Ordered the chicken noodle soup. It's creamy based thick noodles and and chunky chicken. I also order there chili. Both soups had no flavor. The chili had more of mushy meat and very bland taste. Well done with Goodwin restaurant '' order two omelets which usually comes to around $24 .I got there to pickup widow and ask to add a coke and coffee .girl come back says come back says $45 .I said that not right .she says she didn't know how to add the drink to the order she say I'm just dish washer. Then another boy come to windows he says $38 .I said no he said I ordered extra meat on the omelets so I paid it got home they had order wrong .I call ask to talk to manager said she would be there till after noon and she call me .wait till 3 o'clock no call so I called back then she finally call me back .when I told her what happen she stated tell me he employees where not wrong and ask I I was saying her waitress of 20 year wrote order down wrong and ask if I thought she was lying. So she saying we didn't know what we ordered so we where the one lying and she was laughing so I went off on her .she didn't take me seriously till then .so there employees can't handle thing when no one watching them and the manager can not handle it when they make a mistake So a customer who been going there for 35 year will lie but waitress wont read more

They advertise they have vegetarian options-only have spaghetti or eggs-not even a grilled cheese sandwich. Their hot vegetables all had bacon in them. The omelette does not come with potatoes. My husbands country fried steak was OK, but nothing spectacular. read more

First time here and had a delicious broasted chicken wings meal. Also came with two sides, I chose side of mashed potato with yellow gravy on the side and creamed peas ( haven't had creamed peas since I was a kid). Also came with a dinner roll! Not a bad breakfast spot. Typical breakfast food items-eggs, pancakes, choice of meat and bread. They have a breakfast buffet for those who would rather choose that option. We ordered the country fried steak and eggs with shredded potatoes, and toast and buttermilk pancakes. Steak was tender, but the breading did not stick well to the meat. The gravy was good, eggs were cooked as I ordered (over medium) and toast was crunchy, yet still soft enough and it was buttered. The buttermilk pancakes were fluffy and quite tasty. The shredded potatoes are interesting, texturally speaking. They were standard hash brown-type potatoes but they seems a bit more "minced" to me. They are okay, not bad. Coffee cane with a nice bowl of individual liquid creamers, some flavored and a bunch of jelly packets. All that food was less than $20. It's a good value. read more

In walking in the decor seems pretty dated. When I was escorted to my table, I had noticed that the table had some crumbs on it. It wasn't exactly super clean. The menu is somewhat basic and the pictures of the food seemed dull and uninviting. I decided to go for the western omelet. To my surprise, it was actually really, really good. The peppers had a good kick to them. They serve breakfast all day, which is great if you are looking for an omelet at the end of the day. The breakfasts are bigger and better and less expensive than the well known chain restaurant on the other side of town. The french toast is outstanding. The omelets are big and packed full of whatever fillings you order. The coffee is great. And they still serve real butter, which the well known chain on the other side of town just stopped providing. (hydrogenated "spread" only at that place). The chicken is delicious. They have a soup and salad bar every day, all the time, that is very nutritious and inexpensive. Their various buffets are not extensive and overdone like chain restaurant buffets, instead, everything is good that is on the buffet. The buffet costs what just a dinner would cost at most other places. The wait staff is friendly. And at any given time the owner, or the former owner, may be the one showing you to your table. Food and service has been great every time I've been here. However a friend of the man who runs the place was there today and met family here for a nice lunch. The 77 year old man appeared to be helping out as he made his way around to the tables and struck up a conversation with my family due to their Vietnam hat. When the family gave him some tips that's helped him with the VA the man took it straight to politics. At least three times this man kept bringing up politics and has an opposing view. We didn't try to keep the conversation going but this man started to leave and come back three times then told my family to get out of the restaurant and go back to where he's from. He then apologized to the table behind us as if we was the issue. We didn't do anything for this to happen. We later found out this man is only a friend to the man who runs it not an employee. A very bad taste. It didn't upset my family like it did me. You can't go anywhere without someone bringing up hate in politics. I'd been sick for over a month. It was my first time out and about and I left with a different kind of sick. Our waitress was great but never come back after this man did this to us. This man wasn't sorry that he stirred up a conversation that shouldn't have happened. My family member is strong willed on his political views and I was proud of them that they kept it cool against this man because of me. To not upset me. That old man was rude and wrong on several of his points and took everything I had not to disrespect my elder who was disrespectful to us. The star rating is due to the man who runs the place was there and looking our way when this happened and he was pointed out to us. I give this all a 1 star. The food and the young girls service up until this happen is a 5 star. Hate to rate low but this shouldn't happened. This is our go-to restaurant when in Circleville. Breakfast all day and the eggs are fried the way you order them. Pancakes, mush, and eggs are our favorite breakfast meals and all are top notch. We usually get the broasted chicken or fish and chips when we don't want breakfast. They have great coleslaw that goes well with either of these. I like the shrimp too. The waitresses are quite friendly and cheerful. We have patronized this restaurant for fifteen years. Their prices are very good for what you get. read more
