Convenient to drop off used items but will not accept the rug that meets guidelines. My used rug is 5x7 and they said it has to be new because of sanitary what's the point of having a guideline if you can't accept it. Just say no rugs period.

Went looking for glassware yesterday, and they had HEAPS of Christmas platters/bowls/serving dishes. Would be a great spot to pick-up fancy plates to bring or gift at your holiday functions! Plenty of other Christmas decor, too - including some adorable Black Santa and Nutcracker figures. Go check them out; you never know what kind of gems you'll find here.

I got to this place a lot to donate stuff, such as clothes and books. They're usually pretty quick with taking in donated items. This goodwill location has a lot of puzzles and board games. They are usually in perfect condition. Sometimes there are games and puzzles that were never opened, like the "That's so Raven" puzzle I found there. I found an American Girl Molly board game there in great condition too. The book selection is smaller than the book selection at the Goodwill on Elk Grove Blvd. This location still have a decent selection of books. I found a cool Dinosaur encyclopedia book for the kids at work. It was only $3 and in perfect condition. Another book I was happy to find was the Freedom Writers books for only $2 and in good condition. Online the book is $30.

This store has progressively gone downhill over the years. Today's visit surprised me more than when I came here last year. The store was crowded but a complete mess. There were items that are worth $4 in Walmart being sold for $8.99 in here. Then there were items marked at full price when the full product wasn't even in the packaged. Not sure who figures the pricing at this location but they should really get someone else to do it. Then along with the overstuffed shelves, items on the floor in all aisles (even clothing) it just seemed that the workers didn't care. It was sad. I spent about 15 minutes in the store and left empty handed because the mess was just so frustrating.

Been a fan of Goodwill ever since I found out how much they sell their books for. It surprises me when I find a book that doesn't seem to have any creases on the binding! I feel like I hit the jack pot. The prices of the books at this store are the same as the Goodwill I use to go to in WA , so there's no surprise there. Children hardbacks are $1.49, children paperbacks are $.99, adult hardbacks are $2.49, and adult paperbacks are $1.49. Sometimes I'll stumble upon some children's books that are $.69, but it's rare. Parking is not an issue here. Being that this Goodwill is fairly new, there's not that many people that browse around the store. That's probably a good thing for now. But I'm sure when it gets busy, it'll be hard to navigate the aisles. When you enter the store, you're immediately greeted by customer service associates. It's great to feel welcomed! It's very well organized, everything is in its own section, and has their own label. I really haven't bought much at Goodwill besides books. But when I have the time and patience to rummage through things, I'll definitely start here. :)

Terrible place to work and shop. Bathrooms are filthy and NEVER cleaned. I know, I worked there and it was my job which I never had time to do due to being way over worked. Unsafe work environment, warehouse is extremely over crowded and the warehouse person is expected to move all types of merchandise un assisted. A friend of mine hurt his back doing this and they made him jump through hoops to attempt to get compensation. As far as pay goes, they cut hours constantly and dont care if their employees lives suffer. They hire any warm bodies they can find because their mission is "providing jobs" management is always changing and nobody is on the same page resulting in a disorganized and disgusting shopping and work environment(just look at the floors and ull see the laziness start as you near the back of the store.) When managment and corprate make a mistake they make it the responsibility of the employee to fix it. For instance, pay discrepancies or errors are just expected to be forgiven and the employee can just "wait 5 extra days" to get Fridays check next wednesday. I also saw the manager schedule someone and when the dude came to work the manager sent him home because they "didn't need him" despite his 15 mile commute. Also, the amount of GOOD donation items that get thrown away is appalling. I went back to make a donation after I left there and the dude loading a small night stand broke my car. This place is all around slummy, extremely un-professional and treats their employees and customers like garbage. Check this place out!

I've already professed my preference for Thrift Town, but every now and then I pop into this Goodwill to see what they've got.

When you walk in there is a sign on the door that says if an item doesn't have a tag then you can't buy it. And there is a security guard at the front door. I found lots of good deals. The most expensive item I bought was a winter coat for $17.23. It was in a size small and it fit perfect. It has a mickey mouse motif and mickey ears attached. I found a Las Vegas Raiders jersey, boys XL, which fit me perfect $12.92. It was new with out tags. I also found a SF Giants T Shirt that looked new. I found some other black tops, long and short sleeve. I found the cutest red minnie mouse sweatshirt but it was too short, too back because it was perfect. They also have lots of more expensive items mixed in. Such as Kings and Giants Jerseys. All well over $35. Compared to the teams stores it's still a good deal, but out of my price range for this shopping spree. These items are cheaper at the Goodwill Bootique in downtown Sacramento. I know because I've purchased several jerseys there. Everything is well organized by size and type of merchandise. They have long racks of clothing and a good variety of sizes. They have a rack of short sleeve tops, another rack of long sleeve tops, dresses, formal dresses, jackets, athletic tops, ect. Everything is so well sorted. They have colored tags on the merchandise. Each day they have different sales depending on the color of the tags 25%, 50%, and 75%. I only had a couple of the 25% off items. For those 2 items I saved $5.07. So for 5 items I paid $46.31. On average $9.26 each. Not a bad day Thrifting. Checkout is all self-serve. It's quite odd, but they have a lot of registers and someone helping out. They graciously took my coat and found a tag on it without me asking, which was great because I didn't even see it. I did see it on the Raiders jersey I bought and they removed that after I scanned it in to pay for it. They also have some new merchandise by the entrance of the store, those are not so good deals.

We were slow to assemble them and once done, we realized that we should have purchased a few more. The store we originally bought them from no longer had them, but my husband found them at Heroic. We were able to buy 4 more at Heroic for what 2 would have cost at the original store. We found time to assemble these quickly just in case parts were missing. Three of the four boxes appeared to have never been open (all parts still in original packaging, factory sealed, etc). The fourth appeared to have been partially assembled, customer changed mind, and put back in the box. We were concerned that pieces might be missing, but all parts were inside. If you are heading to Heroic, it helps to know what you are looking for and you need to be observant of what you are buying. Staff was friendly and there was a restroom for customers, which helped since this location is in an industrial area. A tip: my husband was able to find that the shelving was at this Heroic location because they post videos on social media. Just be aware, stock changes frequently so when you see something, go as soon as you can before it's gone.

They have such nice displays in the windows. Lots of fine China. On there door they have a sign that says something about weave. I think they are run by weave and get their hand me downs from them. Or so I was told. I could be wrong so don't quote me. They have a good selection of clothing. The selection is small. It's nothing like the big thrift stores we have been visiting this weekend. Let's say small but mighty. I walked home with 2 pairs of dress pants. Ann Taylor and Talbots. They fit perfectly and under $3 each. I also got a White House Black Market blouse for $1.98. I wasn't in the market for dresses, but they had a lot of nice ones my size.
