It's just so cute and gives a vibe for you to stay and make yourself at home rather than "get what you need and get tf out" They also have a salon attached to it - looks amazing and aesthetic. They offer a lot of different hair services. The most amazing part is the eyelash boutique they have in the back with nice comfy beds, a blanket and it's just so comfy, I definitely fell asleep during my service. Tiana is an eyelash god. She has the most delicate hands and I seriously felt nothing when she was doing it. I've had lash technicians poke at my eyes and I've got to say this was the most comfortable experience I've had. I got the mega diamond lashes done and damn mama, they are THICCC. What seriously surprised me is how light and fluffy they are - I expected heavy lashes which I can barely see out of (which is what my heavy mink lashes feel like) but nope! Even when you touch them, they feel like real thick lashes. My mom can't stop touching it and I've had mad compliments in the one day I've had them on. Tiana told me they're high quality lashes from Japan and you can definitely see and feel the difference. I am absolutely in love with the results! My short straight Asian lashes were transformed into the wispy fluttering lashes that I've always wanted! They looked completely natural as well and I received many compliments by friends and family on how great my lashes looked! First off, the atmosphere inside Moss was clean and fresh, and their lash stations were located in a very pretty area at the back of the store that was nice and cozy. My lash tech did a great job in making sure I was comfortable the entire time, and explained what she was doing so I was never in the dark about what was happening (even with my eyes closed haha). I got the Love Classic set and the whole process took just a little over an hour and a half. At one point I was so relaxed I ended up falling asleep! I have been consistently getting my lashes done so when I compared LaLa Lashes to other lash lounges in terms of how long it stays, this place loses. Lashes started coming off the next day but it was just a couple so it didn't impact the overall look. After 1 week, the lashes look messy - going in all directions. If this was my first time, then I wouldn't have any expectations but it isn't so I am quite disappointed with the results. Maybe this is the norm in Toronto but the ones I've done in Boston and New York stayed on and in a manageable fashion for weeks.

Heidi made sure to explain the process fully and carefully created the colour that I was looking to achieve. To help her with the colour I had in mind, I brought the lip tint that I normally used. She then crafted the colour with her pigments and ensured that I was happy with the colour prior to applying it. Keeping in mind that everyone's pain tolerance level is different, I did not feel uncomfortable or in pain during the actual process (numbing cream was used before the process begun). Heidi made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire lip blushing process. Upon completion, she thoroughly explained the healing and aftercare process. Again, keeping in mind that everyone's skin will react differently, my lips were pretty swollen after. However, as advised by Heidi, the swelling subsided after 2 days and the whole healing process took about 6 days for all the scabs to come off. Thank you Heidi for doing such a wonderful job!

