Came in to see Dr. Alvarez for an annual week visit (as required by my Medicare Advantage insurance…read morecompany). I had to fill out several pages of forms prior to seeing the Doctor. These were forms to be completed by hand (not digital, old school) and then had to be entered manually by the receptionist. I was a new patient and it would have been nice to have completed these forms online, prior to my visit. My appointment was set for 10:00. I did not get in the back for my triage until 10:30 and did not see the Doctor until after 11:00. They do not use a digital scales or blood pressure machines. Medical devices could use some updating. They required me to have an EKG, even though I expressed that I did not want one. They told me they would not bill my insurance and that it was for internal use only and was required by the Doctor. The examining room had rules on the wall and advertising for allergy testing, with two notices to turn your phone off as well as a referral policy. No artwork. The lobby was also decorated with policies on all the walls. Although, they did have lots of brochures for services and magazines on the waiting area. Now for my visit with Dr. Alvarez... the Doctor had a wonderful bedside manner. He was warm and friendly. Dr. Alvarez gave me a thorough exam and gave me some good medical advice. He spent a fair amount of time with me, I did not feel rushed. I would highly recommend Dr. Alvarez to anyone seeking a solid primary care physician.

When someone is unaware and needs to be educated you do not hang up on them, you correct them. It is common knowledge to say goodbye before ending a call. Just normal manners. Which they have NONE!!! He directly stated that he "would die" if he had a procedure, without providing clear explanations or showing empathy. Furthermore, he didn't allow discussion of high blood pressure, ignoring a serious concern. To make matters worse, the patient needed a prescription for his blood pressure, and they refused to give it with the excuse that "his doctor had never prescribed it," even though it's clearly recorded in the system. Very strange and totally irresponsible. As I told the secretary on the phone, I hold them responsible for anything that happens to my father starting yesterday. 8/21/2025 11:15 am I'm giving it because you can't give zero stars; if you could, I wouldn't give him one.

Ugh, I feel like I spent a lot of time at this place and never really got many answers. So, back in…read moreFebrurary, I started to break out into these hives all over my arms and legs. I had no clue what was going on but I kept getting them every morning. I wanted to get answers because they were obviously irritating and uncomfortable. Basically, I set up an appointment after a week of hives and was told by the Doctor that I had chronic hives. I wanted to know what was causing them and he said the only way to find out was to avoid eating foods high in histamines. I stayed away from high histamine foods for two weeks and continued to break out on schedule. I went back and continued to ask why I was getting hives. He said he did not know but that I could do a $500 allergy test to determine what I was allergic to, possibly calling the hives. I told the doctor based on my prior knowledge that I've done this test before when I was younger and I'm allergic to: Dogs (shedding) and Cats, dust mites, mold, and amoxicillin. He pressured me into doing it anyway and I would have to wait another week. So after a week of waiting I went back in on a Saturday morning. The test took about five minutes and the results came back very fast. Guess what guys?? It turns out, I was allergic to: Dogs (shedding) and Cats, dust mites, mold. GROUND BREAKING!!! So, I said, "Yeah, I knew this already. So what is causing my hives to appear every morning at 7:30 and to last thirty minutes?" He said, "I don't know, we might never know." Me: ..... I ended up having to pay $500 for results I already knew and to this day I still have hives, but not as daily anymore, but I still do not know what is causing them. I feel like I spent a lot of money here and really got no answers. So, I would not recommend coming to this facility. The doctor did not have the best bedside manner, rushed through appointments, seemed rather indifferent most of the time and lacked any empathy of helping me find answers to my medical problems.

Dr. Lacombe is very thorough and I never feel like she just rushed through the exam. My only complaint is the wait time. I've only had to go once a year, so at the end of the day it's not a make or break it situation.
