It's easy to get in and out of and I'm accustomed to sitting lower to the ground. Unfortunately being an older car means that most car dealer service departments are not equipped to work on it. We had located a location in Shelbyville that provided good repair service for it but that business closed due to the owner retiring. This Fall my car absolutely needed attention and became unreliable to drive as it sputtered and chugged. Then our local newspaper took votes county wide for The Best Of.... We read with interest the results and noticed the category Best of Automotive Repair. The number one winner was West Automotive. My husband took a drive to the business and visited with the owner and employees. He came home quite energized that this was the correct business to service my car. Several weeks ago we dropped my car off for repairs. Yep, as I thought my spark plug wires needed to be replaced because I lost the battle with the squirrels. While they did this work they also informed us the water pump needed to be replaced. Within the week my car was repaired and back purring like a kitten. They even greased my squeaking door. We now know where to take the car in the future. It was truly a five star experience.

There is a huge and deep pothole in the center of the lot. Also, there several large and deep potholes in the pavement at the entrance from the road. It's very difficult to exit or enter without encountering one of these potholes to avoid damage to cars or tires or causing an accident. The listing advertised keyless entry, but when I picked it up, they only gave me one fob -- and it was the wrong one. It doesn't even work for keyless entry, which was a major feature I expected. After the sale, I spoke with their manager and we came to an agreement: I would pay $100, and the dealership would cover the rest of the cost to get the correct key fob. They also agreed to fix the broken panic button on the fob I currently have. This was confirmed over the phone and in text messages. For weeks, I kept following up. They delayed, stalled, and then finally told me they won't honor the agreement -- claiming it wasn't on the "We Owe" form, even though I have written proof of what was promised. They now want me to pay out of pocket for their mistake. At this point, I'm filing formal complaints with the BBB and Attorney General. I just want to warn others: be very careful with this dealership. Get everything in writing before you sign, because promises made afterward may be ignored.

About one month later, I received a telephone call from an employee, "Brittney", explaining she had been attempting to call me several times (My records don't reflect the calls). She explained they can not look at my car until I sign the agreement. Two weeks later, I checked with Brittney, who informed me she still does not have my agreement, which I submitted a second time. I received two text messages informing my car was ready for pickup. I telephoned the shop directly for verification and was informed that it was an automatic message and the car was not completed. I picked up my car on 17 July 2025, approximately two months later. I discovered two parts missing, and promised they would be mailed to my residence. As I drove away, the hood was vibrating, and I noticed some rough edges on the hood. I immediately returned to the shop to address the problems. I was informed that since I reside approximately 5 hours away, I can take the vehicle to any Caliber Collision with my lifetime guarantee. Needless to say I'm not a happy customer.
