1 Star Absolutely do NOT take your vehicle to Goose Creek Auto. I took my 1993 classic Mercedes here, and it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. While under their care, my car was completely mishandled and damaged due to their incompetence and negligence. The hood was destroyed, and not only did they fail to fix the original issue I brought it in for, but they caused thousands of dollars in additional damage. After this disaster, I had to call over 15 different mechanics before I could find someone qualified to repair the damage they caused. It ended up costing me $7,000 just to replace the hood--and that still didn't fix the actual problem. Their management and staff are unskilled, unprofessional, and clearly not trained to handle classic or specialty vehicles. I wouldn't trust this shop to even change my oil, let alone touch a vintage car. If you care about your vehicle, your time, or your money--stay far away from Goose Creek Auto. We took our Mercedes E350 to Goose Creek Automotive for maintenance. We quickly discovered damaged to the front of the hood after Chanteau pulled the car up for us to take delivery, which was after we paid for services. Chanteau, Scott, Royce & Thomas agreed to repair damage. We did not agree because they would "touch-up" ONLY damaged area. And could not guarantee the paint would match the rest of the hood or quarter panels. We requested that they use their insurance and that we take the car to a authorized Mercedes repair center. Goose Creek declined stating their insurance deductible would be too expensive. We took our vehicle to Caldwell Collision Mercedes Benz Factory Certified Center and received an estimate for $4,119.59. read more

About a month ago my husband and I brought our car into their shop to help us with an electrical issue. The car is a Mercedes (which they claim to be a specialist at fixing, this it what they say on their website) and they assured us that they could diagnose and fix the problem. After waiting about a week we called them to ask what progress had been made on the issue. They told us their only mechanic that works on mercedes can only work on certain nights. After over 3 weeks of waiting they finally called us and let us know that it was ready to be picked up. We went in, paid $1700, and left to drive home. Within 5 minutes of driving, we noticed that there were new electrical issues, different than the ones that we had originally brought the car in for. We turned around and took it back to them to let them know about our new issues. When we returned they worked on the car again for another 1.5 hours. After he was done we drove home and all was good. The next morning when I went to drive the car, there was the same set of electrical issues present as when they fixed it the second time. We called them immediately and they said to "bring it in and we will take a peek at it, it will only take a couple of more days". 7 days later I called and asked about the car and they said that they were able to fix the issue for another $600 but could NOT guarantee that this will be the end all solution. We decided not to have them perform this potential repair. In order to remove the car from thier premise we had to pay $278 (we were told we could only pay cash or debit) or else we would not be able to have the car back. We reculantley paid the money to get our car back and the same electrical issues were still present. At this point we've paid almsot $2000 and the car still has the problems that were created AFTER we paid the $1700 and it still needs to be repaired else where. I advise against using these folks to get your car issues serviced. They have not been good at communicating with us and only let us know of any issues when it comes time for them to get paid. They told us both times when we paid them that "this isnt too much to pay, it can be more expensive". To me as a paying customer being told that almost $2000 isnt a lot of money is incredibly rude and almsot mocking of my situation. read more

We brought a classic Benz to Goose Creek to address some engine issues, including a rough idle. The service writer completely misinterpreted the request. We had asked to be kept informed of progress and findings. We had to proactively call to get updates over the course of 3 weeks. Finally, we requested to pick up the car since very little seemed to have been done on it. After hundreds of dollars later, the car actually ran worse than when we brought it in! Additionally, our car had been driven over 160+ miles (the car was brought there with 3/4 of a tank of gas and returned on empty). It's hard to believe that a car would have been "test drven" that much. Completely unacceptable business conduct. read more

I have taken my SL500 there on three occasions. While they are NOT the least expensive around the work was done correctly, on time, and at the price quoted. My only issue is the lady at the check in counter is not at all friendly or helpful, and on my last repair something was left loose that now rattles and they show no willingness to find and fix the rattle. read more
