Lovely little small cafe! Quick service, and excellent coffee drinks. I tried their Omelet with mushrooms, cheddar, and baked ham. It was very good. Really enjoyed their toast as well - nothing spectacular, just well done. My other family members tried their Irish breakfast platter and their French Toast. No complaints at all from any of us. My cappuccino was perfect - they gave me sugar, but it was perfectly balanced. If you are in the area, highly recommend! Their inside seating is limited (maybe 10 seats) so be mindful of this.

Fantastic little spot that serves amazing crepes, wraps, sandwiches, and soups. It was the only place we went to twice on our trip. The service was fast and friendly with a charming ambience that just added to the experience.

Late breakfast on Sunday morning. About 25 seats, so can have lineup, but worth it. Diverse breakfast menu...French crepes, American pancakes, potato fritters, omelettes, eggs...French crepe with mushrooms (veg) was quite good. Worth the short wait.

What a quaint, delicious place for breakfast! On our last morning in Dublin, we came here for a casual breakfast and are glad we did. Early on a Friday morning, our party of four was able to get a table immediately - but it is a small place, so I can see it filling up quickly on the weekends. We all started with coffee - which was delicious - and they offer non-dairy milk options. Then, three of us opted for the Italian crepe and one person got the french toast. We all enjoyed our meal and had a hard time picking which crepe flavor to order. Service was pleasant and quick, without feeling rushed!

This place was okay, nothing fabulous. I had the Citron Crepe, and my husband had the Brekkie Crepe, with an Americano and tea. The Citron had a good lemony flavor, but the Brekkie was pretty flavorless unfortunately. The ambience is cool, but cramped.

Great little place for brunch. Had amazing gluten free crepes - savory and sweet available. Yummy chai too!

The crepes are amazing and LARGE! We had the ham and cheese and the Mexican. Highly recommend this small quaint place!

Open early so if you're struggling to find a place, this is it. The Irish breakfast hits the spot - the buttery toast was heavenly and the blood sausage was my favorite part - hearty and delicious. It also came with sausage, sunny side up egg, sweet beans and ham. The service is like none other from the minute you walk in, you feel like you're at an old friends place and as you leave, they give you recommendations and a list of local bars and hangouts that Irish people love. When I go back to Dublin, I'm definitely going back here for breakfast.

Maybe sarcastic but not rude. What was annoying was them telling everyone their credit card machine would be down and then you'd have to wash dishes or stay until it came back up. They did this to the table next to us but then came back and seemed like it was a joke and was like "oh it's back up." When it came time for us to pay they said it was down and needed to pay cash. We pushed back a little and said you've literally said that to everyone then the guy became rude. So we get out cash and go to pay and he's like oh I'm restarting the machine you can pay by card. That was annoying. Other than that place was small and quaint. Serves traditional Irish breakfast items. Food was good, just don't expect anything to be favorable. Food in general in Ireland is very bland.

Sunken below street level it feels more off the main path and you have to keep your eyes out to find it easily. Walking in the place has a real chill and cozy vibe up front. I was seated right way and ordered off their all day menu. I got their Double Baked eggs, brown soda bread, bacon, sausage and roast tomato. For my tastes the double baked eggs were overdone, but that's double baked for you. Everything else was so delicious though that I truly didn't even notice. It was a wonderful pile of meat overflowing out of a little skillet with a stack of soda bread and butter. Truly it was a delight. I also ordered up their irish coffee. This was especially fun because it's not a simple shot of whiskey, coffee and cream. They create a brown sugar syrup blended with the whiskey to cook off the alcohol but retain the flavor. This means you can day drink and not even bat an eye at it being strange. The flavor was delicious and I'll be trying to recreate this at home for sure.

I walked in on a Wednesday morning, right as they opened at 9am, and was seated immediately. The sit-in part of Brother Hubbard is bright, relaxing, spacious with plenty of tables inside and there's a patio outside with plenty of tables as well. The waitress came over with a menu and gave me plenty of time to look it over. She was very courteous and pleasant, checking in throughout my time there, never hovering. For breakfast, I ordered an Americano, a ginger scone, and their Irish Oat Porridge - Classic. Their porridge is organic oats made with milk and with ordering it as "Classic", it was served with cream and honey. Starting with the ginger scone, this was another case of a perfectly baked scone - Crispy, golden exterior with a moist, buttery interior. The flavor of ginger was perfectly balanced and the raisins inside were a nice supplement to the scone. The porridge was really good, I loved the creaminess of it! Both did a nice job of filling me up and setting me up for the day of walking to come. Funny enough, around 3:30pm, I stopped here again to grab a mid-afternoon treat and ordered the chocolate and hazelnut Babka, their soft bun filled with chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. This pastry was crazy tasty! A slightly crispy exterior with a croissant-like inside chocked full of chocolate and those toasted hazelnuts. This was so rich and truly decadent. Brother Hubbard is a gem of a breakfast and pastry spot! I appreciate the relaxing café environment with friendly staff and high-quality food. Brother Hubbard is a solid spot for breakfast and brunch, serving entrees, lighter fare and offers a pastry assortment that will have you pondering about getting takeout. I visited Brother Hubbard on a Sunday, half an hour after it opened and was able to be seated immediately. However, the brunch rush came afterwards and by the time I left, the entire place was filled. It's popular. And yes, it's the same spot Phil Rosenthal ate at. I even saw the owner who was featured on the show here, helping out with clearing tables and so forth. I ordered the traditional Irish breakfast and an iced chai latte. The food was good and actually, not as heavy as I anticipated. It came with an egg, sausage, bacon, beans and a pudding, which I had to look up. It's ground meat with oats and is molded into a patty. It didn't taste bad, so can see why it's served around these parts of the world. And the meal also came with another item I had to look up, colcannon bread, which was a potato bread with kale. And it was my favorite part of the breakfast! Delicious. If you're looking for a breakfast spot in Dublin, then I'm pretty sure you already know about Brother Hubbard, which is popular, all for good reason. The food was tasty, service was friendly and I loved how bright and welcoming the restaurant was. I was satisfied.
