I stopped by to have a tire checked as it had a piece of metal through the tread. A staff member came to my car and determined that all was well and no repairs were needed. It took less than 5 minutes and I was on my way with no charge. Fast, friendly, free. read more

Update: 5 hours later my car has AC but there seems to be a leak. When the vehicle blows warm air again I'm to bring it back as they put dye in the system to see where the leak comes from. No charge for reinspection when I return. All and all I'm happy with the service. Total cost $495 and .02 refrigerant. Update: they came out and told me the refrigerant required wasn't the old refrigerant, I knew that, then explained why there may be issues and it takes longer etc., etc. I gave them the ok to continue. One google check would've shown what is required. They did say they wouldn't charge me more. I needed to have my AC serviced so I did a google search and found Goodyear does that service. When I arrived I was happy to see a coffee and water station plus the lobby only had 4 clients waiting. I looked up the possibilities for repair cost and reasons for the warm air issue. I called Goodyear, told them what I wanted and they said they had to do an AC check before they could move forward. I decided fine, even though the machine used isn't normally so expensive, $200, I do realize I may be wrong about the problem and it could be something else though I didn't believe so. I use to work on my own cars back in the day so I understood their need to check for themselves. They were able to get me in the next day with an 11am appointment, 2.5hrs later my vehicle was still in the parking lot. Again, I know how this works and they overbook in case someone doesn't show and you never know when a service may take longer than expected. At the end of the day whether they fix my AC without trying to add services and the total cost is what will matter. I'll keep you posted and will update My stars accordingly. read more

***UPDATED BELOW REVIEW*** Had an oil plug incident at another Goodyear corporate garage and contacted Goodyear customer relations. They told me "just take it to one of our corporate garages in your area, tell them what happened, and they'll get it taken care of." I called the Goodyear at Skymarks as they were the closest and explained the situation. I was immediately rebuffed with "well, I don't know WHY anyone would have told you we'd just 'take care of it', my techs have to get paid somehow." Regardless, Dylan? Daryl? Whomever I was speaking with finally relented and told me to bring it in and he'd "look at it" and see what could be done. I did so and was again told he just couldn't understand why in the world his shop should fix something another shop fell short on. Maybe he's not a big "company man", I don't know. Thankfully, I was contacted later the same day and was told that "everything was good, you van come by and pick it up. The only thing you have to pay for today is the 105 oil change we did." I mean, yeah, they didn't have to comp an oil change for my troubles of bringing it in, catching an uber home, etc, but it would have gone a long way to repairing my attitude towards whether or not to ever use Goodyear for service or not. Three vehicles and 6 years of using them for oil changes, tires and rotations down the tubes. In short, I guess if you want the bare minimum work done, they're fine. I can get an oil change at the 10 minute place for half the price though. UPDATE BEGINS-- Hey so I went to pick up my vehicle (thanks for the ride, pops), and walked in, gave the service writer my name, and he immediately disappeared to let the Manager ("Dylan" I think) I was there. He came out, and within a sentence or two let me know he had seen my reviews I left and that he felt he "got the short end of the stick". He then went on to remind me that people lie and that anyone could have just shown up saying another place had messed up their vehicle wanting something for free. I didn't take what he was saying as an implication, as I had gathered by then that his customer service soft skills and EQ were lacking and he was just being honest in his feelings, which I appreciate. I legit was planning on updating my review to a 4star based on the quickness and efficiency with which the work was done. Until (and there is always an until, it seems) I questioned him about the tires and brakes which were part of the $105 oil change he gave me. He said everything was good, let me know the brake pads would probably need to be changed next oil change and tires still had some life in them but a couple were a tad low on air. Nothing more to speak of. Now, when I went in, the right rear tire was low due to the rim being dinged a bit (wives and curbs, amirite). The problem is, when I left the right rear tire was low. So they didn't rotate the tires. Brakes-wise I know there is a problem with the boost sensor, but nothing said about that either. Hopefully the oil got changed. Sadly, the good that was done was undone by the negative, so the review doesn't change. read more

