My cat went for a checkup a few days before our vacation, and it was determined that he now needs daily medication. Ack!!! I have been using Got Paws for about two years now. They are an incredibly run business. The owner is very organized and skilled regarding pets and owners needs on a daily basis. I use two walkers Monday through Friday, twice daily. They have never failed to show up on time. If there is ever a time when one can't show, there is an alternative walker that is always available. (Sometimes my dogs are lucky to have the owner, Nikki, show up.) Every visit end comes with a text message to me regarding my dogs potty habits, eating habits, and the adventures they had on their walks. I loved everything about the care given to my dog Bullet while I was out of town for a long weekend. The time Amanda took to meet and get to know Bullet was more then I could have asked for. Bullet is "sometimes" a protective dog, but Amanda is truly a pro, and my fears where gone after our consultation. I never worried about him while I was away. The pictures and text Amanda sent of Bullet on walks, playing ball, or taking a nap made me so so happy. First time we used this service Lauren looked after our pets full time and we were very pleased. We returned home to a happy dog and cat :-) and so used them again. Unfortunately our second time was the complete opposite!!! We returned home to neglected pets and a home needing a good clean. Our kitchen floor was covered in dried pee!!! We also experienced one of the sitters letting in strangers to use our bathroom and the sitter having a sleep on the sofa rather than caring for our pets and letting them out to toilet. Security cameras tell no lies! We so wish we had Lauren full time again but alas that was not the case. Safe to say we would never use them again after this. read more

My husband and I are new to California and were unsure of who to have watch our two elderly cats while we went on a short trip. I researched my options online and found Got Paws? website and contacted them to set up a consultation. The owner of the company Nikki and our sitter Amanda came to our home to meet the cats and go over the care of them with me. One our cats has chronic kidney disease and is required to have fluids administered subcutaneously three times a week. During our trip he would need to be taken to the vet for the treatment and this wasn't an issue at all. The experience was great, both Nikki and Amanda took great care of our boys. Nikki and Steven are the best. We have 4 chihuahuas and never worry when leaving our babies in their care. We get daily care while working and our dogs look forward to the visits. Sometimes on weekends around 1-2pm (when Steven normally comes during the week) , the dogs will go sit or peek out the door to see if he's there. This review is not just for Got Paws but our actual sitter Amanda as well. From the very start everything has been as easy as possible. Nikki (the owner) and Amanda (our walker/sitter) both came out home and introduced themselves to us and my two K-9 units. After the initial visit everything can be done online (billing,scheduling,contacting...ect...). Amanda has been incredible, my wife and I are the king and queen of last minute trips and she has always been very accommodating regardless of how wishy washy our plans can be. We get our daily pictures and text letting us know everything is going well. Our K-9's love her, which is saying a lot because my dogs dont like anyone. When only the BEST will do, Got Paws is for you. Nikki and Qwn took care of our blind, diabetic Westie Tucker and did an OUTSTANDING job. They were able to give him his daily shots of insulin. Nikki even took the time to learn Tuckers daily walking pattern......which is priceless because Tucker is blind, so his routine is important. We were given daily updates via text. Tucker seemed so happy with his daily Spa like treatments.........that we were thinking he may be upset when we came home. In the past we have boarded Tucker at his Vets due to his special needs. But our friends told us about Nikki and how well she had care for ALL their animals........so we were excited to try Got Paws out. What a awesome experience it was for all of us. We knew Tucker was being walked, fed and given daily belly rubs. We were able to be out of town and enjoying ourselves, knowing that Tucker was able to be in his own home and walking his own path daily. Got Paws even picked up our mail while we were gone. I can't say enough about how great Nikki and Amanda were with my dogs. My terriers are high strung and nervous, but they were immediately taken with Nikki and Amanda. I even told Amanda a walk would be nice, but that my dogs are aggressive when walking, but she took them and said they were well behaved and great. When we were gone to NYC, Amanda sent updates every day, and twice sent photos. We have always had our parents drive in from the Antelope Valley to take care of the dogs, but there is a big difference having these pros take care of our mutts. They also bring in the mail and papers making it look like someone is hone. Amanda is wonderful with our dogs. This is a great service you should take advantage of. read more

