The boat was clean and well equipped. Captain Kevin and his first mate gave clear and detailed instructions on how to catch the bait, cast in the right spot, and how to hook up when we got a bite. The first mate did a great job of cleaning and filleting our catch. They were especially patient with my wife, who struggled a bit with casting and hooking up with fish. (she ended up catching more than me and the biggest one that had to be released) Captain Kevin's instincts are spot on! He knew exactly when to move us to a new spot, so we never wasted time on the water. Additionally, Captain Kevin's recommendations for dining and local attractions were greatly appreciated. On our first morning, we headed for Gloucester harbor to take in the rich history the town had to offer. We really wanted to see the iconic Wicked Tuna boats so we ate in harbor and waited but no return. Instead of coming down the next day to get pictures, I decided that we should try and fish this historic area. With only one day to plan a fishing trip and my flight leaving back to Cali at 6:30 was a task within it self. we were at dinner when Captain Kevin had called us back stating that it would not be an issue and he would have us back to the harbor by 2 PM. We left the harbor at 5 AM as captain Kevin in lighted us with a deep history and knowledge that he had to offer. His first mate was Tristan, who had recently passed the captains test, was very knowledgeable and was getting us set up for the perfect day. The captain knew everything in the harbor, and everyone. Whole fishing that day, the Captain constantly stayed on the radio to get up-to-date information. After we caught our bait, we headed to the first spot and dropped our lines in the water. After waiting about an hr or so the captain decided to make an executive decision and move to the second location because of the reports on the radio. Once we arrived at our second location and dropped our lines in the water, we immediately saw whale activity. We were trying to get some food in our belly while we had a little time and then BOOM, FISH ON!!! With the captains instructions from earlier, we were all able to communicate and successfully land this fish. With the help of Tristan by my side, and the captain on the controls, we were able to land this fish in an hour and a half. With 1/3 of the line left from being chaffed, we were able to land this bad boy in the boat. She came in at 87 inches and 461 pounds being my best record of all times. If it wasn't for both of these captains and my tuna fishing experience, we could've easily lost her. Upon returning to the harbor, and dropping her off at the market, I was able to keep some head fillets, and the tail and I was off to the airport. I have fished all around the world and if you want true tuna fishing at its best, GO ON THIS BOAT!!! They have giving us an experience of a lifetime and memories for the rest of our life's. For a low cost, we were able to buy tickets for a 2 hour midafternoon cruise on a large beautiful sailing vessel, a 4 sail schooner. It was easy to find them at Gloucester harbour, parking was a breeze, boarding the boat no problem. The crew was kind and courteous and experienced. We got out of port under engine power, but then the sails came up, with help from all parties who wanted to volunteer. Once they were up, we were off, doing a brisk 14 knots and making turns and changes of course as needed. The cruise was wonderful. You could see everything on the coasts and on the ocean, it was a sunny day, and a sailing breeze greeted us the entire voyage. It was sublime. The voyage finally ended (all too soon) and one of the crew took time to get some merchandise for my wife for our kids. So nice! Very recommended!

Owner pointed out boats, historical spots, points of interest, lively old salt with lots of stories. $10 paid onboard with 3 stops, hop on/hop off all day. What a way to see the harbor, learn some history of the port, brush up on nautical terms, points of interest on shore, and be entertained!! Such a value! Very fun & don't forget to get a picture with Cathy. Captain Patrick was entertaining with stories and landmarks, slowed down so we could see Wicked Tuna taping a show. Talked about fishermen bringing in their catch to the auction, very informative. First mate, Decklin did a poetry reading, very dramatic, well done. Well worth the $10!!
