Don't let these guys rip any finish plywood for you. Their panel saw is a piece of junk, or else they don't know how to operate it. This is a typical edge they cut. Home Depot does a better job, and they don't charge for it either. Mr Plywood charges a fee to wreck your edge.

Great place for DIYers, van lifers and more! We've visited this place at least a dozen times this summer and these folks never fail to disappoint. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable, making newbies like me feel comfortable! This large center has a huge variety of materials. I appreciate how things are decently priced too!

This is a cool plywood supply store because they have all kinds of plywood & flat panels from the cheapest to the most expensive. They also have a decent selection of square and rectangle wood, dowels, hardwork, and some tools. Even though the store is not. Large, one can spend a lot of time looking at "fun" things there. The employees are friendly and helpful in a "cold" manner, if that makes any sense. There is plenty of parking even though that parking lot is not huge.

Honestly couldn't have asked for better customer service or selection than I found at Mr. Plywood. Nate graciously offered to help me sort through a stack of 4x8 plywood to find the pieces I wanted, & was extremely helpful by offering suggestions & helping me make decisions. It is always a hit or miss walking into places like this as a female, because I either get the best service I've ever received, or I'm completely ignored with the assumption I'm not buying anything. I'm super grateful that the nice man working at Home Depot told me to come here instead (lol) I'm excited to continue supporting this local business. Thank you!

    Completed tread replacement project

Mission: replace back porch stair treads. Challenge: select the right material and get the wood cut. I was on my way to Home Depot, anxious about finding someone who would be willing/able to help me get the wood I needed, when I drove by Mr. Plywood. I'm so glad I decided to shop locally and get personalized attention at Mr. Plywood. The staff was helpful and kind, even though I had no idea what I was doing. In less than 20 minutes I was advised on which wood to buy, given quotes for different price levels, and on my way home with 18 perfectly cut 1 x 6 boards.

We really like this place. It's small but they had great trim, trellises, etc. friendly guys that work there as well. We'll be back!

Quality material accompanied by poor customer service and large egos from sales associates.

I was looking for wood veneer. This was the only place that carries it in Portland, that I know of!

Great local lumber. I built all my raised beds using their untreated cedar. They are holding up well.

They have lots of nice lumber to choose from, better than the home improvement stores. Nice and helpful staff, I would recommend going here.

The quality of wood here is so much better than your regular run-of-the-mill store such as Home Depot or Lowes.

My contractor sent me here to pick out my floors years ago, and I've been sending my friends and…read morefamily here ever since. It's a small, locally owned shop and the quality is incomparable. I also really appreciate that the guys running the shop are low pressure, and super honest. I hired a contractor to replace the hardwoods in my craftsman. I loved the floors but some of the areas were beyond repair and I didn't think it was really possible to just replace the damaged areas without it being obvious - these old floors have patina and natural wear, and I was sure they'd been sanded down numerous times. My contractors was sure he could do it, but said to check out the floors at Seaport in case I wanted to do a full replacement. The guys at Seaport were so technical with the specific sanders and stains and finishes, I can see why my contractor sent me here. I ended up going with the repair instead of a full replacement, and I am so thankful that they convinced me. They saved my 50+ year old floors, they look and feel incredible. They looked through photos of my floors and picked out unfinished boards that were not just the same oak type, but even had similar grain patterns for the replacement boards. These guys are true masters of their craft and champions of old-world quality. Craftsmen like guys at Seaport are the secrete magicians that keep the charm alive in old homes in Portland. And if you're in the market for a full replacement, they have samples of all of their floors, finished and unfinished, and a lot (a ton!!) of smaller swatch samples you can take home to see in your space and to show your contractor your stain choices. If you've gone to a big box store and felt some expensive hardwoods, do yourself a favor and stop by Seaport and really feel the quality difference. When you hold it in your hand, you will know, I can't explain it. Thank you Seaport!!
