Absolutely stunning venue. Was here for a wedding and was so amazed by the view and the property itself.

There's absolutely no denying how beautiful this wedding venue is. Look at any photos online and let me tell you, it's just as wonderful in person. Of course you have the stunning view of Mt. Hood in the background, and we were lucky enough for it to be clear on our wedding day, but even on an off day if you can't see the mountain, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained that you won't be disappointed. Most of our guests were from out of town and we got so many compliments about it being the most amazing venue they had ever been to. In fact, it took a while to get the dance floor going because people were spending so much time admiring the view and taking pictures! Starting your wedding planning journey can be so confusing and oftentimes frustrating, and finding a venue is where it really starts. Gorge Crest made the process as simple as possible, offering a full, REALISTIC event quote (including things like catering, DJ, etc.) and providing a list of mandatory vendor options. While some may find this limiting, we were pleased to know that they had vetted vendors and were so happy with everyone they recommended. Jena was always quick to respond and worked with us on our requests, including extra time in the Grooms room and letting us leave a car overnight to pack up our decorations in. The only issue we ran into was getting recurring invoices in our email that weren't meant for us... I would just recommend staying on top of what you owe them and know that you may need to remind them that they have made a mistake. Best wishes to anyone who chooses to get married here. This is the best Venue in the Hood River area. We were so elated when we found this location overlooking Mt. Hood. Not only was the place fantastic but they were so helpful in answering all of the questions we had, having all of the great additions available to rent and offering great suggestions. Gorge Crest Vineyards is the absolute best! We looked at every venue in the area and from the moment I walked on the property I knew it was the one. It doesn't feel like just a venue or that your wedding is just another event. Rather, when you are there it feels like it's your very own intimate and private house and yard. Our Plan A for our wedding set up was everything outside, except dinner. However at the very last minute our Plan B was enacted due to rain, which was everything inside (cocktail hour, ceremony, dinner, dance party). Ultimately I think it made the experience even better. The inside ceremony and dinner vibe was so very romantic, cozy, and intimate. The incredible and dramatic backdrop was always very present, even without a mountain (who NEVER made an appearance but honestly was not missed). Guests are still talking about how much they loved the environment and views. And with the indoor dance floor, I'm pretty sure every single guest was on the dance floor because for one, they couldn't escape it, but also because our DJ, recommended by Ronda, was incredible! We booked the venue in October 2017 for our September 2018 wedding (140 guests). They had only one spot left (around August/September) on the last weekend of September which also happened to be the first day of Fall and harvest time aka the flowers and orchards were absolutely STUNNING. Ronda/Jena, and our Ronda-recommended wedding coordinator, Shelley Toon Lindberg, made the whole process feel easy and personable. Every aspect (communication, rentals, recommended vendors, payment) were totally seamless and just perfect. Ronda/Jena were always quick to respond and super helpful. Throughout the off season leading up to the day, I was able to go to the venue several times with my family to plan and show off the space. That was really special to me. When you see pictures of Gorge Crest you can obviously tell it is beautiful. When you step out of your car at Gorge Crest, you will find it absolutely stunning. You cannot find a better venue. The colors of the lawn, the view, the mountains, and wildflowers make for an incredible backdrop. The forest along the sides of the venue make it a fun place for guests to explore. I appreciated having both indoor and outdoor options. Most importantly, we had the entire venue to ourselves and were free to make it ours for the day. I attended a wedding at Gorge Crest Vineyards and it was one of the most beautiful wedding sites I have ever seen. The venue overlooks the Columbia River Gorge with Mount Hood in the background. The gorge side of the building completely opened up to a covered patio with the DJ set up at one end and a bar at the other. One step down was an open patio, then a huge lawn and breathtaking views that wouldn't quit. It rained during part of the reception, but this site allowed us to be protected from the rain, while still feeling like we were out in the natural setting. I loved the fact that they had a hammock grove, though I didn't actually do anything but stroll through it. read more

