I've been wanting to visit GorillaRX for some time now! Being an ATL native, I'm glad I had a chance to on my visit to LA! The shop was extremely clean organized and very colorful! The staff was very nice even the security guards! Justin was OUTSTANDING! He checked us in and was also our budtender! Super chill, very patient and very knowledgeable of all the products & he was a great help, assisting me with choosing a few goodies! I will definitely be back to Gorilla! Black Owned & Woman Owned! How can you go wrong!?

So I am born and raised in Los Angeles ,California. I heard that there was a black owned dispensary on Crenshaw Blvd and owned by a woman. That's phenomenal! The location is by Mavericks flat in Leimert Park. It is actually on the same side and next door to Mavericks flat. There was plenty of free parking on Crenshaw boulevard . So we go in and we were greeted by BeBe. We gave her identifications and chit chat with her like she was family. Once inside Will Smith took great care of us. I got everything that I wanted. Even if you do not use cannabis this shop is so dope. It has plenty of artwork and other decor. Plus, it's a chill vibe. Thank you and see you again!

If your in the LA area this is a must.. friendly knowledgeable staff.. I came to buy a pre roll from exotic flower collective.. highly suggested preroll. A clam even high u can be high af and still be able to function. They have some dope merch and they have a anything thing u could think of to get high.. It's hard to want to go anywhere else now. I describe Gorilla RX as a safe and premiere experience. The team seems to be doing everything right. The security guards were inviting and helpful. Everyone was personable and knowledgeable. They have a great system where you check in and then a budtender meets you at the door and focuses only on you the whole time. I don't smoke, so it was important to me that they had a good selection of edibles. There are no critiques. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I went yesterday for the first time as a first time customer. The lady at the front desk who checked me in was pleasant and sweet but after that everything went downhill. The people who work inside the store were rude and cold and no real help. Which made me sad since this is supposed to be a for us by us experience but I did not get that. The guy who help me I believe his name was Josh or Joshua something with a J. Was so cold and rushed me out of there and on top of that at the last minute he went in the back room and switch the weed from the one he originally gave me. And when I asked him why did he go back there and why did it take so long he made up some excuse. When I got to my car I open the bag and see that the weed he gave me was packaged at the beginning of October of last year!!! So I see he switched the packets to give me old weed that they had in the back. And since then my chest has been burning from this old nasty weed. Just because this place is black does not mean I need to make up for stars the customer service sucked and so did the product! Hire friendly people! I absolutely LOVE Gorilla RX. Every time you go in, vibes are immaculate. Every single budtender has made me feel welcomed and comfortable. The music choices never miss and neither do the recommendations. Big props to budtender Will Smith (yes that's their name!!) tonight! Great location. Great set up and atmosphere. Nice people. However, I have gone 3 times now, and the herb ain't all that. I'm no connoisseur, but I know what smokes good. The herb I have gotten is flat, and dry in flavor. I found myself just blowing smoke for the sake of smoking lol. I've heard some weed is grown with tobacco to increase volume, maybe this is the case. Because it really is that dry and hard. I don't really like spots with 99 different brands, because the budtender really has no clue what they're selling. Chances are they haven't sampled the product. It's all about fancy and excessive packaging. And I have learned to never do the deals. I am convinced that is herb on clearance because it doesn't sale and they need to move it lol. All in all I will most likely try again to find one of their better brands, on another desperate run when my guy is unavailable. LONG LIVE THE OG WEED MAN. They'll never let you down. read more

We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.
