My fiancé called ahead and clearly explained that he needed his work van fully inspected and repaired before a long business trip to Florida. Not only did they fail to meet that promise, but when he picked the van up, the horn wasn't working at all. He immediately returned, reminding them of the urgency. Their response? It's hard to judge by what they do, which is change the oil. I always walk around the store while they do the oil change. So I'm always a sucker for spending money on things that are clearance. Especially toys since I use the clearance toys to give them away during Halloween for the kids that have allergies and can't have candy. I decided to forgo the toothbrushes and penny. Since everyone does that. I want to have toys that they can have. Back to the oil change. Good thing they give you a sticker that tracks when you go and get an oil change. So they have your info in the computer. They know the grade and how much it will take for the oil change. If my car breaks down because it doesn't have enough oil I know who didn't put enough in. Found out the next day while driving down i-64 and the skid plate started scraping down the highway. We now have to zip tie this kid plate whenever oil changing because they won't replace it. Next time went back bought four tires, one of the tires filled within one week and they had to replace that. Gave them a third chance, had another oil change the next day airbag sensor started going off in the car. Took it back up, was told they don't do anything with airbag sensors and that we had to have a faulty sensor replace somewhere else. Three strikes in your out. I will never take anything to Walmart to be worked on again.

We were looking online and found the O'Brien had two new Ford Escape Hybrids available so we went right over first thing. We looked at both vehicles and chose the one we liked with more of the features we were looking for. Both were good vehicles, but the color swayed us to the one we chose. We had to leave for an appointment but returned to purchase the vehicle. Upon arriving, we found that the other vehicle was in process of being purchased also. That would leave the dealer with no remaining inventory on this model. There was no real negotiation over the price, which seemed high compared to other similar vehicles we've purchased in the past. In the current market, we had no choice but to buy the car at the price listed, or don't buy it. Even though the cost was spendy, it was a relief to not have to perform the song and dance, back and forth, with the sales team to agree on a price. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They offered us connection to the Ford Pass account that monitors our car online, a free CarFax account, and regular service reminders. Unfortunately, we live in Utah and O'Brien is in Shelbyville, KY. Our salesman and the service manager were willing to work with our Utah DMV to facilitate the purchase and get our license plates processed. Another Utah DMV requirement was a VIN number inspection by a local police officer, which O'Brien was willing to facilitate to get the sale. If we lived in the area, we would likely use this location for our service requirements. Our local Ford dealers in Utah have been less than desirable for service. We'd be hopeful that O'Brien would be better.

Most mechanics that I've used in the past have horrible customer service and give minimal information about my car's problems and the work necessary to fix the problems. Meineke has been a breath of fresh air in this respect. I definitely would recommend them and will continue to take my car to them as needed.
