Been wanting to try this restaurant and went on a Friday night with a group of friends. We ordered the set and some dishes a la carte. It was my first time eating bbq intestines and it tasted better than I expected. Our server was really friendly and gave us different candies to try at the end.

Got the B set menu and 2 orders of the fried rice for 5 people. The service is great, there's a good amount of banchan, and the meat is delicious. They don't rush the grilling and are good about ensuring the complete cook time (which is extra important for gopchang)! There's plenty of seating, but the booths are ideal for max party size of 5-6 since I think most of the tables only have one grill.

I'll preface this by saying that I know that a truly authentic experience such as, apparently, this, isn't for the faint of heart. With that said, I wasn't bothered by the items on the menu - essentially nothing but offal, in intestines, stomach meat, and cow heart. It just wasn't terribly tasty, even with the modest array of sauces/oils provided by the restaurant. This is probably due to them using parts of the cow that aren't fatty, but other than the particular chewiness of the grilled meat, and the visuals, I just didn't enjoy the meal very much. The bonchon wasn't to my liking - outside of the kimchi, maybe - though I couldn't quite put my finger on why. Nothing stood out as being particularly good. On top of that, it was rather expensive (with tip, about $40 per person - with water). I'm sure there are immigrants and children of immigrants who want the real thing. I'm not one of them, though, and if you're not, you probably won't enjoy this experience. The interior was sort of dumpy, as well, with Kpop being played (but not syncing with the videos on their several televisions) pretty loudly. The service was attentive, I'll say, but that would be the lone positive I can muster. I'm an adventurous eater. I wasn't disturbed by what was on the menu. It just wasn't an experience worth repeating for me, and chances are, it isn't one to attempt the first time for you.

Excited to have a gopchang place on Buford highway. Got the combo A so that we got to try the different kinds. The menu had a lot of other things we would like to go back and try. The meat seemed to have a cleaner taste and not as greasy as the other places we went to. The banchan was a bit limited, but had the basics and was good. Service was good. It was a bit slow on getting a table when we walked in cause it seemed like it was just 2 guys working, once we got a table they were great.

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Gopchang on Fire. Typically, I'm more of a Hwangso Gopchang person, but my sister is a bigger fan of Gopchang on Fire so we decided to check this place out. This location sits at the former Hello Chicken area on Buford Hwy, right next to Mozart Bakery. It's definitely the biggest location out of the three they have, and this is extremely convenient for the folks who want gopchang but live closer to downtown. The menu is the same as the two locations -- we always order the set menu, that comes with gopchang (small intestines), daechang (large intestines), makchang, yeomtong and some other things. We also ordered the fried rice, which I was SO surprised at how good it was. There were a few reaons that I preferred Hwangso over Gopchang on Fire, but my thoughts were changed after coming here. 1) The Daechang - Hwangso's daechang is not cut up, so it has more fat making it more flavorful. Gopchang on Fire, on the other hand cuts it up which I didn't prefer. But when we went this time, the daechang had some light marinade on it that made it extremely flavorful. Also, because it was cut up, it didn't feel as greasy and heavy so I could keep on chomping it down. 2) Soybean Powder - So... it's a given that you need to dip your gopchang and daechang in the soybean powder, and Hwangso gave that out. Gopchang on Fire on the other hand used to not give it out, but now they do upon request -- and I may like Gopchang on Fire's powder even better. Has more of a subtly sweet flavor that I prefer. Gopchang on Fire also wins on the flavor of the fried rice. I don't know what it is, but the fried rice there is just sooooo good. Overall - I had an AMAZING meal. Service was also great. I live near Suwanee, but I liked it so much to the point that I definitely want to come back. I hope they do well in the Doraville area and I can't wait to come back!

They were super accommodating to our little one as well!!

I think gopchang on fire is the best place for gopchang in general but this location out of the 3 is phenomenal!! Very clean, spacious, and the ambiance was great. Looks absolutely beautiful inside. Everything was delicious and the intestines were cooked to perfection. The quality is up to par with service and taste and we'll definitely be coming back for more! Thank you guys for making Doraville the best foodie spot in Atl

Great food and service every time. Love the lightly marinated intestine and the accompany ban chan. I stop here at least once a month.

