As a guy who does alot of cooking I like to use a wide variety of ingredients in all of My food. It helps to keep things different instead of the same old kinda meals, I tend to get bored real quick of average bland tasting foods. Update: my food delivery was damaged in transit. When I called my wholesale club they are reshipping everything except the two cases of Goya Black Beans. They are out of stock now. My Goya review is for the Goya Company Headquarters and foods they make. I have developed a relationship with the corporate office at this location since my review was removed twice. I called them recently expressing my concerns over the political hoopla. I also asked for coupons like I always do when I call a business. I have first hand knowledge of their products because I eat them practically daily! When you visit the fine State of New Jersey I suggest you visit this place if you're a fan of Goya or feel the need to speak to them for other reasons. Raise your voice pro or con directly to the people in charge of Goya. As I have said twice before I've been eating their products as long as I can remember. Right now I have lots of canned beans on hand and my Olive Oil. I love the pop tops on the cans they're so convenient. The sale prices are excellent. On sale I can get Five cans of beans for $4.00. I can buy cases of beans at my wholesale warehouse and give them to the underserved waiting in the food line in my neighborhood. I love the variety of beans. I'm easily bored eating only black beans. I like the quality of the Olive Oil which is reasonably priced. I recently purchased the Pimento Olives through my delivery service. It's the only brand they carry. They were okay in my salad. Try their products and judge for yourself. You can buy Goya at your grocery store and Wholesale Warehouse. Or if you choose you can boycott them. It's your decision. I stumbled upon this place months ago when making a wrong turn off of County Rd in Secaucus. As I am not the cook in my house, I asked my wife if we use their products. Unbeknownst to me, we use it a lot. Anytime my wife makes chili she uses their beans, and has adobo in the pantry. She has even used the Mojo marinade for pork. I have never had a bad meal and my wife says their products are the best. Their customer service is very friendly and helpful. I am glad I made that wrong turn and learned more about them. read more

I am a business owner trying to obtain an account and delivery with Goya for the last 4 months. There is always an excuse by someone as of why my account has not been set up. They keep telling me my delivery will be in on Thursday.. Thursdays comes and goes and no delivery. Three days go by and no one even calls me. I call and they say. " oh the guy is on vacation" !! Wait another 2 weeks.. oh the account has still not been set up! Two weeks latter you can now order. Oh finally I tell myself, placed the order.. you will get the order Thursday I will call you when we have a delivery time. Thursday morning goes by so I call.. at what time will the delivery be here. I dont know yet but I will let you know as soon as I know. Okay.. but my order is on the truck righ? They will be here? Yes yes. 3:00 pm and nothing so I call back We close at 4 pm.. are you still coming? Yes, yes but the truck is still an hr away from town.. so if you want we can have them come back tomorrow!! What? No!! No!! I will wait just make sure they come. 7:30pm. I text where is my order you guys suck!! 8:30pm SUPERVISOR call me. Five stars for Goya's customer service in the name of Karla Gonzalez. I had purchased a few cans of beans and was unhappy with the saltiness of the product. I faxed a complaint letter and was promptly sent a check refunding my purchase. Meanwhile, I discovered Goya's line of "low sodium" canned beans which are much better. I highly recommend Goya's dried peas and beans which are the staple of any vegetarian or vegan diet. read more

Goya used to make good foods and I love to use their "sazon" when I cook, but recently the quality has really gone down. Their frozen packaged food is a joke. For instance in the Prepared Specialties, the beef empanadas still have to be fried, where other healthier options can be oven baked or even microwaved. They contain very little beef, too much salt, and despite following direction to a tee, the outside fried but the inside dough was still raw. Then there are the tamales. The descriptions reads "ground corn and tender pieces of lightly seasoned pork" but what it should read is corn meal cake lightly sprinkled with tiny pieces of pork (if that's really meat). I'm trully disappointed. The only reason I gave two stars is because the seasoning packages are still worth getting. read more

So, decided to use my can of Goya green pigeon peas to add to my Christmas day dinner and ended up with absolutely an incomplete meal. Opened the can, and threw contents into my rice only to see a huge worm. Contacted them a few days later and was told to send can pictures and information and my contact info. To this day, I have not been compensated nor offered an apology. The rude, unprofessional consumer specialist claimed they sent me a check by regular postage for ten dollars and the fact that I had not received it, I should go check with my postal service. How can these poor excuse of individuals determine my loss and inconvenience was worth a mere $10, much less to remit check without using safe, reliable methods. From West Indian culture, am faced with many options including from my homeland, and to choose Goya foods and receive such substandard quality and treatment, I was forced to report the matter to my state's Department of consumer affairs and to tell of my experience publicly. read more
