Just had the most amazing fascial by Kim at Salon Esprit. She is amazing. If your looking to pamper yourself she is the gal for you.. So relaxing/great vibe and you will look and feel fabulous. You know when you have an impulsive urge to chop off you hair and it needs to be done same day ? I searched online and found this hidden gem like two minutes away from my house. I took a chance and booked the first available appointment with the newest employee there according to the website. Abby did an amazing job! She was thorough and took her time. When I told her I wasn't sure of what length I should go with she suggested we start small and keep chopping off as we go since we can't add hair back. I loved that. She genuinely didn't seem like she was annoyed at me changing my length requirements. She didn't make me feel rushed at all! She understood I was tired from work and didn't push the talking but did try which I appreciated. She backed off when she saw I was not chatty. I love it when you find a good hair person who knows when to stop with the small talk. She did such a good job. I will be back for her to do my hair specifically ! read more

I have been going to Salon Esprit for over 30 years. Just about everyone has done my hair at one time or another and they are all amazing. I usually schedule my appointments with Karen unless she is unavailable. Each hairdresser knows all her clients by name and greets each one like a beloved family member. Actually, every hairdresser knows everyone who walks through the salon door. I can't say enough wonderful things about Salon Esprit. My husband has been going here for 30 years. My 26 year old daughter got her first hair cut here and she still comes home from Rhode Island when she needs a hair appointment. When I needed a change in my color, Karen suggested highlights. Maureen was the one who put the highlights in, and I've been getting compliments on how beautiful my hair is for the past 2 months. It was a joint effort. That's what I love the most. I like everything about Salon Esprit except the prices. Even with senior discounts the price is still high. The girls are wonderful. The service is great. Over the years you get to know them and they become salon friends. Heather has been my hairdresser for many years and I love that girl. Most awkward salon experience ever. I tipped heavily because I felt bad for the girl doing my hair as her co workers where EXTREMELY rude to her while she was doing my service and talking down on what I chose to do with my hair which in return made me uncomfortable. Love this salon. Everyone is very experienced, very competent, and very friendly. Most stylists have been there for years which tells you something about the organization. They all work well together and will step in to help eachother out if needed. I highly recommend any of the stylists. I personally have had Heather, Karen, Pam, and Maureen over the last 20 years. I go here for leg waxes. I've tried several of the less expensive places around and I now go exclusively to Jess at Salon Esprit. They have two kinds of wax-- an amber-colored wax that rolls on and a seafoam-colored wax that they apply with the sticks. I prefer the latter-- it seems to give a better wax. I find the waxes done by Jess at Salon Esprit last longer than any other place. She works very quickly, conversation is easy enough, the rooms is reasonably neat, clean, and comfortable. Occasionally she might miss a bit of hair on my legs but its understandable since its so fine. I just take a look before she finishes up and ask her to do a touch-up if I find any strays, no problem. Really, I can't rave about Salon Esprit because I haven't been to very many salons and I'm not willing to pay much more than I do (a half-leg is $25.) But for that money, I do not think you can find a better wax in the immediate area. I've had HORROR stories at other places in the area. Torn bleeding skin, burning hot wax, not enough wax to finish, totally sketchy rooms/tables.... never a problem at Salon Esprit. I'd call them consistently good at very reasonable prices. read more

I would never return here again. It's an okay salon. I got a gel mani and pedi done on Tuesday and by Friday my white polish is now yellow, how disgusting ! The gel mani is pretty much just polish, barley clean your nails. There is LIMITED colors for gel and regular polish. Barley any regular polish that matches the gel polishes. I was hoping to return in a month but now that my white polish is yellow, I will cancel my appointments. I am truly disappointed with my mani and pedi. read more

This is a little long, but it's all true. I have been coming to this salon for at least 15 years. EVERYBODY is fabulous. My hair person is Pam. I totally trust her opinions and judgment. I was at a point where I needed a real change. My hair was short and reddish brown (after all the greys were covered up, of course). She suggested letting my hair grow out and try a blond color. I told her to do her thing and just surprise me. She mixed a gorgeous color of blond - I've never been blond before - and I have stuck with it for years! Plus my hair is no longer short. It's about shoulder length. That's how much I love it. Recently, Kim, the owner, started offering facials. I jumped on that bandwagon, too. She was extremely helpful and honest about what she thought I needed. My stepson was getting married so we went the whole facial, mani/pedi route. Salon Esprit is one of my favorites. I have been going there since I was a little girl, and still try to get down there to this day as I now live in Northern Mass. Pam and Karen are my favorites and have been doing my hair my whole life. They are awesome with all the styles and colors plus have a nice easy going conversation through your entire visit to learn more about what you want as well as what would work best for you! Everyone there is extremely nice and they aren't too pricey considering the very few other places I've gone, but you mostly pay for the quality which lasts forever! read more

I used to get my eyebrows waxed all the time. I never had a problem until I went to salon esprit a couple years ago. A whole layer of skin tore off as she pulled the wax strip off. This just so happened to be the day before I was supposed to be leaving for Florida. It was extremely painful but I was told that it should be okay and without question, the woman brought me to the front and expected payment as normal. I was in so much pain, I just paid and got out of there. I am not normally someone to leave a bad review and maybe they have improved since then. But a couple years later (today), I have issues with that same area of skin over my eye. I cannot wax that eyebrow anymore and it is sensitive to all sorts of topical creams. It has altered my life in the sense that I never know when it's going to start bothering me again. Sometimes it gets so bad that the skin will hang over my eye and feel exactly like it did the day it first happened. When this happens, it stops me from daily tasks and activities due to pain and poor vision from needing to squint. Anyway, I know the woman wasn't intending to hurt me. I'm sure they do a great job normally. I should have spoken up when I had the chance. If this happens to you, I suggest you speak up before it's too late. read more
