I did not get a phone call at all telling me that my appt was cancelled! pulled my boys out of school.. had to psych them up (my 5 yr old last had a crown on so was crying about getting his teeth cleaned and my 4 yr old was first time getting teeth cleaned) to drive an hour for them to tell me my appt was cancelled?! I am not one to cry but things on my life were hectic.. I cried and was so upset! I opened my mail 2 weeks prior seeing a bill and thought.. ohh I'll pay that when I go there in two weeks! Office boss pulled me in her office we talked, I said I'd call the Wausau office when I got home and she said they would try to fit the boys in for a cleaning when I called back.... fast forward to two days ago. I called there to get my boys set up for routine cleanings. They tell me they need to get ahold of their manager bc my bill went to collections and they need approVal! call me back within 5 mins, leave me a message saying they can no longer accept my boys as patients bc my account has gine to collections!!!!!!!!! Then they tell me to contact the insurance number to see what other pediatric number is in network... guess what.. you are the only one!!!! Now what?! I have to drive 2 hours for my boys to get dental care?!! Really?! make me pay before I leave maybe?!!!! Sooo soooooooo upsetting!!!! Then I was suppose to get reimbursed the first time when I had different insurance after they submitted my bill to insurance bc I paid right away and never got reimbursed anything!

I moved to a different practice. It was a lie. Someone from my office with the same insurance company and coverage told me they love our insurance because it pays for all services; the exact opposite they told me. I understand that people have the right to refuse a service, but to lie about it feels UTTERLY unprofessional and very disappointing. We didn't do anything to deserve this treatment. I feel like they discriminated against my origin and skin color. We're living strange times for sure. Also for those who are wondering, no, we weren't admonished or called out for any reason or misbehavior. I wish they would have been honest and said they didn't want our business. Did great with my little one an made quite the impression, considering my little man is asking to go back. Yeah my FOUR year old wants to go back. The dental hygienist were great as well, showering us with hospitality. Brown FAMILY dentistry should be all that's said when it comes to teeth repairs. When our then 8 yr old son broke his both of his front teeth (at 7 PM), I called around all over the Sheboygan and surrounding areas and could not find anyone who offered emergency, after-hours, dental care. Mind you, we were NOT patients at this office. However, the dentist CALLED me back personally and offered to see our son THAT night at the office. She even asked if we would mind if she brought a babysitter to the office for her own three children so she could concentrate on our child!! Afterward, we immediately switched our Pediatric Dental Provider to Just Kids Dental. I can personally highly recommend their services.

My children have been patients at Children's Dental Health since they were tiny children - 17 years…read morepossibly. My kids really liked Dr. Mark Steinmetz, he was incredibly personable. After his retirement I took my teens their for their cleanings and Dr. Claudia came out to the waiting room to talk to me and she stood over me and in less than 30 seconds she said there were no problems and she'd see us in 6 months. There was no friendliness or warmth from this lady, almost like I was wasting her time. When my 18 year old came out of the room my daughter looked at me at shook her head no. When we got to the car my daughter started crying and said Dr. Claudia was extremely rude towards her because she was 18 and had to clean her teeth instead of the assistant. Dr. Claudia made rude comments towards my daughter during the cleaning. Dr. was extremely aggressive during the cleaning and my daughter experience very swollen gums for a couple of days after the cleaning. We never had an experience like this with Dr. Steinmetz. He said the kids could stay on through college, but we've already moved to another dentist. If you're looking for a warm and caring dentist this is no longer the place.

Now she had to go yesterday, she needs braces but needed teeth pulled, teeth filled, teeth capped. She had to have anasthesia as it took 3 1/2 hrs. It is very pricey even with insurance. My major issue is they gave her ZERO pain meds because that is their policy. So they suggest Tylenol & ibuprofen alternately. It did NOTHING for her pain. She woke up crying in pain. I finally gave her benydril just so she could sleep. she woke up a half in hour ago still in so much pain and crying. It hurts to even touch her face. From this experience it is going to be impossible to get her to go again. I will not take her back. For what I paid and that they are Childs dentist pain med should have been a given. Had she only needed a little work I could agree with their pollicy, but 3 1/2 hours??? 4 teeth pulled? No pain med. So if you want you child's experience to be bad go to them. I would call any dentist and find out their policies on pain meds for a child before going. Sadly I liked this dentist. That being said, my kids have great teeth, but after the visit, the hygienist says that my kids have cavities and one even needs a crown. This was suggested without even speaking with an actual dentist or having them review the x-rays. I got a second opinion from another dentist who told me that one of my children only had one cavity, not two, and that the one that supposedly needed a crown really doesn't and that would be quite the stretch. Basically, the office is simply lying and exaggerating to make money off their clients. I will absolutely NEVER GO BACK!!!

I immediately said I wasn't comfortable with that at my child's age and asked if we should cancel the appointment. I was reassured that the policy wasn't strict and wouldn't be pushed. Fast forward to the appointment: after checking in, we were taken to a consult room, and they told me they were going to take my child to the back. I reminded them that I had clearly stated I did not want to be separated. The hygienist left to get the dentist, who came in and listened as I explained my concerns. I said I was open to gradually working toward independent visits, but for this first one, I needed to be present. The dentist responded by saying we might not be a good fit and refused to see my child unless I agreed to be separated. The whole situation left me extremely uncomfortable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone.
