We had a hall of a time

Not to be confused with Got Ham Hall, which is the hall that is full of pork products and such. This is a pretty fantastic concert venue and one of the old style ones which is smaller and more intimate and also really impressive on many levels. Barbie and I came here recently. We both really like it and I'm hoping to see lots more shows here in future, even though I've only been here once so far.

Recently attended an award show with my company at Gotham Hall. Overall, the event was great. There were two bars set up with two bartenders each. I frequented the one with Andy, he was great! For the reception hour, we were confined to the bar area and weren't allowed to walk around by the tables. The area that we were in, was quite small and everyone was constantly running into each other. It was great when they let us by the tables and we could sit down and still mingle. The food was perfect and everyone at my table enjoyed it. There were a lot of servers waiting on the tables so there was always someone near by to assist. At the end of the event, people left periodically so there wasn't a mad rush to get out, thankfully. I would say the only bad part was the packed reception hour with no where to sit.

I had the opportunity to attend the Watch Time show at the Gotham Hall venue. It is located in Manhattan, with easy access to buses, trains, parking garages and taxis. The building is older architecture and very grand. The high domed ceiling is breathtaking but unfortunately echoes sound which makes lots of talk in the room quite loud. There is a balcony which looks out over the auditorium floor. I have no idea how much it costs to rent this facility but if you want to make a high class impression, Gotham Hall is the place to do it.

Fun night!

Ah the glory of Gotham. There aren't too many places like this left. From the imposing entrance at the corner of the block to the stout, yet friendly security team that seamlessly lurk in the dark corners this place screams, in a muted whisper, the grandeur of all things vintage and charming. The mystique of watching this place transform for each event is a luxury afforded to it's employees only. Even if you happen to be hosting, they will allow you entry only after the basic accommodations have been met. Akin to an opera singer prior to a show, no secrets must be revealed. I love that they can do so based on their expert attention to detail and professional staff. The staff is both professional, yet approachable. Despite the large crowd that this venue can hold in the main room and in the multiple alcoves/rooms, there is never a worry as the space is ample (think fairytale ballroom). It goes without saying that the place is immaculate, carpets are rich and plush, and the floor is heel/stiletto friendly. Catering is also well executed. All of the items in the four course dinner were delectable and service was well timed. (Sadly, there are no food pictures because in this environment it is just uncouth). Bar service was efficient, quick and courteous. I can honestly say I enjoyed every aspect of the evening and if forced to sum it up in one word: superb. Old school charm that makes the hustle and bustle of the City disappear must be acknowledged. I would recommend for any special event/occasion and I cannot wait to return.

NYUCD held a Halloween Party here and it was JAW DROPPING amazing. This place is huge and so beautiful. I loved the high ceiling, tall columns and subtle lighting. The music was pumping. The servers at the bar were friendly and quick. All of us had a great time here. This is definitely a gorgeous hall to hold any type of event.

The 70' ceilings and existing lighting rig enable the lighting designer to make magic in this building.

Recently we produced the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance' STYLE LAB event at Gotham Hall. If you are considering hosting your next event at Gotham Hall, I can tell you Allan Kurtz and his team are all top notch. They went above and beyond the call of duty time and time again. From the beginning, it truly felt like they were a partner to our event. The food was delicious, the displays were all on point. James Bell and his lighting team from Bentley Meeker really know how to get the most out of the 70' ceilings and can make the building look spectacular. We give Gotham Hall our highest recommendation and I look forward to the next event we can host there. Todd Cooper Partner TOAST www.aTOASTevent.com

Spectacular venue. I keep hearing people say this place hosts some of the best parties, weddings, and events. Now I know why. The Romanesque style gives it an unforgettable tone. The backdrop looks regal. You can change the backdrop style to hide the columns or even play them up. When you come into the main room it feels like you stepped into another dimension. I came here for the Style Fashion Week. The set-up looks amazing. The large space allows people to move from one room to the next. In the foyer, you see people taking photo ops with models. Even though many people attended this fashion show, it never felt uncomfortable. If I decide to plan an event in New York, I would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful space with a stellar in house staff to boot! Planned a celebrity charity gala here recently and it was a huge success. Guests loved the venue and every staff member at Gotham made our event memorable all in the best ways possible. They have a second level with a big balcony that overlooks the main ballroom and also smaller rooms that could be used for private green rooms and such. Using their exclusive in house vendors for AV and catering went without a hitch as well. Can't wait to plan another event here!

The Quick: Gorgeous venue for galas, holiday parties, and fancy events of all occasions. Food was very good, but the focus is really on the high ceilings and how picturesque everything is. Not quite the plaza but definitely up there.

My head was on a SWIVEL ready for someone bursting through a door with an axe. I was completely lost looking for "Room #4," and began to spiral. I soon realized that I just took the wrong elevator, and found the room pretty easy once I took the correct elevator lol. Once I gathered my composure and found Room #4, I could finally appreciate how stunningly beautiful this place was. It is like an Oligarch's MANSION straight from the 19th century. It's tasteful luxury, when luxury meant more than just cookie cutter modern architecture. They had an open bar and some bomb horderves all night, with my favorite being this fresh tuna on top of a cucumber. I ate like 30 of them. Me and the lady in a tuxedo walking around with the tray became well acquainted. I honestly have no real idea what this place is, but I imagine it's a members only club where the rich and famous gather to make important decisions. That's the vibe at least. Kinda eerie. I was a guest of a member during the 18-inch snow storm, so I wore my $500 dollar suede Danner lights (Made in the USA) to manage the snow. Upon entry, I was informed by the staff that, due to the suede being too light, it looked too much like Timberland boots, which are banned. I was professionally whisked to a backroom, where I was offered to wear black loafers 3 sizes too large if I wanted to make my appointment. I spent the rest of my time skipping through the venue in order to not trip over myself, wearing massively oversized shoes. I would have been okay with this footwear restriction if it was universally enforced, but there were plenty of people in the club wearing duck boots, metal hook leather hiking boots, and even the same type of boots of a slightly darker shade. Apparently, the shoe shade restriction was not something members are aware about (the no sneakers restriction is well known). I have previously been a guest here with positive experiences. However, today I was put in an illogically unsafe experience, forced to wear loaner shoes 3 sizes too large, because $500 lighter suede boots are deemed less classy than duck boots for being too"Timberland like" during a snow storm.

Afterwards, we went to the second floor for dinner. The dining area was very grand. We were seated right away. Even though it was peak dining hours, the space was pretty empty. Service throughout the meal was exceptional. The wait staff was so attentive and friendly. The food on the other hand was not the best. It stated off strong with a bread basket. The bead was warm and tasty with delicious butter on the side to spread on it. For my meal, I ordered a French onion soup and lobster tail Cobb salad. The FRENCH ONION SOUP was unfortunately quite watery and bland. The LOBSTER TAIL COBB SALAD was ok. There were a good amount of toppings on the salad and the portion was huge. But the main star, the lobster tail, was ice cold, rubbery and also very bland. All in all, even though the space is beautiful and service is impeccable, the food is just ok - really wish there was a bit more flavor to the dishes.

It looked like the elite Manhattan 5th Ave crowd would frequent this with its privacy. The club has an initiation fee of 10k from what I hear. The top restaurant has an amazing view of the city from the terrace. I would have loved to sit out there and eat if it wasn't winter and wasn't closed.