Got Paws? is hands down the best pet sitter in Santa Clarita. We have been using their services for a year now. Nikki, the owner, is responsive and attentive. Amanda, our personal sitter, is awesome! Before our first sitting, they both came to our home to meet our dog and go over his food/medication/schedule. Now I can just email Nikki and request service and it is take care of. Amanda sends me a text and sometimes even a picture :) at every visit to give us a quick update on how he's doing. He loves his walks and attention time with them. The decision to use a pet sitting service for the first time was extremely difficult. We are not only leaving our precious cat Spunky in the hands of someone we do not know, but we are also trusting this person with our home. Nikki and Haley did a walk through about 1 week before our departure. They took copious notes as we explained all the quirky details they need to know in order to begin giving us the comfort we needed to allow us to take some time away from home. Spunky is a scaredy cat. She hides when to doorbell rings and has never allowed anyone else touch her. Each day Haley texted a detailed report of each visit and included a picture of Spunky in one of her favorite hiding places. We knew how much she ate each day and whether she used the box. This was extremely comforting and helped increase our confidence. By the 5th day until the last, Spunky came out from hiding and allowed Haley to pet her. This is monumental. I have a rabbit and was worried about finding someone who knows their special care needs. (before I got one I just assumed they could be left alone for a few days LOL). We had a pre-vacation visit and neither Bettina or Nikki batted an eye when I was explaining hay, staisis bloat etc. They knew about it and even added a couple great suggestions. So while I was gone for 9 days I actually enjoyed my time instead of worrying. I got daily texts, a video one day and my rabbit was almost sorry to see me come home because she so well treated. Bettina definitely went way above and beyond. She treats animals as if they were her own and she knows how to deal with nervous owners too. I cannot recommend this place enough. Recently use Got Paws to watch our cat for a few weeks while we were away on vacation. Had initial consultation with Nikki and Julie who were very thorough in making sure they had all necessary information to properly care for our cat, and home alike. Julie came to our home twice daily. She not only fed the cat, but played with her, administered medicine, and even brought in our mail. In addition, she sent periodic text messages updating us as to how things were going back home, with some of the messages including pictures of out favorite fur ball. Our geriatric Boston Terrier is a bit of a high-maintenance grump. We love him, but due to his age, we can't leave him alone longer than 6-8 hours. Nikki and Amanda have been so good to him. They show up on time, sincerely love on our little guy, care for his food needs (when needed, and when it is needed, it's a long and fussy process), and text pics of his little face to us. Just got back from a 10 day vacation, and usually a family member comes and stays with our 2 dogs, but it was getting harder to get them to commit with their busy schedules. Looking for a pet sitter for our guinea pigs and fish, which they advertise they handle besides the typical cats and dogs. This was about a week before our vacation. Filled out the online steps to set up an intro appt. for possible use during a vacation. Then was asked to fill out all the detailed paperwork on each pet, which I did, before actually receiving a phone call. Now comes the real problem. When Nicki called me she says the pet sitter they chose has no guinea pig experience, I was a little concerned. As an advertiser of pet sitting for smaller pets (and lists a bunch), I would have thought someone would have experience with rabbits atleast if not guinea pigs, which have similar eating, habitat and body types which are vary different from lets say...a hamster. One of my gp's is a senior and I was just informing her that it is important to know what these types of pets are like and what someone would need to look out for. It was meant to be more of an informational discussion and then she said something that completely shocked me....she said she thought that this probably would not be a good fit then. I then told her I was not expecting my gp to die or anything and that I was just providing info and giving her a scenario difference between two different pets as they are completely different in their care situations. Then she proceeded to tell me....well there are other pet sitters out there and maybe one of them can help me. I tried a different service, last year where I took my gp's to them, and they did not thrive as well as I had hoped.....which is why I was excited and then completely disappointed in this route. I have come across many people over the years in SCV that own gp's. Perhaps if she decided to improve the guinea pig sitting side of the business, she will one day consult with me for information and training. Unfortunately for her, we also have a dog (that we are taking on this trip), but we will never use under this pet sitting service either. read more
