This is a great little local gem if you want some casual home cooked seafood. They have a huge menu of cooked food options, I actually didnt see any fish for sale. So I chose the fried combo seafood platter ($10) and broiled salmon with salad and rice. The portions were HUGE and delicious. The 2 ladies who were cooking were VERY nice. Literally it is like mom's home cooking. The ambiance is very casual lile any fish market establishment. There is table seating there and soft drinks available for purchase. They will serve you at the table if you dine in. Overal a great CASUAL spot for a great seafood meal. I may recommend takout if you want ambiance, it's not fancy, but the food is more than worth the trip.

You get the bang for your buck here, prices aren't expensive, the food is fresh and abundance, you could feed a whole family with the trey of seafood and fries for about 15$! Support your local eateries man lol :) you'd be surprised on the great food you find just walking the avenue

The little hole in the wall. Food is amazingly fresh and we'll spiced. They only specialized of seafood. Small menu is a big plus, because you can make sure all ingredients are daily fresh. Restaurants with long menu usually use ingredients that stayed in the fridge for months. The owner/chef is very friendly and kind lady. The place feels so casual, like home.

If this place was near my house I'd order everyDAY. It's rare I'll drive a country mile for food but for this fish.. absolutely. The ladies here are on top of it - it's cooked right in front of you to go.. you can order it to save time either way it's fresh, and delicious -- You can eat in or take out but it still remains the same. FRESH & DELICIOUS -- There's not one negative I can point out - simply put you will not go wrong with Central Fish Market..

We walked by and the signs looked very appetizing also the prices were super cheap. The place looks like a fixer upper but it's clean. I used the bathroom to wash my hands and that was also clean. Although surrounded by fish laid out next to us on the freezer, there's not a strong fish smell. Fresh fish and huge portions!! (6.99$ for 12 shrimp and fries) Prices are super reasonable and staff is very nice!

Amazing food, tasty and high-quality as at good seafood restaurants in Egypt. We had grilled Bronzino, Fried shrimp and calamari. All was delicious and crispy. The rice was made Egyptian style fried with onions, was very authentic.

The issue is that the sandwiches sound delicious on the menu but the reality doesn't live up to my expectations. My husband order some spicy Mexican inspired fried catfish sandwich for himself and a fried scallop sandwich for me. The sandwiches presented well but both lacked flavor, salt & seasoning in general. Even the soups; one was supposed to be red lentils but looked mostly yellow lentil and again desperately needed salt for one and would have been improved with additional seasonings. Whoever made the manhattan clam chowder got the recipe correct. It was the only thing that was tasty without needing alteration. The owner is nice and after my first poor review offered to make me a replacement but I didn't take him up on the offer. If they only get it right while someone is watching over their shoulder, what's the point. It is NOT a cheap lunch so to be disappointed is a real bummer. Better to stick with the raw seafood items or some prepackaged items (hummus & great flatbreads).

Our hotel didn't have the tools we needed to prepare any of the gorgeous fresh fish in the counter but we loaded up on prepared foods and dried goods. The fruitti di mare was awesome, just like my Grandma used to make! The octopus salad was dynamite as well, all super fresh, and delicious. We snagged some caviar as well, made for a perfect picnic at our hotel. Everything is impeccably fresh, their prepared seafood salads are next level. Not only do they have an incredible array of fresh fish, but their shelves are also stocked with a thoughtful selection of dried goods, sauces, spices, and specialty items. So glad we stopped in and keep kicking out the awesome content Mark!

Stopped by after work but unfortunately happy hour was over at that point (I think we arrived at 6:30PM ish). Did not make a reservation but were sat down super quickly. The service was quick and attentive. Loved the ambiance and theme throughout the establishment. The bar in the front still gave that grove street vibe. We ordered Combo A (crawfish and headless shrimp) with their special seasoning plus fried catfish with sweet potato fries. Those sweet potato fries were amazing, best I've ever had. They were seasoned so well, I think cajun seasoning, and nicely crisp. The boil was good, wish it came with more of the sauce/seasoning. I liked the shrimp but was not a fan of the crawfish. Definitely going to return to try a different combination..

What you may not know is that in addition to sidewalk seating in the front, they have a cute courtyard area as well more within the restaurant. It is a bit more intimate and quiet than being in the front. The food is good! They have a nice selection ranging from lobster to crawfish. I ordered the shrimp basket which was delicious. I really enjoyed their home made lemonade as well. Price wise the place is reasonable given its location. I would definitely come back again.
