I have been charged for exams, senior dog exams and from what I have witnessed was not a thorough exam. A teeth exam I can not get a good look at the inside of your dog's mouth may result in hidden painful tooth decay and rotting teeth this is not a total exam. Any lump you feel that a veteran can not feel doesn't mean their is no lump it means your veterinarian isn't doing a thorough enough job. Lots of talk and questions while they so called examined my dog. I have been ignored and blown off when I have detailed what was concerning me. They did not sit down with me to go over blood work that would have given me a heads up to exactly what the changes meant or could mean later on in your dogs life when it is too late to say we actually have a problem here. They did not go over the results or show me images of x rays of my dog I didn't get the chance to any ask questions regarding them. They did not go over the ultra sound images to show if their were any indications of abnormalities Red or Blue markers Or chance to ask any question. A recent visit to the vets office I was asked if I minded being recorded I did not mind I think it a valuable tool I think a quick look into the pets past history should be a given. since we are paying big bucks for these services we deserve to be given all the information they have on our pets and not what they think is a need to know basis. As humans we expect our our physicians to share any results with us. As the prices are going sky hi the quality of care and skill of some veterinarians is falling it is failing our precious animals I can at first attain to this. I have found an exceptional a talented veterinarian who personally has been spot on thorough with all her examination of my dog who showed me love and grace a firm hand when the final decision was made by me to let my boy go. I can not imagine what it takes to get back to work having lost her own two dogs in one week then hold my hand and say it's ok to let him go without loosing composure. I'm feeling neutral to suspicious about this place…read more Now we take Wesley here each month to get groomed. They do a beautiful job at that. No problems. Wesley seems happy when we pick him up. My problem is we started to use them for his shots. It only made sense to us since they had to call his previous vet to get his medical history. But when we took him in, they did not want us to come back and be with him while he was getting his shots. Now this seems odd to me since with all my other animals and vets, we were always allowed to go back with them. Never has a vet refused to allow us back so we could comfort the animal during that stressful time. Something seems off about this. I think while I'll continue to get him groomed there, I'll take him back to his previous vet for his shots.

LostKey Animal Clinic has taken care of our cats and dogs for years. Sadly they don't handle exotics so we researched a exotic vet when Nubs our Leopard Gecko came down with mouth rot. Very common so we began treatment ourselves and made a appointment at East Hill veterinary clinic/hospital here in Pensacola. After a few days of treatment Nubs had gotten over the mouth rot but we kept the appointment just to be safe, she had some shedding on her eyes and hoped they could help. As the appointment began we noted that LiMarie Rodriguez, DVM stated that our Gecko should be eating fruits and vegetables... my daughter and I felt terrible because all our research stated that they should NEVER eat them. An we were correct, they should never because there bodies are not designed to digest them. Feeding them to your crickets is one thing so right there we should have known she was the wrong vet- so as she began to handle Nubs she squeezed her and said "ohhh I think your Gecko farted on me". She then takes her to the back to treat the eyes and returns 20m later. Sets her in the terrarium traveler and explained that the mouth rot was gone but to give her some eye drops to help with the shed. As we drove home my daughters concerns grew, she realized her gecko wasn't moving at all. I said she probably just cold or scared ... wrong! This uneducated irresponsible vet killed our Gecko! She clearly squeezed him. I immediately called from the driveway and I have to admit LOST my cool after the vet said "what do you want me to do about it", "it was very sick, you might have done it". An that I had NO reason to be upset that it's just a Gecko. JUST a GECKO- Um No, this was my daughters baby and she spoiled and cared for... it happens she said, it was very sick! Do NOT TAKE YOUR Reptiles to East Hill Animal Hospital not all vets are bad- just this one!!!!

She had high blood pressure and they have an old school style so they didn't get a proper reading and she was extremely stressed! Since she's a rescue, it's hard to know what caused that fear, but Linday never rushes her or forces anything. She always goes above and beyond -- even sitting on the floor with her to help her feel safe and calm. Dr. Josh asked us to try pre medicating three days prior to nail appointment. Gave us two meds and instructions. ( meds were not expensive). Brought her in for appointment, mind you she was chill but not out of it so I assumed the worse, big vet bill to clip nails. Dr. Josh sat on the floor with my dog and was able to clip the nails without anesthesia. Took his time all the while talking her and calming. Walked out with a $34 dollar bill and a happy dog. Highly recommend Soundside and Dr. Josh and staff.
