We had a disappointing experience there last week. We had bought that were on sale there, 2 glasses of syrup, one Strawberry and one Ginger, and 2 boxes of dates. When we went to use them we saw that the 2 glasses of syrup were 21 years past their best before date. The dates were 1.3 years past their sell-by date. We handed it in to the store and were surprised by 2 young employees. One, a young lady, pushed the items back towards us and said "We don't take back those kinds of items." That, of course, led to an argument. As the argument got louder she said that sell-by dates only apply to grocery stores, not to liquor stores, and that it wasn't counted for food at their place of business. It finally ended up with us getting our money back. read more

In McKinney, the sale of packaged liquor is prohibited. Therefore, one must make the trip either north to Anna or south to Allen to acquire a bottle of booze. Goody Goody Liquor is conveniently located off the 75 in Anna. Just be careful with all the construction going. In order to get into the small strip you have to be paying close attention to turn-in to their parking lot. Goody Goody has a great selection of spirits (power packing alcohol). Their prices are very reasonable and their aisles are very well organized to meet your drinking needs. For example, they have an Irish whiskey aisle stocked with Powers, Jameson, Tullamore, Bushmills, Red Breast, and Teeling. They have an aisle for your favorite drink. The further you travel to the back of the store, the bigger the bottles. Finally, my favorite thing about this store was that I was left to browse their selection freely. Yes - they asked me if I needed any help when I walked in, but they let me look around until my heart was content. read more

Let me begin by explaining that I am from New Orleans. In New Orleans there is no reason to go to a specialty liquor store. Every store sells all varieties of booze. While in the area we decided we needed liquor, and Goody Goody was recommended to me. I must admit the name made it sound like a cheap hole in the wall, but I was pleasantly surprised. This place is very well stocked. There is a huge selection of chilled beer including some excellent imports. Since I can't get it in Louisiana, I opted for the Shined Black, which was great. This store also has an excellent wine selection, but I wanted beer and booze, not wine. Their scotch selection was vast and I could spend hours just staring and trying do decide what to get. The employees were very friendly and helpful, and even though it was crowded (the day before Thanksgiving), there was no wait at the registers. This is a great place and I will gladly return if I am in the area. read more

Good deals on liquors and everything is easy to locate. They have a great variety of beers, wines and liquors. Super nice staff.

I just really love Goody Goody because regardless of what the name sounds like, it's actually a really awesome liquor store. It has a variety of different liquors and they tend to carry things that you might not find at other stores. I also love the staff here because they're really helpful and if you ask for something they don't have they will offer to special order it for you and give you a call when it arrives. That plus great prices makes them the liquor store for me! read more

They had the special Haitian rum I needed for a Vodou celebration and I got a chance to be Yelp friends with the king on NOLA!

I have called the store to confirm my reservation for a keg about 20 times today ! Phone rings and hangs up ! If you can't communicate then it's useless ! *** I did receive a follow up message from the manager saying they had been having problems with their phone systems . So , I think an apology goes a long way . My husband said the employees were very friendly when he got there and helpful. We picked up a keg of Revolver beer and it seemed to be a big hit. read more
