I have been an incredibly happy client of Gordon's Grooming for 7 years now. Lara, the owner, has the distinction of being a Master Groomer and is also EXTREMELY knowledgeable about pet health, safety and nutrition. She and her staff frequently take continuing education classes to improve their skills, and let me tell you it shows! I am always very happy with my dog's groom no matter who does it- he looks fantastic every single time! The thing I like most about Gordon's Grooming though is not necessarily the fabulous groom, it's the fact my pet is always treated with love and respect and I never have to worry about his safety while he's there, (unlike other groomer's I've been to in the past). I also love supporting this business because of all the volunteer work they do with our animal shelter in Marshall County. absolutely love this place! i have a golden doodle and was trying to find a place to get him groomed because his fur was so long and mated. i heard about Gordon's Grooming through a friend who also has a golden doodle and said great things about Gordon's. i was nervous about taking him because of how mated he was and how much it would cost.. but I took Bentley a couple weeks ago and was so EXTREMELY pleased with how he looked, how good they were to him, the overall atmosphere there and the workers and the price was unbeatable!! I have jumped around from groomer to groomer because of pricing and nicking my Bentley when grooming but i am most definitely not jumping around anymore! sticking with Gordon's Grooming and can't wait to start going there regularly:) read more

My Mom passed away 2 mos ago and I am responsible for her little baby and I knew she had issues with grooming here locally. So when I was shopping near Gordon's I popped in and asked about their services. Both of the ladies working that day were very helpful and welcoming. I scheduled an appointment. Heather did a great job on our little girl. She can be little squirmy and vocal but Heather said she was fine and no issues. Other groomers said they had to shave her too low due to mats. Heather was upfront but said they had products and tools to help keep that to a minimum. Our little girl was so cute and not like one of those hairless dogs when I picked her up. Etta (14 lbs of white fluff) always hates getting in the car for any reason, particularly the vet & even the "beauty shoppe". I arrived before the end of her session last night & pulled into the first available parking place which happened to have a perfect view of Etta & her groomer. Right then I realized Etta is a Prima Donna who has no reason to hate being clean & trimmed. I keep hoping she will, one day, like going to Gordon's Grooming and I will haul her 14 pounds there every couple of months in spite of her objections. I just adopted a new cat 3 days ago and took him to Jenna for his first bath and nail clipping. she was AMAZING and my Jax was so good I asked if I could bring my other cat in too. I ran home and got my other cat so by dinner time I had two fresh happy cats. Jenna mentioned that I may have to reintroduce the cats because they don't smell like themselves but they hadn't gotten very close yet and still a little unsure of each other. because they both smelled the same, they acted like siblings! they seamlessly moved in each others space!!! what an amazing introduction by having them both be freshly bathed:)! soooo thrilled. thank you Jenna! read more

Well, I see Granger will be getting one of Plymouth's Gems. A Master groomer that can not only groom your breed like no other but also answer just about any question you have concerning your fur baby. I have been a Gordon's Customer now going on 8 years. I have Three dogs and won't take them any where else. I think the main reason Lara is so good at her trade is not because of her outstanding education but her passion for animals. Gordon's Groomers is an outstanding place to get your pet groomed! I took my 4 month old medium haired kitten in for her very first grooming. They assured me they would only do the grooming services she was comfortable with and allowed them to do. I felt so good about that! When I came to pick her up, she had allowed them to give her a bath, blow dry, and 4 paw nail trim! I was thrilled! Her fur was so soft and she looked absolutely beautiful! I am taking her back on a regular basis for nail trims and grooming when needed. I am so happy to have found Gordon's Groomers! read more

First time here and I was so impressed. Everyone is so kind, calm, and gentle. My greyhound got his nails trimmed and it was the first time he's ever tolerated someone doing it without crying or snapping. I also used the self wash to give him a bath which was so amazingly convenient. Just $10 for each 15 minutes (which was surprisingly about all it took to wash my giant dog), they provided everything I needed, and the best part was not having to clean the whole bathroom afterwards like I would at home! Belle came home looking adorable. It's been a difficult time finding a groomer for my Goldendoodle. There was a time when I would drive her to Indianapolis for appointments but due to time constraints, I wasn't able to continue to do so. I read about Gordon's Grooming in the South Bend Tribune -- I thought to myself, there's nothing to lose. I will continue to take Belle back to Gordon's for her semi-monthly sessions. Took my 2 pups in for a total grooming. They each had a groomer. Both ladies talked with me and asked several questions about how I wanted them groomed. The whole store seemed busy but friendly and I enjoyed seeing all the different breeds of dogs being groomed. My pups came out looking great, smelled wonderful and didn't seem traumatized as some of my pups did at other grooming salons. A little pricey but in today's market I guess that's what it costs to groom 2 pups. All in all I was satisfied with the whole experience. :) read more

I've had my 2 West Highland Terriers since they were pups (10 years). We have never had a proper Westie cut performed to our satisfaction until we brought them to Gordon's Grooming. I felt Heather and her team really "heard" what it was we were looking for and came through in spades. Our dogs have white fur. They have never had their coats look as white, soft or cut in the correct manner than with Gordon's Grooming. The cost is comparable to others, but whose services are far more superior. We've struggled to find a good groom for our two dogs, one a springer and one a rescue with some cavalier in him, since we moved to the area. This is by far the best groom they've gotten! Very pleased! The groomer, Heather, really knew what she was talking about, the staff were polite and accommodating, the place was clean and they were fantastic with the dogs. They had great communication throughout and my dogs were immediately comfortable there. Highly recommend, we will be back! read more

Gordon's Grooming was a fantastic find for us! Helping my daughter with bathing her three labs, typically she brings them to our house but we were remodeling. I called Gordon's and the staff was really friendly and helpful. We made an Appt and brought the dogs over and used their self serve bathing facility. It was well equipped with everything you would need we had all three dogs done in 45 minutes. I plan to take my lab there as well. I would highly recommend read more

These are the best cat groomers EVER!!!! They are sweet and caring. They love the animals they take care of. They also are not willing to groom them if the cat is fighting back after a few tries and tricks which I think is awesome. ( this is my grand cat not my beauty lol) . But in all seriousness they approach their work with skill, compassion and love for the animals and their owners! Highly recommend!!! read more

Awesome staff trained to groom different breeds. They do a beautiful job with our miniature schnauzer. We've been going for years. Great listeners always able to adapt based on what we want for different seasons since I like his hair to be longer in winter. I love the bath and tidy option between trims. Casey has groomed my long-haired kitten twice now, giving her almost a shave. They call it a "guard cut." She keeps a mane, giving her the appearance of a little chubby lion. This style helps immensely with shedding and reduces furballs. I don't have to brush her as often, and she seems to enjoy her shorter coat. Casey has a very sweet, gentle personality. Was driving by with my pup co-pilot in the car and thought I'd check to see if they do "drop in" nail trims. Sure enough, they were super friendly and worked me in quickly. It was less expensive than I've paid at places in the past, and the physical place itself was VERY nice. You can buy all kinds of great supplies, too, like spill-proof bowls and such. We got our Puggle senior groomed there for the first time yesterday and we were very pleased. The staff was very friendly, they did an excellent job and we were pleasantly surprised how much it cost when finished. It was less than the previous two groomers we've used. I highly recommend them and we will definitely be going back. We already scheduled our next appointment! read more

I had a wonderful first experience with my new puppy. Everyone was friendly and my puppy was happy. He was afraid of the dryer and they took their time with him so he wouldn't panic. He was clean and fluffy with a little trim. He will be returning in two weeks for another puppy trim. I am looking forward to it and feel that they will take good of our baby! read more