While browsing places to get microblading done for my mom, I came across Oh My Lash and Brow on Yelp. What stood out the most, were the before and after pictures of Heidi's previous clientele. Add in the $250 for $450 voucher and the relative close distance to my house, and I was sold. Next, it was easy calling in and making an appointment for the next day; and Heidi gave useful directions over the phone, for getting to her unit number within the plaza - she is located on the second floor; & once you get up the stairs, there are large signs above each door in the hallway letting you know of which business is which. The overall process took about 3 hours, with the majority of the time being spent on the pre-procedure tasks including: initial information session on microblading, consultation, and sketching of the eyebrows. My mother is a very picky woman so they had to be perfect before we could move on haha - I appreciate Heidi's patience. The actual procedure took anywhere from 30-60 minutes and a lot of numbing agent is applied to the area before and during the procedure to eliminate any pain sensations. Heidi also continually checked in with my mom asking her if she was ok and/or feeling any pain. Another great point to mention was Heidi's obvious knowledge and experience performing this procedure. She gave us plenty of information in the beginning regarding risks, signs of infection to look for following the procedure, and she was sure to explain the sterility of the microblading tools she would be using. [Cool to note that she even staples the freshly opened package to each client's consult form.] With my mom and I both being nurses, we were very happy to see that detail and attention were put into the health safety of the procedure, which involves needles and the breakage of skin, therefore carrying a high potential of transmission of infections. Overall, my mom and I were very happy with the results, the entire process and this wonderful microblading experience with Heidi. She gifted us with another voucher to help spread the word and I will definitely be sure to pass it to a friend. It is well worth the time and money spent! It is low maintenance, and I look and feel great waking up every day - don't even need to put on make-up! Never have I ever had an eye irritation or felt discomfort during the past years of experience with Shades Lashes. Dianne keeps the studio sparkling clean. She has good hygiene, and always wears a mask (even before covid happened). I visit the shop every 3 weeks or so for a lash refill, and it is worth every penny for the quality and professional service! I have pretty thick dark eyebrows with a defined arch. This fall I decided to use COVID…read morework-from-home as a perfect opportunity to grow them slightly wider without looking unprofessional at the office. It took about three months since August for some over-plucked parts to fully come back. Pretty happy with the results and the natural shape, I wanted to take off a few stray hairs to get the eyebrows look more symmetrical and also to trim the top part in a way that looks clean and not over-groomed. I normally do this myself, but since I haven't had full-blown natural eyebrows in ages, I figured it'd be a great opportunity to go to a stylist and treat myself. I've had terrible experiences in the past when people would pluck the heck out of me for no good reason, so I was pretty hesitant to do this, and the fact that none of my girlfriends normally did it at a salon also didn't help. After checking a number of places in the neighborhood, I was blown away by the amazing reviews, the IG account of Eye Love Beauty, and more importantly the beautiful luscious eyebrows of their aestheticians. So I booked an appointment, thinking that with every single girl rocking bushy eyebrows these days, the worst thing that could happen to me would be just paying the money and leaving with almost no changes, which I would have been totally fine with to be honest. My appointment was with Rochelle, who was very friendly and attentive. She examined my eyebrows, listened to my preferences and confirmed them to make sure we are on the same page. She also suggested to take off a bit of hair at the bottom to open the eyes/define the arch, which I was happy with. She carried on, was fast and very gentle. When she was done and handed me the mirror to check out the results, you could only imagine my surprise as I saw two skinny flat tasteless eyebrows from the 2000s on my face with half of the width gone, including good 3 mm from the top, and the arch was no longer there. I was completely stumped as I realized there was nothing that could be done at that point. So I mumbled something about the top of the eyebrows. Rochelle suggested that it wasn't as dense as the middle part, which is absolutely true by the way - my eyebrows are not perfect, but they are definitely much thicker than most of the average ones, and with a bit of filling they always look extremely voluminous. At this point I could only assume either the majority of their clients have perfect model eyebrows, the staff was trained on such eyebrows, or it was simply not my day. I felt extremely bad, but I didn't want to make a scene or argue - Rochelle was very kind throughout the whole session, there was nothing to be done at that point for the hair to magically grow back, and I was rushing back to work. So I just paid and left. I hate to be the person to leave this as an online comment rather than in-person feedback, but I honestly don't know what I should have done differently, since we both seemed to be on the same page, and I am not the type of person to interrupt an expert to check every two minutes on their work. I liked Rochelle a lot and wouldn't mind coming back if I knew I would be getting what I want. I just want to cry in a corner and shave this shame off. It will take me three months to grow back the hair, with the ugly stumps sticking out, and I cannot even properly conceal this with a pencil/shadow, since it looks absolutely ridiculous in this spot. The dumbest part is I don't have anyone else to blame for this but myself. So if you are someone like me, having beautiful eyebrows and contemplating about saving time shaping them yourself, please don't repeat my mistakes, set aside two hours and do it yourself. No one knows your face better than you, and not even the best stylist can read your mind. Or if you decide to give it a try, maybe ask a stylist to fill in the final desired shape before they start tweezing.

Both my sister in law and I drove from the east end all the way to Vaughan to get our lashes done because we got a great promo deal via Groupon and their work on Instagram looked pretty good. Location: it was a little confusing to get here, but if you look for the TB Tax sign in the plaza, you're in the right spot. There is free parking available and it's a fairly large lot. The salon itself is up a pretty steep flight of stairs and there wasn't an elevator as far as I could tell. It is NOT baby stroller or wheel chair friendly. The space itself is small, clean and pretty. I liked the little touches, like the glitz on the hand towel in the bathroom, and the huge fluffy pillow on the couches. There is no separate area for waiting and treatment, so if you're shy about being beautified with a possible audience, be warned. Mind you, when we visited, there was one other girl finishing up before us and we basically had the place to ourselves. This was great because I had to bring my 8 month old daughter with me and she is a giggly little thing that babbles quite loudly some times. Nicole did both my lashes and my SIL's lashes, although she received an HD set for a 20$ upgrade fee. It was totally worth it if you have a lot of lashes because it looked fabulous on her. I have much shorter and sparser lashes so I stuck with a more natural look. The thing I loved was that I literally just said, "Hey, I just don't want to wear mascara on vacation and still look bright eyed in photos..." and she just knew what to do based on my lash length and eye shape. I also wear glasses so it was important that I didn't get cartoonishly long lashes that bumped my lenses. The lashes were soft and didn't feel stiff to the touch. I left with a little pink pouch with some aftercare instructions and a pink mascara wand to keep the lashes brushed. The lashes held up pretty decently without any refills, even after about four weeks. I've always been pretty good about lash care, but this vacation had been pretty hectic so I hadn't brushed them as much as I normally would and they still looked full, albeit a bit tangled by the end of the day. I'd say they looked pretty good at up until about the six week mark, after which there were just too many lashes that had fallen off. This, however, far exceeded my expectations. Overall, I'd recommend this place, particularly if you live in the area. I don't think I'd be returning regularly only because it's such a trek from my place, but Nicole did a great job and knows what she's doing when it comes to lash extensions.
