My stylist showed up late 30 minutes later. I was completely turned off. No apology and a complete disrespect for my time. The style came out great and the stylist was fairly quick getting my hair done. Well, as quick as you can be with individual braids. You have the option of buying hair at the shop which is a plus if you want to skip the task of researching and buying it yourself and bringing it in. I hope to see this business improve.

My style,…read morehowever, was unfamiliar to them (large Senegalese twists similar to Solange's box braids, but twisted). So I think it was my stylist's first time doing it. As a result, the braids were not neat or tight. The front looked good, but underneath many of my twists had my natural hair poking out from the twists. At first, I thought braid unraveling was normal for such large twists. However, when I got this style done again at a different shop no hair came out of twists AND they didn't unravel. And all my braids were the same size. I think these are great women. With more practice, African Elegance will be excellent!