Went in to find out why the check engine light was one. The light was not blinking and my car was not doing anything unusual. i wanted to know the light was on. That cost me $219.00. They also decided to check everything and present me with an estimate of $2534.08. I will not be going back there. A new ripoff! Got the coupon for $80 oil change and rotation for 21 Chevy spark. When I got here they said they had to do the $100 oil change because the $80 oil change does NOT have the Premium Oil Filter that the manufacturer specified and they will not use the 5000 mile oil filter that the $80 oil change calls for. Last time I go here or anywhere car care chain. Total bullshit. You can't pull this at the last moment. Update: I received a call from Corporate apologizing for this issue and a $40 coupon for my next oil change. Very pleased with the resolution! Oh boy! If you are woman and want decent customer service, don't step in this place! My husband came in LAST WEEK and spent $1000 no questions asked here on tires and they couldn't have been nicer to him! Sugar wouldn't have melted in their mouths! So my tires were low on air(nitrogen).... Husband tells me to drop in there to get taken care of. I recently have health(heart) problems but I went in for help. Mr. Behind the Counter Guy couldn't have been more dismissive. A total waste of time. So I went to Discount Tire where I was treated like a human being. If you don't have nitrogen, you should at least tell me how to find it. You should be ashamed. You're lazy. Not even concerned if I had a flat tire or not. We were visiting North Jacksonville when I realized I had a screw in my tire. This tire has been giving me problems every since I got it a few months ago, so I wasn't surprised. I came here just to check how much it would be to get it patched, turns out it was FREE! I didn't even purchase my tire from here either. After I found that out, they also mentioned that they do military discounts. I needed an oil change, so considering the free tire patch and military discount, I went ahead and got one while I was there. I am super happy with the customer service, everyone was so friendly. The waiting room and bathrooms were very clean. They got my car in and out in a timely manner. They did not push any sales on me at all, like most repair shops. Made an appointment a week in advance and called ahead of time the day of to make sure everything was set up. Got there on time just to be told it would be a 3 hour wait. Had to buy the tire and take it somewhere else to be installed. Once I got to the other place, they told me I paid way too much for the 4 year old tire I got. Took my car here to have a patch put on a tire that got a nail in it, they stripped my lug nuts, and then proceeded to tell me a previous mechanic did it. Ended up paying $40 for something they did. Will never return, so much for great service. They say it's free of charge but then do something else so that they can make a profit somehow. read more

Missing firearm******I went yesterday to get my tires changed because I realize vibration in my tires. They explained my brakes need to be changed. I ask them to change them. The guy test drive my vehicle for 10-15 minutes. When he returned. I settled up with cashier, went to hop into my truck and noticed my firearm was missing. I ran back inside, asked if it fell out. Not trustworthy. I have taken my car to this specific location before and had no issues with them. As a matter of fact, I was pleased that they fixed my tire which had a slow leak for free. So when I brought my car back to them due to another slow leak, I was surprised and disappointed to be told that my tire had nail in it and was un-repairable. They quoted me a $125 tire replacement. For whatever reason, I declined and decided to take my car to another tire location for a second opinion. Much to my surprise, the new tire location found a nail in the third thread of my tire and was able to patch it....for FREE. This begs the question...why would Goodyear tire tech misrepresent and explain that the tire was beyond repair? My answer...SCAMMERS!!! read more

I called this Goodyear Service center and was told they couldn't fix it, but they would look at it and perhaps be able to tie it up temporarily. we stopped in and they took us right away, tied up the pipe and off we went. This place is the worst. Took my wife's car in because it was stalling out but wasn't throwing a code. The guy had all the confidence in the world he knew the problem, two weeks later and out $400+ I was back in the store with the exact same problem being told I needed to spend another $800 for spark plugs and coil packs, and that the $400 I spent two weeks ago had absolutely nothing to do with the problem. I was offered a break of $40 off the job since they didn't fix it the first time..........$40.......... When I asked the guy, in his experience, what the most reliable cars they see come in the shop he put his shoe on the counter and said "shoes". I'm not joking, that happened. Only positive thing about my experience here is that they let me keep the car there overnight until I could get a reasonable quote for half that amount, still ultimately ended up doing the work myself with a total parts cost of $200 and two hours of an inexperienced mechanics like myself a time. This place has ripped me off for the last time. Each time I go in with a problem no matter what it is their answer is I have to buy a new tire and each time it is a different excuse why. Yet I go to their competition across the street and they have no problem fixing it, no need to buy a new tire. I don't normally bash things online but I feel the need to warn everyone. DO NOT go to Goodyear in rivercity marketplace for an oil change. They didnt put my oil cap back on after changing my oil and my car leaked oil for a month all over my engine. My engine could have blown up and I'm very lucky that aside for little issues it's caused that my car isn't completely screwed. I also came back up here today to get my service for THEIR screw up and one of the managers told me I had to wait for the other manager for an hour because he doesn't know the situation. Rather than calling the other manager and asking about it he told me to come back. Meaning I'd be sitting up there for about three hours. They are very unprofessional. Do not care about the fact they almost ruined my car and they do not care about making your expierence a good one. read more

