They wanted to charge me 130.00 more. Even though I went right to the store when I finally found out it wasn't processed and I showed them my order and the price. They did nothing to help and their customer service sucked. I ended up going to the manufacture and ordering it again and I got it at the price I wanted and the manufacturer told me when it was going to be delivered and they wrapped the gift!! Your store is lovely, but there is room for improvement. Im writing not to make a big deal but you need to improve your service.

Beware Crate & Barrel in-home "design" service: We had…read moresomeone from the store come to our house in East Corte Madera to help us pick out a sectional. Due to the way they designed the configuration it was "custom and not returnable" - however when it arrived the scale was so enormous that I tried to refuse delivery. When I worked very patiently with the in store associates to resolve the issue, they were even willing to send someone to the house but later admitted that corporate is "cracking down" and even though the manager admitted she would have suggested something different and the original "design consultant" who came to our home had no design experience (she told me this herself when she was at our house) their design team decided that "in line with corporate policy" they would refuse a return. I have written to their corporate office with no response and am now stuck with an eye sore which cost $4,600. It is so innapropiate for the home in every way that I now have it listed for sale here and on Craig's List. Crate & Barrel does not stand behind their in-home design service so buyer beware - this service does not prevent you from making huge mistakes and when mistakes are made they do not stand with the consumer, they stand for profits only. Too bad as I would have continued using Crate & Barrel for years to come and my trust is now gone.

I was able to find these really cute jeans in my size, that were an additional 50% off, although final sale. Their sale rack was very organized, and very plentiful. There was a whole room full of tops, and two racks of jeans. There were even more random sale items throughout the store, not in the sale section. I was quite surprised. I waited in line twice, once to return, and once to buy my jeans. Neither wait was long at all - just one person ahead of me, quite quick. I used to live in this neighborhood so was very familiar with the location of this store even though I had never been inside. I decided that I wanted to "shop local" vs purchasing everything online. I have my new kitchen and bathroom designed, the electricians are coming and I am ready to make my selections. I take time from my day to drive over to this place in my old neighborhood. When I arrived, there was another client ahead of me. That was no problem. I wasn't in a hurry as I had set this time aside for this purpose. I was looking around the room and the woman working there asked me what I needed and when I told her, "a lot of lighting" she let me know that she wouldn't be available to help me for 20 minutes or so. I said, that's fine I can wait. Then she asked me if I had made a list of what I needed and what purpose/function I expected from each light fixture. Ummmm. I have a list in my head. I haven't written down a list. I am not a list making type of person but I know my spaces. Then she tells me I need to go home and make a list and come back when I have it because otherwise, I am going to "fall in love" with items out of my budget. Huh?? I was so confused! She had no idea what my budget was. She literally sent thousands of dollars in unsolicited business out the door. This place must not need new clients. That's ok. There are plenty of places that will happily take my money. I walked into an appliance store today and they were thrilled to show me their inventory and assist me in my purchases. It was a stark contrast to my experience at Lunaria. EDIT: To respond to the response. You are not being truthful with what happened. NEVER did you infer that I step out for coffee and come back. I WAS the person who asked for catalogs to look through while waiting and you specifically told me that would be a waste of time without a list. Even your client seemed to pick up on the fact that you were about to lose a customer and she then said, "Here, here are some catalogs if you would like to view them." and that is when I said, "She just said that would be a waste of time and is not her process." If you're going to tell the story, please be honest about what occurred. Super frustrating experience considering I set time aside to come view some lighting and even was very clear that I was in no hurry and didn't mind waiting for you to finish. When the vendor failed to specify the right bulb for the chandelier that I bought, Alia intervened, contacted the vendor about the omission, and bought the correct bulb from a local store. Her husband delivered the correct bulbs in the rain to expedite installation. I'm a long time World market customer, and huge fan of their merchandise. This location has a pretty large inventory ranging from furniture (living room, dining, desks), home decor, curtains, rugs, beer and wine, imported food, jewelry, kitchenware, gift items, etc. The shopping center parking lot is a hot mess though. Especially on the weekends, there seem to be more customers than parking spaces. Plus since there is only one way in and out, and the street has no designated turn lane, it causes a bottleneck on entering and exiting. Heck it even takes awhile to walk from the parking lot into the shop because the cars just don't seem to want to stop for pedestrians. Too busy jockeying for a space.