Really aesthetic looking space with amazing friendly staff with great recs! We ordered a couple drinks - everyone enjoyed what they got, whether it was a beer, soju flight, makgeolli, or cocktail. There is some space inside to dine in or study, as well as outdoor seating. It has a quirky and eccentric vibe. The service was friendly and quick... food came out super fast! We got the Coconut Ube Latte, KFC Sando, and Hashbrown. I took a bite of the KFC Sando and was blown away at how good it tasted. The chicken was fried to perfection and very meaty. I enjoyed the pickles, which tasted a bit like cucumber kimchi. The spicy mayo was also tasty. Toward the end of my meal, the chicken started tasting a bit too much like meat and it was a bit off putting, but other than that it was still a delicious sandwich. The hashbrown was nothing special. The Coconut Ube Latte was beautifully presented, but it tasted a bit heavy. I think there was too much milk and it ended up tasting like chocolate milk with no hint of ube. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would come back to try other items on the menu. I also want to try their alcohol!

It seems like maybe the ownership changed b/c the same Korean servers I used to see are not there anymore. When we went, all the servers were non-Asian - very nice though. Also they only offer 4 banchan (most Korean restaurants serve 7 banchan) - only 2 were Korean (kimchi and bean sprouts); the other 2 - macaroni salad and green beans. HAEMUL JJAMPONG KALGUKSU - $16 Noodles were good (not handmade), broth was ok, and seafood comprised squid, mussels (no shell), clams, and 2 shrimp. Other dishes - tried my friends' Chicken Tenders which I found on the bland side. They also got the bulgogi and spicy pork bowls for $13 each - which was just meat, rice, and salad. The plates (vs bowls) might be more interesting. No hurry to come back but nice to know if I'm looking for a Korean spot that isn't crowded, this is the place to go.

Came on 7/7/2026 for dinner with my boyfriend to celebrate my 1 year work anniversary at my job! We…read moredid the bbq this time since our first time here we had the regular dinner. Service was amazing! At first it took a second for someone to get our order, but after that everything was smooth. Workers were very friendly, attentive, and engaging. We ordered the Yangnyeom Galbi and the Beef Brisket. Both meats were incredibly tender and cooked perfectly. Our server cooked for us the entire dinner and watched the grill the entire time - very attentive! He would also check with us if the meat was cooked to how we wanted. The sauces pair great with the meats. I'm Korean so I really like the sesame oil salt with the brisket. What surprised me was their Chimichurri sauce! Was not expecting it at all but it was incredibly flavorful and surprisingly paired well with the galbi. The chimichurri was my boyfriend's favorite sauce. I think the galbi was extremely tender, however did wish it had just a bit more of the marinade flavor. We are curious to try the LA Galbi next time. Now for the side dishes. I wish the broccoli had some more salt, but everything was fresh. I enjoyed the kimchi since it didn't have any anchovy flavor, but there are some people like the more fishy flavor. Salad was refreshing. The soybean soup had the perfect amount of spice & the vegetables inside were generous chunks which I enjoy. Rice was also fluffy - not too wet & not too dry. The corn cheese was fine and so were the bean sprouts. I will say that the egg had a fishy flavor to it, could be fish sauce ? but we weren't a fan of the egg. I love that this is an authentic Korean bbq place because they give you Sujeonggwa as a dessert after your meal! My boyfriend loved it because he's Hispanic and it reminds him of horchata since it has cinnamon. Haven't had it in so long, was a pleasant surprise Overall I think we had a great experience. I used to come here when I was a lot younger but it's my second time back as an adult. Nostalgic and tasty , we will be back to try the la galbi

We asked for ice for our diet cooks and never got it until we asked a second time. The food was good, but did not receive our egg rolls. We wanted to keep a menu to order more but for some reason, they didn't like us keeping menus. We told the servers we would like to keep one to order more but it was taken away. That's fine. Service needs to improve, we push the button to get our check, but nope, no one came to help. We had to flag down the gentleman at the register to get our check. We won't be back.
