I've sold and bought several homes and this was the worst mortgage broker/lender I've dealt with. The buyer used Go Rascal and UWM and ultimately fell through after multiple extensions were granted. Poor communication (will know in 20 minutes and no reply for several days after) and aside from all the normal pre approval they claimed to have, couldn't even give a closing date - nevermind actually close a deal in 3 months! read more

We were working with Jonathan Esposito and Gaston Gonzalez. Spoke to Jonathan initially after which we were dealing with Gaston both were very pleasant. We got nowhere with this team however. Everything took so incredibly long. Eventually we got pre-approved but we never got to see any actual numbers. I asked several times but everything just felt so wishy washy. Gaston eventually stopped getting back to us completely and Jonathan never bothered to check up on us after that initial conversation. When buying a home there are few people who are really looking out for your best interest - the other seller just wants to push to close, the brokers on the seller and buyer side just want to push to the fastest possible close, the lawyers for the fastest possible close - everyone gets paid on close and not anything else. That often pushes you to find the fastest, but necessarily the best, mortgage program. Scott and his team behaved differently - there was urgency when needed and patience when required. They got us exactly the product we needed. Working with Scott and his team may not be a whole different experience for everyone, but if you're looking to understand the process and control it, I haven't come across a better broker team to work with after interviewing half a dozen others.
