After I called and left a message that expressed my frustration we finally got a returned call. We were told that there was a problem with the supplies not being delivered on time. I understand things happen. What I don't understand is the lack of communication. I will again say we are pleased with the fence. In fact we have recommended the company to our neighbors.

I had Harmes Home Improvement re-roof my house around May of 2015. It had priors leaks with the one…read morelayer that was on the roof. He took off the one layer and then found out he needed to plywood the whole entire roof and garage prior to reroofing. I went with a 30 year roofing material. Over a week ago, January 27th 2024, the ceiling in the garage was leaking exactly where it had leaked prior to the roof being replaced in 2015. We had two different companies come out to give us an estimate. Both companies stated that there were a lot of improper or "bad workmanship" done by the company that did my roof. There are places where there were no flashing used, flashing that was put on top of the roofing material and not under it. There are two chimneys that have poor or inadequate flashing, nails sticking up and put in places that could cause leaking. All the roof vents were not placed correctly or flashed correctly. Estimates were over $4000 plus to redo the issues that were not done correctly. When I found the name of the company that did my roof in 2015, I called him. I told him that we had leaking and what the other companies said about his work. He told me he only gives one year warranty. I asked him if he would come take a look at the roof and he stated he would not and that he didn't care what other companies said about the work he did. He told me I could file a complaint, so I am. We have had to put a couple thousand into repairing the roof flashing and drain areas over the garage where it was causing water damage. There are a lot more areas that need to be fixed. This should not be happening to a roof that is only 8 1/2 years old. The owner of Harmes Home Improvement did not show that he cared in anyway about the issues we were having. A company that does not care about doing a good job or that there are issues, is not a good company. So we have a 30 year roofing material but poor workmanship with only a one year warranty.

They came out to talk thru the project and discussed options but no hard sell (which I appreciate). They assign a project manager (Blake in my case) to coordinate and keep things on schedule. However, the heroes of the project were Michael + Jonathan who built our fence. The took out the prior fence and checked in with our 96 yr old neighbor that we share the fence with to make sure he approved. He did! The walked me thru the finished fence and even added a "puppy protector" mini fence to keep our dog contained. They were super respectful, kind and FAST. It looks great and with the great warranty, we couldn't be happier.
