I was just inspected a few months ago in RI - have always brought my car to the dealer for all servicing and have followed the recommended schedule from Subaru and have done every suggested item my dealer has suggested. I was just at the dealer for 4 new tires (recommended) a wheel alignment, and oil service. I'm assuming the inspection will be a lay-up. Not so fast. The expertise here noted some movement in the rear right suspension - and for $750 they'd be happy to fix it. Having just had the car looked at - and no such problem noted - I opted to go back to my dealer with what they folks at VIP cited. I asked them to fix if there was a problem. My dealer called me and said - we don't mind fixing something that is broke - but you don't have any problems with your rear right suspension. I asked that to be put in writing - they said no problem. I called VIP and informed them. They asked to see it in writing and then I would be issued my inspection sticker. I had to schedule a new appointment fot this meeting - and when I arrived - lo and behold - my Subaru authorized dealer's written word was not acceptable. I had an authorized Subaru dealer with certified subaru mechanics review the car. They stated in writing that the car met all Subaru requirements and there was no excessive wear in any of the suspension. I presented this paper to them. Nope, not good enough - they know better. They imply in words and actions that they know Subaru standards better than a subaru dealer and their certified mechanics. They suggest I find another dealer - a not so nice man in beard just about threatened me and stormed off when I stated they went back on their word. Well - I am opting for a different place to complete the inspection. I will never, ever, ever recommend this place to anyone. In fact - I will go out of my way to share this experience with anyone and everyone. You can't fix dumb - and then toss in stubborn and ignorant. Best of luck to anyone who goes to this place.

    I bought a van locally that had just been fully inspected and brakes serviced by Wells River Chevy…read more Their brake work was done INCORRECTLY and it caused a ton of damage (3k worth). I got stranded and had to have it repaired by a Ford dealership so I could safely get home before the ice storm that was coming. The Ford dealership put in writing that the damage was consistent with Wells River Chevy Dealership's mistake, and I have all repair invoices, photos, and documentation. This dealership is refusing to take responsibility or reimburse me for their negligence. I am lucky I was not seriously injured due to their mistake. They have left me with no other option than to pursue legal recourse. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE.

They have given me multiple reasons to why they won't. All of them involved me purposely sabotaging my truck. That was over four months ago. My truck is still locked in one of their bays. I don't have $9100 dollars to fix it because I'm still making my monthly payments on the truck. I am currently working with a lawyer but I don't see an end in site. I am now being threatened with legal recourse because if my post regarding this issue. In my opinion it's just another example of big business steam rolling over the little guy because let's face it. They have all the money There is a lot more of this story I haven't posted. I feel as though the sales people are actually very honest and helpful. However it's my opinion that if you need any service or repairs your better off driving an extra hour or two. I have one star only because I apparently have to give one. I'd just assume give them a negative star rating

    brought my car in to get tires changed, the offered the free multipoint inspection which was…read moreamazing and they changed my tires. thats about where the good ends. I pick the car up and I get told all 4 of my brakes need to be changed as they are "metal to metal all around". i knew that was not true because no way did all 4 pads go bad on the car after having brakes done all around less than 5K miles prior. fast forward to having a different mechanic look at it and one corner was bad due to a stuck caliper. all other pads were just about brand new. would recommend for tires but be very cautious of being upsold a service you don't need

I dropped my car off to get my winter tires put on, oil change & wheel alignment.... It was at 11:00 am... waited for a call like usual never got one..they close at 4:00 pm.. 3:30 I called only to be told I was called many times.. I asked him what number.. he claimed he was given the wrong cell number..Being a 10 year customer I know my information is in the system.. when questioned about that I was told they upgraded to a new system 2 years ago.. my response was I'd taken both of my cars there within that time frame.. So lies!! After all that I was presented with a 300.00 plus bill due to a stud breaking off allegedly.. I thought if you broke an item during a service you should have to fix it.. not add another 80.00 dollars to my bill. I will never set foot in this location again as the service is terrible.. I'll take my business to the Littleton location as I like VIP.. I just won't be treated like this by the folks in the Woodsville location!!!