We love Gorge Crest Vineyards! We are wedding photographers whom photograph beautiful ceremonies and receptions on the property, very often. Never have we run into situations that made it difficult to capture the happy wedding days that we are commissioned for. The views are stunning! Everything about this venue is impeccable from it's manicured lawns and wildflower hill, to the cleanliness of the upstairs rooms where our couples get ready with their friends and family. We've photographed overcast and sunny weddings, both (and everything in between!). We've loved every minute of each wedding and are always happy to hear the background comments from the guests whom have never seen views like the one at Gorge Crest. It makes us proud to live in such a beautiful part of the country! :) As a vendor, we've had great relationships with the owners and the other hired vendors, too. I feel that Ronda has had plenty of time on her property to truly know whom is top-notch and wonderful to work with (and for her clients to enjoy as well). We are definitely proud to be one of her preferred vendors and, as photographers, we are always EXCITED to see couples dip, or kiss, or twirl or or or.... in front of the beauuuutiful Mt Hood! I have been working on wedding venues for years and this one is by far the most beautiful and stunning I've ever seen. Rhonda, the owner, has set up the place in exquisite style with plenty of room for the bride and groom to get ready in privacy and comfort. Doing hair and makeup with a shocking view of Mt. Hood from the window is relaxing for the bride and adds so much to the experience. The grounds are impeccable and the place is always spotless. I love working there professionally, but have also attended a friend's wedding and as a guest, I had an equally great experience. Highly recommend. The scenery and look of the venue is beautiful. But can you find another location that has a beautiful scenery that meets Gorgecrest or better? Yes. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, a well organized, professional, and respectful staff? Absolutely. The owner Ronda lacks a lot of attention to detail and organization. My sister lived on the East Coast, but fell in love with this venue site for years, so since I lived here on the West Coast, it was only fitting that I stepped in to be the physical contact person to work with Ronda and Gorgecrest to make this June 2014 wedding. My sister and her fiance were a few weeks away from flying in to put down a deposit and sign the contract, and as I started communicating with Ronda to pay a visit myself prior to my sister getting here, and also confirming details and agreements to the wedding my sister had ALREADY COMMUNICATED to Ronda, it was as if they never received a single detail. It became a "I said this" or "I didn't mean to say that..." or "That information was wrong" or "I had no idea about the pricing..." kind of thing. When both my sister and I had of course kept every single documented communication we have had with her. The bad communication aside, the most disappointing thing I hope no bride has to deal with, is the lack of care in her clients. The Wedding Day of any bride is supposed to be the most special. One would expect that any venue would try their best to cater and accommodate the bride and her groom, but that is the exact opposite you will get from Gorgecrest. It was the most terrible experience attempting to work with Ronda, but it was a clear blessing because we found another venue that is even more beautiful, value is worth the price, provides exceptional services, organized, professional, and the staff makes you feel important and they actually remember every conversation you have with them. NOT to mention, they are honest, open, and clear up front. There are many venues and locations out there that will not make you feel like they just want your money like Gorgecrest, rather they make you feel like a valued customer, and give you the respect that you deserve. Don't waste your time or money on this venue. I promise you there are many many better options! Take it from experience. read more

This venue is absolutely beautiful BUT--It's such a shame that the owner Ronda was not organized or professional. We planned our wedding from across the country. So we had to book our flights over to settle the contract, put our deposits down, and SEE the venue. We told Ronda that our flight had been booked and we'd see her soon... Along with over twenty tread emails pertaining to our visit our ideas our vendors we would like to work with etc. over a course of 6months. She either lost those emails or forgot which bride I was and had no recollection of who we were. We were very stressed out by her, YET I was in love with this place so we gave it go to keep working with her. Instead of working with us- she worked against us. She was very vague and short in her emails.. She won't talk to you on the phone.... We really wanted a yes or no answer for a lot of things. But she just gave us the run around. She ended up being a waste of our time and energy. If you're a bride looking for a venue that is organized, professional, and who you can rely on, trust to keep your wedding plans organized, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!!!! SPECTACULAR VIEW, PROPRIETER LESS THAN FRIENDLY. My boyfriend and I have been casually looking at wedding venues and because we were staying at nearby Skamania Lodge this weekend we decided to stop by Gorge Crest Winery to take a peek. Everything mentioned about the view is absolutely true. It's lovely. When we arrived, the location was all buttoned up which wasn't a huge surprise as it was Easter Sunday. We drove past the cosy looking building where weddings/receptions are held wondering if there was another building for wine tasting. In doing so, we encountered the owner and another individual walking down the road with three dogs. We stopped to inquire if they had a wine tasting room. The woman who identified herself as the owner was visibly irritated that we were there, telling us that "Nothing is open until May". We mentioned that we knew that it was Easter and thought they may not be open. DURING THIS TIME, ONE OF THEIR DOGS JUMPED UP ON THE SIDE OF OUR CAR LEAVING SCRATCHES ON BOTH DOORS. NOT ONCE DID THE OWNER TELL THE DOG TO GET DOWN, NOR DID SHE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCIDENT. We thanked them for the closure info(which wasn't posted anywhere on the property) and left. We have a big dog, we know how friendly they can be, we aren't faulting the dog. My advice to this business owner is: post your closures if you do not want potential clients visiting your establishment, be gracious when people express an interest in your business, and simply take ownership of the behavior of your pets, particularly when they have done damage to someone's property . On a side note, the staff at Skamania Lodge was amazing. All of our encounters found them warm, friendly and genuinely helpful- even amidst a busy Easter weekend. read more

We attended a wedding last night at gorge crest vineyards. It was by far the most incredible location for a wedding that a bride could ever dream of. All of the vendors were exceptional and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are taking care of so well and the views are like none other.
