    A3. Fried Dumpling

We had a large group meet here for dinner. I am not sure if we got lucky or someone had made reservations but we got the space in the back corner just for us. We got seated as soon as the majority of the table arrived and there was enough space for a stroller too, which is a plus. We shared a variety of their dishes including the Shrimp, Mongolian beef, pan fried dumplings, pork dumplings, seafood noodle soup, black bean soup, salad & pepper fried squid. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes and portions. Staff were attentive and efficient. Overall, we had a good experience. But I would have to admit that I have had better food elsewhere with slightly cheaper prices too. Even so, it is a worthwhile spot to try out!

Ordered takeout so can't speak to service or ambiance much. Got the jajangmyun, jampong, tangsuyuk, stir fried chinese broccoli and mapo tofu! Enjoyed the spinach noodles and garlicky broccoli. Did appreciate food felt lighter and not as heavy. Unfortunately other things fell short like the fried pork being quite dry lacking the chewiness we usually get with that as well as the mapo tofu leaning more sweet than spicy.

Ok...so until recently I did not actively post reviews. However, after relying on some reviews that may have been biased I decided to just mention what I think. Not a professional, just saying what I think tastes good for the $. I have been eating here for probably over +20 years...used to be one of the only acceptable (taste-wise) place for Korean black bean noodles and the Korean spicy seafood noodle (my Seoul opinion...haha). Today in Atlanta...there are so many options for Korean-Chinese food. But the OG, for me, is still Man Chung Hong just a bit outside 285. Actually, to be honest, it does depend on the day/night and chef I think. A few times, disappointed with the food. Flirted with some other places but..end of day...Man Chun is my Man...it has always been my standby for black bean noodles, Jjajangmyeon 짜장면 and Jjamppong 짬뽕. Also they have a combo that is probably one of the BEST deals in ATL! Both of the noodle dishes and the sweet and sour pork...best deal for $. Had delivery tonight that was amazing so had to write. After like 20 years...still so good! FYI...ordered combo and also extra seafood black bean noodle. Picture may be from the separate black bean noodle dish. The regular one does not have shrimp I do not think. Really good.

My wife and I went on an excursion to Buford Highway. We ate an amazing lunch here. This is the most flavorful Ja Jang Myun that I've ever had (granted I'm not a connoisseur like some of you may be), and the tempura batter for the sweet & sour pork was excellent. The hot & sour soup also exhibited great depth of flavor, though I have to say that I'm not used to black pepper being so prevalent. Inside, the restaurant is clean and modern, and the facilities are well attended to. Our server made it a point to constantly pass by to see if we needed anything, but in a way that was unobtrusive; to clarify, he passed by quietly if my wife and I were talking, then responded quickly if we tried to get his attention. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.

Beautiful ambiance!!! I had the Mongolian chicken and it was so good I forgot to take a picture! Despite having three parties 10 + people the service was great and our waiter was very attentive and informed us with realistic expectations and apologies for any delays. I will be back to try some of the other black Bean sauced delicacies.

This was a great Yelp find. Gave it a try with the family & will definitely be back. The menu of really big with lots of options. We ordered the boiled dumplings & they were good with a nice dipping sauce, The mongolian beef was outstanding & like other reviews have said - not your typical americanized version of a classic. The beef was so tender & the sauce was very flavorful. We had 2 other pork dishes....one we thought was going to be 1/2 fried rice 1/2 glass noodles but was all noodles. the pork was like a julienne cut with tender veggies. The other pork dish was also julienne cut with red & green bell peppers with a nice black pepper kick. This dish was served with 4 sweet buns. We will definitely be back & try some other dishes, Portion size is nice & perfect for sharing. Excellent service.

A really solid place if you're craving both Korean and Chinese food! Plus the portions and huge and the staff is really nice. And they put a lot of effort into packing your stuff for takeaway like only closing certain containers when you arrive so nothing is soggy and making sure everything is stable which I loved. As for the food itself, everything was delicious. The tangsuyuk was crispy and hot and the sweet and sour sauce was so good with it. The broth for the sizzling rice soup also really hit the spot but the rice puffs were ok. And the jjajjangmyun was delicious but their noodles were really the highlight of the dish, they were cooked perfectly so the texture was just so good.

A Feast fit for Kings and Queens!

As a first generation Korean, it is rare for me to be wowed by any Korean or Chinese-Korean restaurants in US, but Man Chun Hong did it for me and continues to wow me each time I visit. Their seafood Jja Jjang Myun takes me back to Korea and the fact they have spinach noodles makes it even better!! On our most recent visit, I was too busy to take pics of the food alone, but luckily, I have a couple of photos from that day and you can see we had a feast. Oh BTW, if you want the regular Chinese dish, pls do not miss out on Mongolian Beef; the quality of the beef is incredible and it literally melts in your mouth. The service was fantastic, the ambience of the resto is so modern and clean and they even have a very affordable yet great tasing wine menu! You must give this hidden gem a try; you will be wanting to go back the moment you leave the restaurant!

    짜장면 (jjajangmyeon)
    Chelsea G.

We came here specifically for the jjajangmyeon 짜장면. Everything was family-style in size so we ordered 4 dishes and shared amongst the table. Nothing was disappointing. Things you should know: I. PARKING Man Chun Hong is within a small plaza off Buford Highway and shares a free private parking lot with the adjacent businesses. It can get pretty crowded on the weekend II. SERVICE Kind and considerate. Our host gave us seating options and the server was good about filling up our waters. III. QUALITY Great..! The portions are huge with everything we ordered so family style is the move here. IV. CAPACITY Fairly busy for a Saturday evening, but the food still comes out at a reasonable time.

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.

But their wonton was a hit and I crave more. The restaurant is nicely preserved in time I feel. There are so many celebrities with photos who have come and gone from this world. Parking: For anyone coming here for any occasion make sure you validate your parking with the restaurant. The ONLY parking lot they validate is the one right beside the restaurant! Drinks: I got the strawberry lemon drop drink. It was good and did come with the vodka flavor with natural strawberry syrup. It was good. The vegetable dumpling was good! On to the main entree was the House Lo Mein. It was just average and not the greatest I've tried. It took a minute before our server came back. To me it needed more flavor, seasoning and it didn't have any spice what's so ever! I wouldn't get it again. The thing I found annoying/unprofessional was the staff taking forever to give me and my friend out checks. We came into the establishment an hour before they closed. At that time a lot of people were still in the place. However, by the time we received our checks we were the last people in their establishment. The other individuals were the workers cleaning up. We tried to get a server to come to our table sooner but wasn't successful. This is my sole opinion but I wasn't over impressed over food.

Cucumber salad had a nice balanced heat and was a heaping amount. Slightly too much oil in the marinade weighed it down. Pork dumplings were boiled so there was not a fried option. A huge portion and even taste. The dipping sauce was too spicy for our party so we switched to soy sauce instead. Would recommend the edamame because they give you a large portion making this worth it. Beef noodle soup with extra beef (accidentally ordered by our party). Large chunks of beef that wasn't dried out and well seasoned. The star was the flat noodles which had a wholesome taste and good amount of chewiness that hits the palate well. The sour and hot lamb dumpling soup was just okay. Again, big portion but seasoning was a little lacking. Had a good portion of glass noodles and bean sprouts. The sauce again was a little too much on the oily side so I don't think I'd order this again. The customer service was also not very personable. I didn't like the ordering on their screen. It made it a little confusing adding items and turned into us ordering more than we wanted, each time with a surcharge. Tipping is optional. Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more.
