Apparently the card didn't go through but I never received a notice even though I had a confirmation number and a delivery date. So I went into the store and they refused to give me the same price. They wanted to charge me 130.00 more. Even though I went right to the store when I finally found out it wasn't processed and I showed them my order and the price. They did nothing to help and their customer service sucked. I ended up going to the manufacture and ordering it again and I got it at the price I wanted and the manufacturer told me when it was going to be delivered and they wrapped the gift!! Your store is lovely, but there is room for improvement. Im writing not to make a big deal but you need to improve your service.

Beware Crate & Barrel in-home "design" service: We had…read moresomeone from the store come to our house in East Corte Madera to help us pick out a sectional. Due to the way they designed the configuration it was "custom and not returnable" - however when it arrived the scale was so enormous that I tried to refuse delivery. When I worked very patiently with the in store associates to resolve the issue, they were even willing to send someone to the house but later admitted that corporate is "cracking down" and even though the manager admitted she would have suggested something different and the original "design consultant" who came to our home had no design experience (she told me this herself when she was at our house) their design team decided that "in line with corporate policy" they would refuse a return. I have written to their corporate office with no response and am now stuck with an eye sore which cost $4,600. It is so innapropiate for the home in every way that I now have it listed for sale here and on Craig's List. Crate & Barrel does not stand behind their in-home design service so buyer beware - this service does not prevent you from making huge mistakes and when mistakes are made they do not stand with the consumer, they stand for profits only. Too bad as I would have continued using Crate & Barrel for years to come and my trust is now gone.

We've spent over $15,000 at Ethan Allen on a couch with chase, two chairs and an area rug. The rug…read moreand one of the chairs are fine. The other chair's fabric was bunching around the arms and the couch fabric's pattern was irregular and mis-aligned. Ethan Allen sent someone out to look at both pieces and after considerable wait time, they decided to replace the couch and chair as neither could be repaired. The new chair came with the same fabric bunching at the arms and the delivery person told us it would "settle out" in a few days. it didn't. The chair is brand new and looks 25 years old. The new couch came last Wednesday and we loved it. Today however, we noticed a 3 inch stripe of discoloration/fading running down the middle of the chase cushion (see attached picture). it just appeared out of nowhere and it runs the full length of the cushion. in all our years we've never had this much trouble with furniture. We bought from Ethan Allen years ago and were very happy with our purchase, so we felt confident in going back to them. We are very disappointed with this experience and though my wife is willing to somehow work this all out, I want to return everything and start over with a different company. The back and forth is ridiculous and clearly, at least to us, the quality of this company's furniture is sorely lacking. if you are considering Ethan Allen, do so at your own risk. i would not recommend them and I'm hopeful we will be able to return everything, get our money back and start fresh with a more reputable furniture store. Lesson learned.

I was surprised at the variety of styles. The range is from transitional to modern. I worked with Darnell Carter. He was professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with given his easy going presence. He guided gently and never pushed. He has been in the business for a long time bringing expertise to all discussions while understanding my personal taste. His memory and attention to detail were also noted and appreciated. This location has a pretty large inventory ranging from furniture (living room, dining, desks), home decor, curtains, rugs, beer and wine, imported food, jewelry, kitchenware, gift items, etc. The shopping center parking lot is a hot mess though. Especially on the weekends, there seem to be more customers than parking spaces. Plus since there is only one way in and out, and the street has no designated turn lane, it causes a bottleneck on entering and exiting. Heck it even takes awhile to walk from the parking lot into the shop because the cars just don't seem to want to stop for pedestrians. Too busy jockeying for a space.
