There's a lot of interesting and good information, and I liked the people. But.... The first half of the tour is in an old mini bus. The bus has tiny windows, like 4" square, and no air circulation. No fans. No air conditioning. Today was nearly 90 out by 10 am, when our tour started, and temperatures inside the bus got so hot that stepping out felt cool! You don't travel far, and then they stop for 10 minutes to talk about what's out the window. It's brutal. Ironically, the travel distances are so slim most people could walk it. But, just sitting on the bus in the heat? Yuck. The second half is in an old shed where you learn about harvesting. Again, it could be interesting, but it's a good 10° hotter, even with the fans going, and it makes it hard to focus. Or even listen. Better weather would have helped. But, we had an old lady in our tour group nearly pass out, and the guide indicated that that was not uncommon. Heck, complimentary water would be nice. Waters are a dollar. The tour is fifteen. It's all cash only.

Dear Jen,…read more We cannot thank you enough for coordinating a perfect trip to Disneyland during February vacation week! Our family had a terrific time, and we were truly able to enjoy all aspects of our experience because you guided, advised and organized us so well before leaving. All of your recommendations were spot on. We loved the hotel you chose for its ease of access to the parks and because it provided the perfect space for all of us. Advising us to make dinner reservations in advance was critical after long days and lots of walking in the parks! Explaining how the Fast Pass system worked allowed us to fit in all the highlighted rides and attractions at least once, if not more. Your tip sheets and itinerary listings of parades, etc. proved most helpful as they were filled with details that made the parks more easily manageable. We truly felt like our trip mattered to you and we are forever appreciative of your time and energy spent booking. Despite knowing we could call Disney directly to book this trip, we are so glad we instead called you. It didn't cost us anything extra, yet you provided us with more than we could have imagined! Thank you for making this a memorable experience!! Best, The Kaye Family

My family spent our Thanksgiving holiday at Disney World this year. There were eight of us, six…read moreadults and two children, ages 5 and 7. We went for five days. The last time any of us had been in Disney World was over 10 years ago. Disney has changed a lot since then. Everyone who heard we were going to Disney gave us advice, the best rides, restaurants, shows, and hotels. It was all very much appreciated, but also completely overwhelming. We heard about meal plans, fast passes, snack points, and photopacks. We needed some guidance. A friend of mine recommended we talk to Jen Zinno from Mickey Adventures. What is Mickey Adventures? Well if it is anything to make the magical world of Disney easier to navigate... sign us up! Jen Zinno is the Jedi Knight of Disney World. You might think I am embellishing a bit here, and for those of you Star Wars fans, I am not taking the Jedi name in vain. Seriously though, Jen made our trip to Disney the most perfect, stress-free, fantastic vacation we could have imagined. To start Jen booked everything, and I mean everything, for us; hotels, meals, transportation, and shows. There are certain activities you need reservations for, and the park, I believe, allows you to make these reservations 180 days in advance. Before our 180 days to Disney hit, Jen was consulting with us as to what we want to see, what shows not to miss, and how to coordinate them into our trip. On the 180th day before Disney hit, Jen reserved and planned everything that needed to be done. She handled everything with ease, sending us confirmations, and any other information we may need about the activities. A few weeks before our trip, Jen sent us, both in email and hard copy, our itinerary and all reservations. Now I have seen itineraries before. A list of where you go each day, what to do, blah blah blah.... This itinerary was so amazing and detailed, it not only blows all other itineraries out of the water, it may in fact need a name greater than just "itinerary". We received a list, day by day of which park to do which day, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot. Then for each day, depending on the park, Jen listed how to actually work our way through the park, ensuring we did every ride we wanted to do, saw every show we wanted to, and even repeat some of the amazing rides. She guided us through when and where to use our fast passes and good places to stop for meals and snacks. Now you may be thinking, really do you really need to follow this list. Well let me tell you from personal experience FOLLOW THE LIST. Here is where the Jedi comes in. If we stuck to our list, we did everything, we did not wait in lines, and we missed nothing. Keep in mind we were at Disney over Thanksgiving, a pretty busy time. With Jen's directions as to how to fast pass which rides and what rides to do while waiting for your fast pass reservation time, we hit them all! We walked by people waiting in line for Thunder Mountain for 85 minutes! We got on in 5. The same thing happened all week long. When your list says "If the line at Pirates of the Caribbean splits, stay left, it is faster" YOU STAY LEFT! This woman knows what she is taking about. So in closing, thank you thank you thank you Jen Zinno and Mickey Adventures. You made our trip to Disney all that and more. Disney is still that magical place you thought it was when you were a kid, and Jen, with her magic, will be able to keep it that way. Just STICK TO THE LIST.

We arranged to spend a couple of nights in Galway, a few nights in Dublin and then fly to Edinburgh, Scotland for the remainder of the trip. We didn't rent a car and decided to travel between Galway and Dublin via Irish Rail. We asked P&H to book train tix for 5 adults and were quoted approximately $400. Thinking this was pricey, we booked tix with Irish Rail for less than $90 for 5 adults. Additionally, we received no advance warning that Ireland doesn't have Uber - very necessary without a car. We learned from our car service driver to download an app that books taxis for all of Ireland. This would have been helpful information to know in advance. We also asked P&H to pre-pay for breakfast for each day of our trip. In reviewing the travel dox, we noticed our stay in Dublin didn't include breakfast. We needed to ask, again to book breakfast. When we checked into the hotel in Edinburgh we learned our reservation didn't include breakfast. Really? We asked it be booked for our stay; not part of it. We also asked specifically that our tour to Loch Ness include the boat tour. While on our way to Loch Ness I emailed asking whether we had boat tour tix. Even allowing for the 5 hours time difference, we didn't hear back from P&H until after our tour was finished (I confirmed with the Loch Ness booking office that our tour didn't include the boat tour. I needed to pay 80 pound out-of-pocket to arrange for the tour). I emailed P&H and included the email specifically asking the Loch Ness boat tour be included. The responses I received were evasive and unclear. Additionally, I asked for an itemized bill and never received one. Additionally, the hotel in Edinburgh was under construction both inside and out. Also, our flight from Dublin to Edinburgh was delayed and we missed out 190 pound Edinburgh Castle tour. I tried reasoning with the tour operator, Viator and got nothing but aggravation. I felt that P&H was disinterested in helping us and my calls and emails were an annoyance. Thinking over the experience, I would not book through P&H again. I recommend you don't either.

Some people may think booking through a Travel Agent is so out-of-date- but it really takes the stress out of planning/searching- AND you don't pay an extra fee to book through them, instead you just get awesome rates and expertise. Both times I have worked with Ellen. She is fantastic- she has great taste, she's honest about different resorts and vacation spots, and she's super easy to communicate with. Most of the time we went back and forth via e-mail, and then we would talk on the phone when we got closer to confirming the trip! She came recommended from a friend who also booked a Spring Break trip- so not only did I have a great experience, my friend did as well. I highly recommend giving P&H a call if you are planning an international vacation- especially if you have a large group and want to make sure everyone books the same dates/location. You've got nothing to lose by calling- oh, except for the stress of researching, planning, and booking.
