The attendant was very welcoming. The place is very cozy...old school style. Unfortunately, they have a very limited selection of cigars. The humidor is large and practically empty. The wife and myself visited this place last weekend. This place was nice, and we thought it was unique they had multiple rooms on 2 floors for you to hang out. We stayed and enjoyed our cigars there and enjoyed the comfortable chairs. Next time we get free from daily activities, we will be back. read more

Went to the Reynoldsburg location 7-26-2025 and it was absolutely horrible. I have more cigars in my humidor than they have in the whole store. I hope no one ever goes to this place looking for a variety selection of cigars. They may have had 12 boxes in the whole building. Not only that but the price range was extremely high for basic cigars. Oliva V and My Father Blue were the best 2 boxes in the building. They have a great selection of cigars and always have great recommendations. The different rooms to smoke in are fun and well decorated. An interesting "hideout" just off the main drag (Pardon the pun) in downtown Westerville. I discovered it while on my way to visit another business nearby and decided to pop in and take a look. There are a couple of comfortable seating areas for lounging in rooms adjacent to the main sales room. It features a variety of pipe and other smoking supplies, and a spacious and well stocked walk-in humidor. The operator is quite courteous and helpful. Worth a visit if you are into cigar or pipe culture. read more

I stopped into town for business and looked for a cigar lounge to spend time in while I was waiting for my hotel room to be available in Dublin. I came here early in the day and was greeted by the shop attendant that treated me was if I was a regular. I point that out since there are some cigar shops I've visited across the country that are very click-ey. I felt welcome and was able to tour the humidor without an escort leering over my shoulder while I made my selection. When I checked out I let him know I was going to hang out a bit and needed to get some work done. He was excited to point out that they had two desks upstairs for remote workers. What?! This was totally unexpected!! I made my way upstairs and set up my laptop and plugged it into the monitor mounted on the wall. I spent the day there and really enjoyed my time. This cigar lounge included a kitchenette, private rooms, and general lounge downstairs. I highly recommend anyone to stop by and pay this place a visit. This will now be my go to place anytime I'm back in the Columbus area. read more

Place was always a little cliquish, but I think the straw that broke the camel's back for me was buying $135 in cigars and then having the guy say I stole a $8 dollar cigar..............even when he looked at his video and my electronic receipt he was insisted that I had stole a single. The irony is for this spot I never do singles one and two because they do carry different stuff and their pricing is higher than most I only buy in bulk from them to justify my spending..... Anyway after that, I am done with this spot as well as the Dublin spot which is super cool and Barclay down in Upper Arlington, no sure if La Chevata is part of that group but if so, done with them too. Was in the area for a week on business. I wish I would have found this place sooner. It is located in a nice area, parking was not a problem. I found what I was looking for in the humidor. Place has plenty of comfortable seats and T.V.'s. As with most shops it has its regulars. I just wanted to sit and enjoy my smokes and watch golf. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. If you want a great selection, helpful staff and a properly maintained humidor, this is your place. New ownership has made drastic improvements, and truly love what they do. They have educational events with vendors and suppliers. Governo's is now in the top 3 cigar shops in Columbus. If you are a beginner or buying cigars for a friend this is the place to go as the staff and owners are knowledgeable and won't steer you wrong. If you are an aficionado they have sticks you can't get elsewhere at reasonable prices, as well as limited edition cigars. They have improved ventilation and are making other great improvements. If you are a pipe smoker, they have you covered with a quality selection and some beautiful pipes that make you want to get a new fancy one. Having dealt with the owners in other endeavors, they are bringing professionalism back to the shop, so expect regular hours and advanced notice on events and specials. Have to enthusiastically agree with Roy Z's review: "Place is great since new owners took possession." At all price points, the cigar selection is more then just ample. But just as important, there are multiple highly comfortable seating sites, several of which are semi-private and idea if you want to enjoy a cigar while attempting to get some work accomplished. But, for me, the most salutary feature of this comfortable shop is the opportunity to interact with the group of "regulars" who frequent the shop in the late afternoon and early evening. Often, the conversations in the front lounge are better then those I remember from my college dormitory days. In sum, Governors is simple a great place. read more