My husband and I took our Shelby GT500 here to get tires replaced and everything seemed okay...but as we watched the crew taking the car off the lift and backing it out of the bay, an employee decided to get into the passenger seat, which is entirely unneeded, and only made us suspicious. Clearly, they were not aware that we were watching this. The employee standing outside of the bay looked at me and said, "Oh, is this your car?" With severe annoyance, I replied, "Yes, it is my car." He only laughed, to which I replied, "No really, it's mine." He looked immediately embarrassed. The driver only thankfully took the car a few spaces down to park it. As we were standing inside, the employees apologized somewhat, but it was apparent they had wanted to take it for a joy ride, had they not been caught. My husband found extraneous grease on the wheels and tires as well. Too bad...things were going well, until a few jokers completely changed everything. read more

Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. The next day I noticed the tires had not been rotated. There was a lot of brake dust accumulated on the front rims from a recent issue and they were still in the front. I returned to Goodyear and explained the rotation wasn't done and asked if they could do it as I had already paid for it and it was supposed to have been done. I was told they are busy and they could schedule me in the morning. I could not believe it. They charged me for a service they did not do. I took my time to come back to the store and instead of fixing their mistake, they wanted me to return again a different day, waste more of my time to do a service that was supposed to already be done. If they cut corners like this I do not have confidence they do not cut other corners and avoid doing services they charge the consumer to perform. Would caution anyone going to this location to check and make sure the services they pay for are actually being done. read more

I took my 1995 4runner to Goodyear to purchase tires. Goodyear offered me a credit card to receive an 80 dollar rebate on the purchase of tires. I accepted the offer and received a Goodyear credit card with a 2500 dollar limit. Once approved the associate promptly told me I needed to have my brakes serviced all the way around and in order to warranty my new tire I would need to replace my idler arm and have a 4 wheel alignment completed. The total cost would be nearly 2000 dollars. I agreed to allow them to complete all the repairs. After the brake job was completed the ASE tech could not determine why the brake pedal was not as firm as it should be but said it would be ok to drive home. I live approximately 25 miles from the Goodyear store. I drove the car home and immediately found that I had limited braking capacity and an extremely unsafe vehicle. The next morning I took the vehicle back to Goodyear. They could not determine why the brakes no longer functioned properly after they did the brake job. They determined that the vehicle needed to go to the Toyota dealership to figure out why the brakes were not functioning properly after they completed the brake job. I agreed to allow them to send it to Toyota but stated in multiple conversations with Ryan at Goodyear do not authorize any work to be completed unless Goodyear is going to pay for it. Toyota determined that the brake pedal needed to be adjusted to complete the brake job. Goodyear authorized the repair without contacting me. Once the repairs were complete Goodyear customer service and service manager (Jim Bessemer) contacted me telling me that I was going to have to pay an additional 251.70 dollars to Toyota to complete the brake repairs on my vehicle. When I went to pick up my vehicle they would not take my debit card stating they would only take cash from me. I picked up my vehicle this morning after the 4 wheel alignment was complete and found my steering wheel is off by about 20 degrees. The car does drive straight but the steering wheel is off. I now have to take the vehicle back for a third time to get the repairs completed properly. read more

I just got ripped off by this store. I paid for an oil change and a tire rotation. Picked up the car and discovered that the tires had not been rotated because I had marked them. I asked the manager about it and he straight up lied to me face and said they did. I called him out on it and then he back tracked and said they did not and that they made a mistake. BOLD FACE LIE! how do I even know that my oil was changed? how do I know if a synthetic blend was used?? I checked the dip stick and it appeared to be changed but I don't know for sure. Regular oil could have been used. So sad that a honorable place like Goodyear is like this and is dishonest. I wander how many more people they do this too. I will never go back. Went in for front brakes. They didn't tighten the sliders, and a caliper came loose while my wife was on the way to Atlanta. She nearly wrecked, it ruined the wheel. Repair, tow and Rental Car exceeded $1200. They sent me a check for $179.65. I've been reminding them about the balance for months. read more
