Security should be important for all customers cars especially when they are park on the outside of the repair shop. They are busy so you will have to wait a few days for the repairs to be completed. They weren't able to fix the situation and they advised me to take the truck to a dealership or to an electrical mechanic. So I went to Victory Chevrolet in Mt. Holly and the service advisor told me that I shouldn't waste any money in the vehicle because it was old and smelled liked mold, mildew and had the worst water damage he's ever seen. Needless to say I was disheartened and didn't know what to do so I looked up mechanics in the Belmont and Mount Holly area. This is where I came across R&M Auto Center, their reviews were almost perfect so I called them up and the front desk was very helpful, professional and pleasant. She set up an appointment for me relatively soon. When I arrived, I spoke with Cameron and explained the situation in detail with the brake lights, the driver's window not going down and locks not working. He assured me that it would be taken care of. He also reiterated that the diagnostics fee was $103 and if they didn't resolve the issue in the first 45 or hour then there would be an additional charge for each additional hour. I left my vehicle overnight and when they call me back the next day, to let me know what the issue was, I was worried but Leslie explained that they found the issue and it was a simple fix for the brake lights. I was extremely happy about the price because I was thinking the worst. They finished my vehicle and did my inspection as well in a timely manner. When I picked up my vehicle I was surprised that the driver's window worked and the locks on the truck worked as well and yes the brake lights were fixed. They took care of everything and didn't try to exploit the situation. Overall, I would definitely recommend R & M Auto Center for your vehicle's repairs because they are truly honest, upfront and do great work on your vehicle for a very fair price.

Long story short, he explained the problems with my car IN DETAIL and the cost associated with everything, before they ever started any repairs. He's a guy that understands that when you ask someone to spend $700+ to fix their car, they will have questions and concerns. But then... he went a step above. He called me back and told me that SURPRISE! The repairs would cost LESS than what he quoted me on the phone. Less. Did you hear me? I said LESS. He could VERY easily had just charged me what he originally quoted, but he explained that they were able to refurbish a part that they were going to replace, and saved me about $130. How many times can you say that you went into a car repair expecting to spend a certain amount, and because of the skillfullness and kindness of the technician, they SAVED you money. That's what makes it a 5-star experience. He also honored a $50 off coupon that had expired. Top notch customer service. Very knowledgeable, very friendly. Will always take my car here, always.

Extremely disappointing experience and even worse management…read more I had my oil changed at Firestone Auto Care, and what happened afterward was completely unacceptable. After the oil change, my vehicle began leaking oil consistently, approximately every 30 seconds. Thankfully, I took my car to a Volkswagen specialist, who immediately identified the issue. I was told that the drain plug is supposed to be replaced with each oil change, but Firestone had reused my drain plug and failed to seal it properly. The leak was bad enough that the Volkswagen specialist had to add oil back into my vehicle just so I could safely drive it home and return to Firestone. There was oil and grease all underneath my engine and spilled throughout the oil pan area. My car then had to be completely degreased underneath because of the mess caused by the improper oil change. What made this experience even worse was how I was treated when I returned to Firestone. Rather than taking responsibility for the situation, the manager was extremely rude and was yelling at me in the middle of the store (conveniently while no other customers were in the waiting area). He told me he would not provide any kind of refund for the service but would offer me a free oil change. When I explained that, after this experience, I had absolutely no intention of ever having my vehicle serviced there again, he became even more confrontational and told me he wasn't going to take care of someone who wasn't a customer. He also repeatedly argued that Firestone had done nothing wrong and that the drain plug doesn't have to be replaced each time. That is incredibly frustrating considering the entire reason I was standing there was because the oil change had not been completed properly in the first place, resulting in a significant oil leak and creating a situation that could have potentially caused serious engine damage had I not caught it in time. He even tried to argue that I lied about the situation because I previously failed my car inspection there due to a check engine light malfunction... even though I thoroughly explained the check engine light was completely separate from the oil leak according to the diagnostics performed by the Volkswagen servicer. He repeatedly interrupted me, cut me off, and was incredibly unprofessional. I made a sarcastic comment regarding the "excellent" customer service and he laughed at me, clapped his hands, and walked away from me. Not sure how this man is qualified to run a business. Perhaps that's why his staff thinks it's okay to take shortcuts. The "free services" they provided afterward were not some generous gesture. They were necessary because the original service was not done correctly! Mistakes can happen, but when a mistake involves something as critical as properly securing and sealing an oil drain plug, the response should be accountability, concern for the customer's vehicle, and an effort to make things right -- not yelling at the customer and insisting nothing went wrong. As a female, it's already intimidating to advocate for what you need in regard to your vehicle. Being spoken down to and yelled at for asking a question is beyond me. I trusted Firestone with basic maintenance on my vehicle, and after this experience, I will never be returning. I would strongly encourage anyone considering having their vehicle serviced here to reconsider. If you take the chance, make sure the work is done correctly and thoroughly checked before leaving.
