I was passing by and love local diners so decided to stop in. The diner is surrounded by a local antique mart so lots of parking and outdoor seating. I stepped back into the 60's with the checkerboard floor! I was seated and greeted by the waitress who took my order. The coffee arrived and was strong! My western omelet, crispy bacon and biscuit arrived quickly hot and aromatic. I enjoyed the meal. The bathrooms were clean and fresh. I recommend you stop in for a bite! read more

Fairly affordable (less than $10 a person), decent food (the coffee's the kind that'll save your life when you're clawing your way back from a hangover), and the charming 50s decor you should expect from a building that reflects the sun (if you've been to other classic diners, you'll know). Vegetarian options are limited but satisfactory. Speaking mainly of breakfast: they do eggs quite well and you can never go wrong with home fries. Omitting the meat from an omelette is always an option as well. A nice spot for a quick bite on your way in or out of Hocking Hills -- and given the options, possibly the best. read more

We stopped at this place while we were shopping in the area. It's small and we didn't have to wait for a table. The service was good, and the burgers were awesome. The only issue we had was the fries. They had no taste and were either mushy or super hard. Next time, I'll definitely try the onion rings, and we will definitely be back for the burger. read more

Enjoyed the breakfast we had here! Service was fast, which was really appreciated, so we could eat & get going! The food was tasty and well cooked. The retro diner vibe and décor of this restaurant is fun. We both really enjoyed our meals! There are (very clean) restrooms available, but for customer's only. They do accept all major credit cards. Prices are really good too; we got two meals and two coffees and before tip, it was $22. Very friendly server as well! I'd definitely come back! read more

Good ambience with decent food for maaaaybe a little bit too high of a price. The place was pretty busy and there servers did a pretty decent job keeping up with it all. We'll be returning and can pretty easily recommend if you like Americana vibes and burgers. read more

I saw this place on our way back from down south. It looked like an intersting old style road side cafe I'd like to try. I was not disappointed in the design of the place, it definitely put off a feel of an old 50's diner. Great look of decor and seating. They offer breakfast and lunch menu items,as their hours are kind of odd. They primarily open on the weekends when they have the trade days out side near the diner. We came for breakfast, I had the 2 eggs breakfast with a side of biscuit and gravy. My wife had some sort of hash brown topped with eggs bacon and gravy, I forget the name. Over all the food was just average. My recommendation: Not a bad place if you're in the area, but I woundn't go out of my way to try this place. Pro: Prices were great! Con: Average food. read more

I was impressed by the authentic 1950s theming of this classic diner location. While the entrance from 33 is a bit of an adventure (as is leaving) the prices were spectacular. The omelette was exactly what I was expectIng although the sausage was a tad on the well done side, and my wife enjoyed her biscuit and gravy. I feel bad rating a 2, but I wouldn't come back here. We walked in and waited next to the sign that said 'please wait to be seated', and the hostess stand is also directly next to the main counter with a few employees behind it. Probably 5 or 6 employees walked by us and no one even made eye contact with us to say 'we'll be right with you'. We finally spoke up and flagged down someone to indicate we wanted to sit outside. They have picnic tables outside, but there is no table service there, so you have to order take-out. Inside the diner is very small - not good for accommodating groups. As I was waiting our food, a party of 7 walked in and I wondered how they were going to find space for them. I was disappointed with the food. None of us ordered burgers (there were 3 of us), and maybe that was our mistake. Two of us ordered chicken wraps. It was the sorriest chicken wrap I've ever eaten. I mean, I did order it without bacon, but literally there was one fried chicken tender wrapped in a giant flour tortilla (I had to tear off half of the tortilla just to find the chicken inside). Everything was served in styrofoam containers. We sat outside and finished our take-out, and there were no trash cans outside to throw away our containers, we had to walk them back in and ask for a garbage can behind the counter. Also, the beverage selection was messed up. Despite having a big Dr. Pepper artwork thing by the door, they did not serve Dr. Pepper. When we wanted Sprite instead, we were informed that it "tastes funny right now". Needless to say we ended up with water. read more

