Beware of this dental office. I just received a text message telling me that I had an outstanding balance when I haven't been seen there in three years. No explanation, just a link to put in your credit card information. I called them and was told insurance didn't cover the amount they expected them to and that I owed $359 for a service from 3 years ago. No phone call, email or any communication in the last three years to let me know that insurance is denying this portion of the claim so that I could be aware and budget for an additional payment. I've asked for an invoice with a breakdown of services provided, dates of services, and payments made by me as well as insurance multiple times. I still have not received that and was told if this payment is not made within two weeks, it will be sent to collections. read more

They have a dog walking around the office with a diaper on that they allow to go in/out of patient rooms who barks at patients, not a welcoming or inviting staff or environment. I would STRONGLY advise you receive a second opinion other than this dentist. It has taken me years to write this review because my experience there was so traumatic. I saw Dr. Gorelik during the pandemic for about 3 months. I originally went in with a front tooth that I believed needed a root canal. Once there, Gorelik confirmed the tooth was in bad shape and needed to be pulled completely and replaced with an implant. She also did an examination on the rest of my mouth and told me I had badly receding gums and I was bordering on having Gingivitis. Lastly, I had at least one other tooth that probably needs to be pulled, but she would fill it for me instead. I had no reason not to believe her assessment of my mouth so I began her very expensive treatment plan. (Which by the way- you're taken into a private room and presented with a several page booklet outlining the tens of thousands of dollars you should spend on treating your "bad gums" and 2 teeth. I had the first tooth pulled and began planning for my implant. Next was the filling of my other tooth. Three days before Thanksgiving I had it filled and I knew immediately something was wrong. Within an hour of leaving I was in excruciating pain like I'd never felt. I decided to sleep through it and called Gorelik the next day. Her response to me crying and being in excruciating pain was to lecture me on how she told me that I should have had it filled. Her solution was that I come in the next day and do so, but since it would then be the day before Thanksgiving and she would have to go in on her day off, I would have to pay an extra $500 on top of the fee to pull the tooth. Long story short- I never went back. I've since returned to a reputable dental office. My first visit there they all remarked on what great shape my gums are in- along with the rest of my mouth- which never saw Goreliks absolutely necessary treatment plan. I wish I'd have trusted my gut telling me that these people were a bunch of looney tunes scam artists when I saw that the front desk was also peddling literature on how the Coronavirus is a hoax and vaccines are evil. Do your research and decide what's best for your body before you give this woman more money to decorate her office in tacky faux fancy decor. read more

Dr. Gorelik and her team are compassionate, welcoming, thorough, and trauma informed. I cannot even see or feel the filling she placed in a front tooth -- exceptionally gorgeous work that looks 100% natural. I am amazed. Dr. Gorelik and her team were able to identify problems (infections) that another dental office missed and then they came up with a comprehensive plan to address what was causing my pain. They were also able to get me through the work that was needed without my blood pressure spiking from PTSD as it had done at the other dental office. A combination of CBD oil, their pampering salt room, nitrous oxide, the adorable office puppy, their open layout with windows in each room, clear communication, calming decor, and kind staff made all the difference. Their office offers a relaxing and spa-like environment and it felt like my body and mind had plenty of time to unwind before the work began. As someone who is high risk, I also appreciate that they wear masks, provide natural hand sanitizer, and everything feels super clean in the office. Dr. Gorelik is knowledgeable, but lacks any compassion for how her patients are treated by her staff. Her staff is very unprofessional and difficult to reach by phone. They hardly ever answer their phones and you have to call to schedule. Any feedback you try to give to the dentist about how you feel you were treated, she brushes you off and ask you to address it with her office manager. After addressing my concerns with the office manager, she never shared it with the dentist/owner and wrote a ridiculous reply in which she refused to own any accountability in the issue I presented to her. I witnessed the office manager respond with rude, unprofessional comments to not only myself but another patient who was in the office one day I was there. She refused to address any issues she is made aware of (See other online reviews. I am not the only one she has done this to). Lastly the office manager/dental assistant claims to be a natural healer (with no education or certifications) and tells patients what supplements to take. It is very dangerous to allow yourself to be led by people who have no training nor skills in what they are selling you for your health and wellbeing. As for their treatment plans, they are ridiculously overpriced in the tens of thousands of dollars for work you can get done anywhere else with a really skilled holistic dentist for a fraction of the cost. I called three other well-known holistic dentists in the area and all of their prices were less than a third of what Dr. Gorelik was charging. I have been a patient here for a few years now, and I have never thought much about who I went to until I met the staff at Gorelik Dentistry. I now carry their cards with me everywhere, so I can hand them out to anyone I meet who might be on the fence about their dentist or looking for one. Honestly. I have had nothing but wonderful, friendly, patient, and positive experiences with them all, and Dr. Julia has been nothing short of devoted, kind, and caring. I have been through a lot with them and every single experience has been just wonderful. You can tell that they are like a family, and they treat their patients as such. The office is beautiful and comfortable. They have Lenny Boy Kombucha on tap, and have a whole host of other delectable, natural products to discover as well. They even have a salt room, which is amazing. It's seems crazy, but I actually look forward to my appointments with them, and I haven't experienced the dread of a dentist visit since I started going to them. Dr. Gorelik is wonderful; not only does she know her stuff, but she's also very friendly/personable and kind and has a great bedside manner, which certainly can't be said about all docs. I used to dread going to the dentist but anytime I have to go there now, I honestly don't even mind because she makes everything go so smoothly and seem like it's not as big of a deal as I've made it out to be in my head. Gorelik Dentistry provides a holistic approach to dentistry which is great, however this practice nickels and dimes it's patients to death!!!! They schedule unnecessary appointments that could be completed at the time of your cleaning. Each additional appointment has cost me 150.00 each. They also charge for a cancellation of an appointment of 50.00 within a 48 hours notice. I've have never felt so robbed in all my life. I will research other holistic dentistry practices in Charlotte, NC because this one has a predatory culture of overcharging its customers. read more

This has been my dentist for the past couple years and I love her. Dr. Gorgeous ( gorelike ) is awesome. She was always talk to you and remember everything about you. It really does give you that sense of a family dentistry. They have new equipment, but do not expect TV or music while you are being worked on. Instead she will talk you talk to where you get to reply with a gargled mmmhmm. I really do love my dentist, but don't expect any amenities like other offices have had. My only gripe with this place is recently they have been trying to sell extra things such as the sonicare toothbrush. I don't know if my teeth are this bad ( which i have had 2 cavities in my life ) from eating too much sugar and delicious pulled pork, or if they are pushing sales. I just decline as always. I am terrified of dentists because of previous experiences. .. I was referred by a friend in conversation about my experiences. After 3 years of not going anywhere I called them for an appointment. I was terrified and explained to them the reasons why. They were extremely patient with me. I've been there several times since with not 1 negative experience. Well, while a homely little office, you feel an aire of discomfort upon walking in. If you have trouble understanding broken English, then you will be out of luck here. The receptionist is kind and courteous. The dentist is pushy and unsympathizing. I've seen several assistants pass through this place, and the dentist (Dr.Gorelik) has been condescending and disrespectful towards all of them, and her only fallback to that is that "she started out as an assistant, so she knows how hard it is". That doesn't seem like enough reason to treat your staff like garbage though... Must be why my favorite, kindest hygienist in the world(sandy) quit there..... This dentist has the WORST teeth i have seen in a long time. Is this the oral example you want to live by? Parents, you want a good role model for your kids to look up to, right? Athletes, you want somebody that inspires you to mold and image while you strive for your goal, your dreams and perseverance's, right?
