I stopped by on a Sunday and took a tractor ride across the farm. Lavender farm smells great. We can even closely interact with lavender plants. Their products were unique. Cherry lavendar pie was available on Friday and Saturday only, but I got it on Sunday, probably made prior day. It tasted really good. Lavender lemonade was flavorful, but a bit too sweet for me. Lavender milkshake, lavender ice cream and lavender macaron were all unique tasting items. I got some lavender oil and scent products as well, all of them ended up excellent. read more

If you love lavender this is the place to visit! This is overall an awesome place to visit because it is peaceful, gorgeous, and has plenty of scenic locations/photo opportunities. This place has parking in the side of the farm. Upon entering the farm store, you are welcomed by the enchanting smell of lavender. There are various lavender items all over the store. They have just about anything you can think of that is lavender infused, including lavender infused sausages! They also have a mini kitchen area that serves the most amazing cherry lavender pie alongside various lavender infused drinks. The lemonade is absolute delicious! So much do that I ordered two for myself lol. It really just hits the spot on a hot and humid day. You can take your food out to the table area where you can see bees busy at work pollinating plants. If you select to do the wagon ride, you will learn about the business and the lavender extraction process. The owners are both very nice and do a great job of explaining the three types of lavender plants they grow on the farm and how the extraction process occurs to make essential oils. What a wonderful deep breath. The day we scheduled our tour turned out to be a crazy thunderstorm and they were kind enough to let us reschedule. The shop is lovely, the owner was there to do a nice introduction to the video, and the wagon ride was a moment to look out and reflect. Wish we had more time to explore but instead of visiting on our way in, we visited on our way out to Indianapolis. But my sister and I both said, we were glad we made the time. read more

Had no idea there was a lavender farm in Baraboo until recently searched for it on Google. So happy to have found it in perfect timing. I've been searching for the right place at the right time and this is the nest lavender place I've been to! Their shop is big and had a taste of their cherry lavender pie a la mode! I can't wait to try the recently bought peach and lavender jam at home! And I also tried their index spray sampler, that's pretty much the best insect Spray put there, it smells amazing, it's like a fragrance and insect spray In one bottle! Wow! What a hidden gem. I was in the Madison area visiting a friend and we had plans in the general vicinity of Baraboo, when she asked if we wouldn't mind stopping by the lavender farm. I love LOVE lavender and immediately said "Yes, duh, of course let's go there!" A short hop away from the highway, they have a decent amount of space for parking, to accommodate groups and events. You enter the quaint, cute little barn-like shop, where you can buy lavender scented and flavored products, and even just straight up lavender! On top of all that...for $5 you are welcome to explore and amble around the grounds. It is a low enough price for an utterly charming hour...you get a paper map of the farm and a suggested route/trail to see it all. A more in-depth and involved hayride tour of the grounds is more expensive and only happens once or twice a day, but if you find yourself there for it, I imagine it would also be a lovely time. Our walk around the grounds was very pretty and very nice. Some workers were actively harvesting lavender and were happy to chat with us and tell us interesting things. It helps that the weather was lovely and our stroll could be very leisurely and we utterly enjoyed seeing all the flowers. When we wrapped up and got ready to head out, we each ordered a strawberry lavender lemonade to go with us (delicious!) and got a slice of cherry lavender pie for later that evening (which...we totally forgot about by the end of the day and I never got to try but it smelled amazing and I am sure it was scrumptious). I would love to revisit again at peak purple time. I can't even imagine the feast for the eyes it would be! read more

The perfect spot to hang out with your girlfriends and admire the summer splendor! Coming to New Life Lavender and Cherry Farm was quaint, but so very cute! The area consists of a main store and then lots of areas of sitting by the lavender bushes and another small garden area with a bee hive and broken stone walls like ruins. If you're there earlier they have farm tours of their greater farm area, around 1 and 3 I believe (check website). Family-owned local business that were so kind and welcoming into their space. Some gravel parking available right next to the store. The outside of the store is adorable - red, farmhouse like with flowers circulating the outside. Masks are required, social distancing requested, and masks are worn by staff. Pre-COVID they also had tastings and various classes, but there's still lots to see in the store without it! There's so much variety of lavender products in the shop. Personally, I got the lavender brownie mix and lavender mist. There's sprays, oils, soaps, and more! Along with the store, they have a counter to order treats and drinks. If you must get anything, I highly recommend the Lavender Ice Cream! The most creamy and perfectly flavored lavender ice cream. The lavender taste was at the exact taste level and its this beautiful lilac purple color. We also got the lavender cherry pie fresh out the oven! The pie crust was nice and flakey, holding together the ooey gooeyness of the cherry compote. You can definitely taste the lavender and it's not overpowering. For drinks I ordered the mint chocolate lavender latte which was refreshing and had the aftertaste of lavender after taking a sip. Besides the store, there are so many areas to sit outside, relax and take pictures! Over by the lavender bushes is a gazebo in the center with hanging swing chairs and even a spot for you to set your phone to take pictures! We had a great time with this. The landscape was very well thought out and was beautiful! A short 35-45 minute drive to Baraboo from Madison and very close to Devils Lake State Park - this place deserves a stop! I have always wanted to go to a lavender farm and this place really exceeded my expectations. It was so beautiful during lavender season and such a wonderful, joyful place. Definitely very cute to take photos and walk around on a lovely summer day. They also have a little cafe, and I recommend the lavender ice cream. They have various events and tours you can take. We took a little tour of the farm on the wagon which was fun, but I think you can enjoy this place strolling around. But definitely a great option for folks with limited mobility. read more

