Great paint job by Su! I have tiny nails so it's always hard to do them well and not too thick. I like milky pinks and this came out nicely. Let's see how long it lasts. She had gloves for me to use as well to protect my skin. The only downside to this place is that it's in kind of a funky neighborhood but if you don't mind that and are looking for a good paint job, come here! Came in on a Wednesday afternoon for a pedicure ahead of my bachelorette trip. The staff are friendly and welcoming unfortunately, the service I received was subpar. The nail tech used a scraper tool to remove my old gel, which was very painful and uncomfortable. Additionally, I shared with them that I had a foot injury that led to pain in my big toe despite cheering this the technician was unfortunately very rough with my toe leading to a good deal of pain at the end my new gel polish came out, looking uneven and lumpy. It seemed like the staff had the right intentions, but it did not translate into service read more

The best place in Marin! I base the quality of a nail salon on how well they actually use the cuticle pusher tool and clean up your nail bed and this place does it every time and they do it well. They are professional and clean. They manage appts and walkins very well, they speak great English and you can communicate well with them. They have great massage chairs, drinks, expansive color selection, reasonable prices. They always have relaxing music on, not some craziness like some places I've been to. They have great Marin landscapes to look at, they always have parking. I always drive out of my way to get my nails done by these lovely ladies!!!! read more

I called this morning for a Gel Pedicure not knowing if they could accommodate me or not but to my surprise, they were able to fit me this afternoon.. I waited for a little bit when I got there as they were pretty busy, but since I wasn't in a hurry it was completely fine. When the worker started the Pedicure she was kind and nice, and overall I had a FANTASTIC experience. One of the best I've had in Marin. As I live in Sonoma County I won't be able to come as often as possible, but I will definitely be coming back and giving them my business if I'm in the Marin area. Visited Twin Sisters Nails this afternoon, and Wow! Let's start with the good: warm welcome; calming music; poster-size shots of Bay Area landmarks on the wall; beverages offered, including sodas, still/sparkling water, & champagne on weekends. (Yes, please; I'm not driving!). Next, the better: great selection of nail colors & spa treatments; comfortable couch with throw pillows while you wait; very chill, family-like vibe, and regulars greeted warmly by name. Now, for the best: First, twin Lucy got me all settled, assessing my nails and asking questions about what I wanted and advising the various options; while were discussing the details, Mama Tina proceeded to give me what ended up being hands-down the BEST classic pedicure I think I've ever had, making even my ugly toes actually look refined and pretty! Meanwhile, twin Nancy had taken over my hands, carefully cleaning, trimming, shaping and buffing my nails to perfection. With all the attention, I started feeling like a celebrity getting glammed up! LOL! It would take too long to list everything Nancy did to make my mani- service epic; suffice it to say I was VERY pleased with the job she did (the attached pic doesn't even come close to doing it justice), all while making me feel like her favorite client! Photo is my gel polish two hours after they applied it. I had an appointment, waited almost half an hour, which is fine if the service was good. But they they rushed me through in 20 minutes, and the tech kept walking away mid-polish to deal with other clients. Polish peeled off three separate fingers two hours later. Salon offered to fix it on a date that's after the event I needed the mani for, so that doesn't help. Instead, I had to soak it off at home the same night because no mani looks less terrible than the photos. Salon refuses to refund nonetheless. Avoid this place. read more

I had such a great experience with Nancy 1 (yes, there are two Nancys here!) and LyLy. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make sure my nails looked perfect and I felt relaxed. LyLy's pedicure skills are next level--she's meticulous with every little detail, and her massage was honestly one of the best I've had. Nancy 1 is warm, friendly, and you can tell she truly cares about each client. My dip manicure turned out beautifully, and she gave an amazing massage as well. For the quality of service, the prices are more than fair. The appointment went by so quickly, and at checkout, Nancy 1 even reminded me about my stamp card (13th visit is free!) which was such a nice bonus. The technicians and the manager of The Salon were very kind and welcoming. however, I was very turned off when I walked into the place and all I could see was nail dust everywhere, including on the shelves where the colors are kept, and the equipment that the techs use. the chairs where clients sit are falling apart. the table where the tech worked was covered in dust. somehow they do not do a manicure when they are doing gel powder. what? That makes no sense at all. very kind and nice people. but they need to invest in a good cleaning service. read more
