We need to move to Long Island, New York. However, my son's favorite middle school in Long Island required us to provide a real estate lease contract to complete registration before the school starts. Time is short. Despite my good credit record, I am an international student without a social security number and cannot meet many apartment rental requirements in a short time. When I found the apartment information on the Zillow, I called Phil immediately depended on the contact information. He gave me a prompt response, although he had received an offer. He quickly replied to all my questions and promised to give me a chance. English is not my native language; he overcame all the difficulties to communicate with me patiently and helped me. We texted more than 100 messages! He was very efficient in arranging my deal in a short time after the landlord agreed to lease the apartment to me. It was almost impossible, so that I could complete the handover and check-in of the apartment, and my son could complete the registration and went to school as scheduled. He did an excellent job in the whole transaction and considered all the details carefully. Both the landlord and I feel satisfied. Even I signed the contract to move in, I found that the 28 years old refrigerator in the apartment was too old, broken, but still able to work. I told him frustratedly. Phil Raices is the best realtor I have ever met and with whom I have had the pleasure to work. Phil sold my parent's house back in 1996, when no other realtor would touch it. He came in and helped them clean up the house, got it ready for showing, gave emotional support, and sold their house. When it came time to sell my house in 2014, (knowing how terrific Phil was, but being swayed by friends who said to go with a realtor who had a great closing record), I went with the other realtor. He was very knowledgable in the surrounding area and he quickly gave us a few listing that we might be of interest. One Coop listing stood out the best and we gave Phillip the thumbs up. I recently got hired at a nearby hospital and needed to get an apartment within 2 weeks of the offer notice. I know nothing about the surrounding area and was anxious about not being able to find somewhere I'd feel comfortable in. I looked online through Craigslist, zillow, and other websites and made a couple of appointments in great neck and other neighboring areas. Initially I was hesitant about going through a realty service and brokers. Compared to all the other apartments I saw with other realtors, Phil Raices was the most personable and didn't seem like he was trying to sell anything. Prior to showing some apartments, he sent me an email with pictures and detailed information of several listings available in Great Neck with prices and what was included in the building, and followed up to confirm we were meeting. After not being able to see the first apartment, he showed me a great one bedroom that I ended up signing a lease for - reasonable price, laundry in building and renovated appliances. I saw the apartment on Saturday and got confirmation that I was approved on Monday. I was able to sign the lease on Thursday and get the keys to the apartment a week before I originally asked for. If you're looking for an apartment in the area, I would highly recommend Mr. Raices and his team. They are quick, efficient, detail oriented and accommodating. Mr. Raices even gave me information about things to do and see in the area.