As we walked to the building from the parking lot we could smell the aroma of lavender on the afternoon breeze. The main building has everything lavender. From essential oils, soaps, jams, maples syrup, olive oils, soap, cologne, and even beef sticks. They offer macarons, ice cream, cherry pie, coffee, and non coffee drinks all with lavender in them. We tried the ice cream and cherry lavender pie and they were both amazing. They offer tours, though we didn't go on one this time, they seem well worth the price considering everything it includes. This was a nice little stop. We had hoped to hike in Devil's Lake, but the rain canceled but we were still able to stop here. The cherry pie slice and lavender ice cream was delicious! My husband and I decided to make the trip from Madison for our anniversary last weekend. Sadly we missed peak lavender season, but there were still a few plots to see! The farm is beautiful and spacious, which was perfect for social distancing. We tried lavender ice cream, which is my new favorite thing. Definitely need to try and find a copy cat recipe! My husband and I had such an amazing time visiting this farm! We visited towards the end of the lavender season... so, the lavender wasn't in full bloom... but it was still so pretty! Walking through the wildflower fields was also very lovely! One of my favorite parts about visiting here was eating at their bakery... so many yummy and unique lavender treats! My husband and I each tried a few different sweet treats and drinks. We loved everything we tried! My only critique of this farm... the gift shop is quite pricey. My husband and I really wanted to buy a few things, but it all was just so much money. We wanted to create our own essential oil roll on blend... but it was like $25 for a small tube. And the gift shop is a large part of visiting here... so, we really wish there would have been more affordable options. read more

My friends and I travelled from southern Indiana and Colorado to visit the area. We were all so excited to visit this farm, but were quickly let down. While we didn't reserve tickets for the tour, we were surprised at how unwelcome our presence was at the farm after 11 am. We were greeted by a woman in the shop that tried to direct us to the goods for sale. When we asked about tours and seeing the grounds, we were brushed off with answers like, "it's all been harvested" and "there's not much you're going to see". Still- we wanted to experience the farm, even without the tour. I then asked if we were free to walk around, to which the employee reluctantly said "uhh, sure". We knew we weren't visiting at peak season, but we didn't come to be told everything was dead. The goods in the shop were overpriced and honestly, we had no reason to buy them. I'm giving 3 stars because the property itself is beautiful and would likely be a pleasant experience during full bloom. Maybe we'll try again, maybe not. read more

Visited this magical little place over the weekend and highly recommend making a visit and taking the wagon tour. The grounds of the farm are pristine & the owners are lovely. I purchased the cherry salsa &peach lavender jam, that I've enjoyed over the past few days. I also had a slice of the lavender cherry pie, which was so yummy. I visited New Life Lavender & Cherry Farm in October with a friend of mine. We went for an evening tractor ride through the farm followed by a bonfire and hotdogs and s'mores. It was a special event they were hosting. It was really a lot of fun! We got to see the land, including the lavender gardens and cherry trees, as well as the animals they keep, an adorable baby cow, some sheep, and some bee hives. It was a really interesting and fun tour, not boring like some tend to be. There's also a partially dilapidated structure on the land near the bonfire area that they have turned into a "secret garden." It's quite fascinating. Their main building houses a store where you can get lavender ANYTHING! Soaps, sprays, lotions, cherry/lavender pies, baking and cooking accessories, gifts, home decor.. The list goes on and on. This building also houses a large commercial kitchen where they do the baking of the pies, as well as other farm-to-table food stuff. It's a family run establishment, and it was really fun learning about how they got started and how far the farm has come. The family is obviously quite religious as you can tell just by listening to their story and some of the items they sell in the store, but as someone who is not religious at all (we're talking atheist here), I never once felt as though they were pushing the religion factor or over-doing it, so it wasn't an issue at all. I didn't feel like I was at church. I would like to visit again when it's warm again and spend a little more time in the store! They have so many cool lavender products that I want to try! read more

A cute summer activity to do with your family! We did the tour and they took us around their grounds visiting the lavender, wildflowers, bees, and sheep. We first watched a video on how their farm came to be and it was meaningful learning how this family poured their hearts and soil into this family run business. After the tour, they gave us their homemade lavender and cherry pie. Absolutely delicious. Their store has an ample.amount of products. We ended up getting some.jam and bread mix. We also ate their homemade lavender ice cream and macaroons- all excellent with a lovely lavendar aroma. read more

The new life Lavender and Cherry Farm was the favorite part of our trip! We have been there twice and loved it both times! We recommend signing up in advanced for the farm to table tour! The tour is popular so it fills up quickly. The family the runs the farm are delightful! The foods the prepare with their lavender are extraordinary! We tried lavender ice-cream, lavender lemonade, macaroons and EVERYTHING was delicious! We went when the lavender was in season and were able to take home some fresh bunches of the lavender from the farm. Then you have to visit there amazing store which has so many amazing products! We wanted to support this amazing family business so we send gifts to our family and friends. You will not be disappointed. It is also a great place to get beautiful photographs. In August I took a friend up here for their tractor tour. Even though lavender's blooming season in mid-June to mid-July, this was a unique experience.
