When we visited there was a film in the special exhibit room, and another film in the larger room. Both were informative. The battlefield trail also has a few benches throughout and a few signs to read. Part of the trail is paved, part is gravel. Total trail length was about a mile, mostly a flag and easy walk. There are signs posted around town about a meeting to discuss what I perceive to be improvement s to the park. This would be a great spot to place different amusements for kids such as swings, slides, monkey bars, etc. This is only one of two parks that I know of that are federally compliant. Federal law requires public parks to be able to facilitate complete access to all of these places pinpointing the physically disadvantaged! Just a few amenities for children ( along with some updated rules ) would be nice. A new playground available to all children would bring a lot of much needed business to the Main Street area. It's a win, win, for the city!

The bathrooms up by the parking lot were easily accessible, and the ramp down to the playground was easy. Great picnic or family spot too! My small kids had no problem making it through. There are multiple spots to access the trails and two playgrounds, bench swings, picnic tables, park benches all along the trail and restrooms. You can take the nature trail and enjoy the shaded hike. The only issue I had is that you can lose the trail near the edge of the park. If you hit the power lines, you've gone too far! Great place!