we stopped here on a cold winter morning for a quick lunch when we were traveling thru the area for a funeral in Logan. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food here to say the least. We were the only ones in the place so upon arrival we were a little skeptical but were very happy with the experience. The food was good and very fresh. we got a burger and fries and a chicken wrap and everything was really good. This was a fun little stop on a recent trip to the area. It's fashioned like an old train car. Shiny silver, like a Zephyr. Inside is warm, cozy and diner quaint. The owner greeted us at the door. Farmhouse burger was good! However, please advise your waiters to clean tables by spraying cleaner onto towel then wipe the table. One of the waiters cleaned the table right next to us and over sprayed the table and cleaner got on my leg and part of our table. Good thing our food had not yet arrived. read more

I went with a group of 6 ladies after shopping and we all enjoyed our food. My burger was one of the best I ever had. It was not a pre made frozen patty. It was juicy and flavorful. We stopped at this diner on the way to Logan. It was not real crowded that day, so we got seated quickly. The wait staff was friendly. I got the grilled chicken wrap and the chicken was tender and there was a good balance of lettuce, tomatoes, and ranch dressing. The onion rings and fries were good, as well. I ordered an omelette with sausage egg, bacon and cheese the cooked 2 eggs folded them and threw cold bacon and sausage and cheese in the middle it was nasty I've never seen such a thing. If you want to run a restaurant learn how to cook omelettes. We are diabetic and needed sugar free syrup they didn't have any to offer. Brought me cold toast too and there are no kids meals for breakfast. I wish we would it have stopped here! We should've known better when really no one was there. The locals know best. read more

I originally wrote this review over on the Sandy Sue's Silver Diner listing. Since Yelp has marked that one as closed, and created this one, I'm reposting it here as the review is for the diner under it's new ownership. ------ Now known as Chelle's 33 Diner (presumably named after the new owner and the route that it sits off of), this throwback diner is surrounded by numerous antique and craft stores, and even a farmer/flea market on Saturdays. It's nice to see a diner that looks so much like what you'd see in retro 50's art. The inside isn't quite as nice as one would expect, but probably more authentic due to it's age. We stopped by around noon on a Saturday. Parking lot was pretty full as the farmer's flea market was happening in the next lot over, and there were also several people hitting the antique stores. The diner itself was surprisingly only about half full. We were seated quickly and the waitress took our drink order. The diner does seem to be in a bit of a transition period as the placemats still said "Sandy Sue's Silver Diner" on them. Wife ordered a hamburger, I went with the Farmhouse burger (topped with a fried egg, bacon and hash browns.) Both were terrific, though I was expecting a bit more hash browns on my burger. The amount was more for texture than flavor. The burgers are quite filling. Fries were pretty decent. Prices are a bit high for a diner (Wife's burger was $6, mine $8, plus $2 for fries) but the quality made it acceptable. Waitress checked up on us regularly to see if we needed refills. And gave us our check when we were done. Overall, very happy with the experience and would be willing to go back should we be back in that area. read more

Stopped here on the way to Columbus. It was a little chilly inside but not bad. The food was great! I got the grilled chicken wrap with fries and my husband got a burger. We also had the black raspberry pie. It tasted great but would have been better if warmed up. read more

It's straight up diner food as you'd expect. We ordered burgers and a salad. When you're craving something other than the usual fast food for a good old fashioned burger then they have what you want. No frills, slightly dated decor, but otherwise a good meal. Service was very friendly. Recommend, at least, checking it out for yourself. Would have gotten four stars if it really provided the true classic diner feel that I was looking for. read more

Visiting from Columbus for the weekend. This place is just absolutely amazing. Family run and the service was good and all the workers were just amazing to watch. They have a great buddy system. I have to say I don't think I have ever had a more delicious burger anywhere. I had the farm house burger and highly recommend it to anyone. This for sure will be on my must visit list every time I come back!!! read more
