I booked my wedding (August 31, 2014) with them in June and they called me this weekend (July 20, 2014) to let me know they didn't realize my wedding was on Labor Day Weekend (even though we spoke about and signed a contract with the date on it) and they didn't have enough hairdressers to do my wedding. My interactions with them were very negative after booking my hair trial. When I arrived at the salon, Alexa, who seems to be in charge of weddings, was very rude and seemed, frankly, pissed off that I had a hair appointment. I found out that whoever booked my appointment had done it without checking with her which was probably why she was upset. When I had my trial done I liked my hair stylist a lot, she was very nice, but it didn't seem to be done like a real hairdo for my wedding - I asked for more hair spray but she didn't think I needed it. My hair fell out of its curls in less than 2 hours, at which point I had a makeup appointment next door. The people at the makeup place told me I should go back and ask that they redo it, because I was upset since the hairstyle was supposed to last all day. (My ceremony is at 4:30 PM, reception 6-11 PM, but pictures start at 2 PM, so my hair would've been out before my ceremony). I did go back and ask and they were reluctant to redo it, but told me I could come back at 2 PM. When I came back, they said they needed another half hour. Then they said I should come back at 3:15. I walked around Cohasset (am not from there so had nowhere to go) and they called at 3:00 to tell me to come in at 4:00. In the end I think they redid my hair at 4:30. I was happy with how long the hair lasted after that, and decided that since Alexa wasn't doing my hair I didn't need to worry about the strange interaction. Then Alexa called, said they didn't have hairdressers for me, and that she had known for a while but was trying to fix it. I told her she should have told me earlier since now my wedding is about a month away and I should have been trying to find somewhere to go. I called the Adamo Day Spa next door and they are going to accomodate me for the wedding day. Rudolph Adamo was supposed to work with them since we need 2 hairdressers, but they are now refusing. Overall: -Very unprofessional (didn't know date of wedding?) -Very rude (multiple angry interactions from Alexa) Just not what I think anyone would be interested in having for their wedding. Probably fine for more casual things. read more

I had a great experience at Rudolph Adamo. I had Jeanne and she was AWESOME!! My previous hair dresser moved and I was super nervous about trying someone new. Jeanne killed it! My hair turned out awesome! She was super easy to talk to and it was very relaxing. I also had a massage by Jesse after my hair appointment! That was very very relaxing! She was great!! I went for a haircut, and while she did a decent job, she didn't do any spectacular. She put basic layers in my long hair, didn't thin it out (event when asked) and blowed it dry. I wasn't going to go back, but 6 weeks later, I desperately needed another haircut (a good haricut usually lasts me 6-8 months). They had sent me a $20 off coupon, so I figured I would give them another try since the last haircut ($30) plus this cut would be les that what I usually pay on Newbury. I have a mop on my head now. I saw someone else, and she did a HORRIBLE job. I specifically said no short bangs, but long sideswept ones, and I have bangs that touch my eyes. My layers look ragged and dirty and lifeless - I have full bodied hair that isn't hard to do, but twice they have screwed it up! I will NEVER go back there. Don't waste your money! read more

This location of Rudolph Adamo is good, but not great. They seem very much like your stereotypical snobby, upscale hair salon. I had my hair cut here for awhile, just because I was new to the area and needed somewhere trustworthy. Their prices are kinda high, and they tend to rush people in and out fast. The stylists don't tend to know who you are- I found myself having to explain my hair to the same woman during the 4 times I visited her. The stylists don't seem to take risks or want to offer suggestion on what to do with your hair- it's the kind of place where it seems you need to know what you want done. The end result is good, but I was never really 'wowed.' Hate to say it, but there is a lot of pretentiousness here- I never really got a friendly vibe from this place. read more

I had my hair done here for my wedding (along with my wedding party), and while the girls who worked with us did a fine job on our hair (not the best, but not terrible if I'm honest) the service at the salon was quite terrible. Staff was downright rude at times and made us feel like we were in the way and a hassle for them to take care of that morning. When we checked out all of our bills were significantly more expensive than we were told they would be. I asked to speak to the owner about the bill she refused. Even after the wedding, when I called to ask about where the miscommunication happened, she would not come to the phone when the manager told her I was calling! I was amazed by her immaturity! I have no doubt that some of the stylists would do a great job with an individual's hair (we only dealt with a few of the staff members), but it was not a pleasant overall experience for us. read more

Rudolph Adamo is a great salon! Stephanie is an excellent stylist! She will cut your hair exactly as you want - no more/no less. I don't like salons where you tell them to give you a trim and 3 inches are gone. You want an inch off, that's all is taken, stylists don't decide for themselves what to do. The salon is great for kids as well, much better those kid places. The staff is friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend. read more

Wonderful cuts for kids and great prices. They do a real wash and hair cut for children. Looks great and the price is right. They even have some toys and kids books. For girls they also have glitter for their hair. Much better than other kids places -- wonderful professional cuts. read more

The bridal party that I was in went to this salon recently to get our hair and makeup done (makeup is done as a separate operation in the same space). When we first arrived the woman that greeted us was very accommodating of us and helped us set up tables for the food and drinks we brought. Things started to go down hill when we started getting our updos done. The bride had brought pictures of how she wanted the hair done which the stylists were shown. It was really hit or miss with the updos some of the girls hair turned out very lovely while others turned out poorly. One of the bridesmaids had a junior stylist/assistant working on her hair and the girl was clearly inexperienced and struggling. I ended up telling the stylist to take out the updo because it looked so horrible. Another stylist took over and saved the day because the junior stylist couldn't get it right. She also burned the bridesmaids ear in the process. For me personally I was very particular about how I wanted my updo to look and my stylist did an okay job at achieving it. By the time the ceremony rolled around I had to fix it for pictures because it did not photograph well. I was disappointed by our overall experience and I would not recommend this salon for bridal party hair or makeup. read more

Highly recommend. I have been going to Ciara for years and she is fantastic. She does such a great job with the color and the cut, and the prices are very reasonable for the area. I have naturally dark hair and she does the best highlights that look so natural. I've convinced all my friends, my mom, and her friends to go here too. You will not be disappointed! read more
