are platinum which cost more to do. They charge was only $40 and my wife had her other platinum rings polished and the charge was only $20. If they were gold or silver the price would have been even cheaper. While waiting for our rings I looked around the store and browsed the Rolex and Citizens watches for the sum of WOW! So whether you are looking for a good deal or are ready to slap down the big bucks this place is for you. The service is great also! read more

They were able to replace the swiss mechanical movement and repolish this watch to its original condition. I was very satisfied with the level of customer service and prompt turn around on work done. They take such good care of their customers and do not push you out of your financial comfort zone, but rather work with you to give you the best piece for your budget. This establishment did not provide satisfactory service: I sent my watch carefully boxed in all its original packaging for its protection. When I received my watch back, it was in a bublewrap bag, inside a small box not nearly as well protected as it would have been in its original box. ALSO, and more aggravating, its bracelet was reversed. I contacted customer service to complain about both issues. The reply was that they were going to send me my original box (I haven't seen it yet), and they said "I apologize for having the band on backwards. I always install the band as the factory would, and some customers have it reversed, which sounds like that is the case. You can take it to a local jeweler to have it reversed if you would like." the implication being that I don't know which way the band is supposed to go. I had to go to a local jewelry shop, at my expense, to get the bracelet put on the correct way. I expect far better service if someone is changing my watch's battery and charging me $50 for it. I recently mailed in a Victorinox watch to Palmer's for repair and service. They always answer the phone and are extremely responsive to e-mails. The service was done quickly, on budget, and the watch returned back sooner than promised. The result ? All I can say is Wow ! The watch is running perfectly and Palmer's did an excellent job of adding a high-polish to the worn case. My Victorinox Maverick looks like a completely different new timepiece...and the price was roughly 1/4 of what it would have been to buy a new watch. Thank you ! read more

I mailed my husband's Rolex to these people for cleaning because their repairman had been highly recommended. A week later the package came back marked "Refused". I phoned, spoke with a woman named Kelly, and her comment as to why the package was returned was, "We chose not to work on the watch." I asked if they had looked at the watch; she said they had not. She absolutely refused to elaborate on her comment, and in retrospect, I'm glad they returned the watch because I would not want anyone so unprofessional doing work for me. I had a great experience at Palmer's. Nice and not snooty. They are attentive and that's my number one criteria. I loved their glass pieces in the display cases-so pretty! Even though there is construction on that corner in town, it wasn't hard to get to a parking space.
